I broke that clip too, I was so frustrated with it I went to look for a video on how to remove without breaking it for when I do the other side tomorrow. Good to know it’s not a huge deal and goes back on tight. Edit: finished the install, turns out that broken clip was the least of my problems. Nearly every bolt to take the grill off gave me problems. One of them just snapped, another the clip came off so it was just spinning and wouldn’t loosen, the other side same bolt came mostly out then the clip came off and started spinning. Whoever was on the line for the front end that day didn’t give a shit. I managed it and it’s all back on tight enough with the remaining bolts but what a headache it was.
Good video. For the 2 front fascia pieces to get off without breaking the clips, you would have to take the whole grill off. They stay attached to the grill.
I got them on a website called retro shop. They were supposed to be OEM, but the detailer suspects that (at least the lens) is aftermarket due to the presence of Orange peel. Unless you're purposely getting aftermarket headlights, I would recommend getting OEM headlights from the dealership.
To avoid the broken clips, the tire has to come off and the inner fender well then you can reach the clips to the front trim piece under the headlamp.
Thank you. After watching this video im going to give it a go.
This sure helps me out ! Now I know what I'm in for ! Thank you for your video !

Great video very helpful. Even managed not to break those same clips.

I didn't know that! Thanks, I pinned your comment for others to see as well.
"these are body shops" ... which in my experience often break things too, and use glue :-)
Good point! They do that only for you to discover it years later when doing your own work haha
Good job! I'm impressed!
Can the interior lights be changed or should I buy a complete light?
Where did you buy the headlight at
Do you have the right headlight by any chance?
Where did you buy the headlights from ?

I swear everyone breaks those damn clips... I broke mine that belonged to a 2021 RAM..
So frustrating. Wish I knew (or could find out) how to push them out properly 😕
New trucks are total crap compared to working on a truck from the 1990's - mid 2000's !
Not sure I agree with calling them crap but SOOOOO much easier to work on those older trucks!!! I'd love a resto-mod truck one day 🤔
