Ain't no way will the game be only running on a pc over $2,000 I bet it should run alright for a mid range pc around $600-700 if not then they got some big optimization issues they would need to work on because any game that requires your set up to be higher then a console system in order to play is a hint that the optimization is gonna be bad. So hopefully the minimum requirement would be like 2070 and up or 1070 for minimum specs.
They obviously have no interst in running the game at anything BUT maxed out specs while showing it off but i suspect a GPU capable of ray tracing is likely to be the bare minimum recomended.

I have a 1080ti and will be getting a 3070 soon, and I have no issue with almost every game that's come out recently. People are so fucking console brained that they think anything less than the current gen hardware is unacceptable, but consoles have held back games for so long that most can't even utilize the full capacity of a 3000 series card.
Hello guys, someone who played at one of the events here, the PC I played on was definitely running the game on Max settings and experienced a little bit of stuttering. But I'm pretty certain you would not need this to run the game especially on lower settings.
@maltheri9833 could have I think 40vs40 in eternal crusade, planet side 2 has 1000vs1000. battlebit (not best graphics but would play 40k mod of battlebit lol) arma 3 40k mod can have big battles but needs work

The champions, like many other things in Space Marine 2, are clearly a shout out and a reference to the first game. It simply means a veteran / relic / adorned armor of a given chapter. Just look at the DLC in the first game: you had an Ultramarines Champion, Blood Angels Champion, Salamanders Champion, and other loyalist and traitor champions. It just means a pimped out version of a marine from your favorite chapter. In the first game, you had to use a bug to incorporate the pieces of that set, which was otherwise available only as a whole, in your custom armors. I reckon that Saber learned from that lesson and will allow you to use the bits as you see fit.

Others, don't deviate from the top graphics much. If it's the first case, then you probably will be able to run it. But if it's the second case... well, good luck.
The cheapest is a 4070 gpu and 13th gen cpu equivalent, which cant be the minimum, the absolute latest being the minimum is bonkers. I reckon it's this PC was built to run on max settings and show of how great the game looks, from a marketing standpoint I cant see them running a minimum spec build for private showcase. However even my PC wont be able to run it maxed settings if the equivalent of their cheapest Maingear is accurate. I have a 3060ti overclocked and an i9 11th gen all from the last few years. If I had to guess the minimum would be a 2060 and a 10th gen i5, most people will have to upgrade as its meant to be a next-gen game.

99% of modern games don't even utilize all hardware properly and haven't for over last 10+ years so I wouldn't worry too much about hardware. A few games are the exception but it all comes down how well it is optimized and how well it utilizes hardware, not the hardware itself. That is why you see people on some games with £2000+ GPU's still getting crap frames. Also some games use CPU more over GPU and vice versa. Pretty sure the new tech they using to spawn so many npc enemies is going to be rather CPU/multicore/threads intensive as well as GPU, not just GPU. Loading times would suggest an SSD/NVME as standard though and min 16+GB RAM. Medium settings probably a 6+ core cpu min and mid range GPU. If you aiming for ultra max settings at 240hz refresh rates and super smooth, then you going for whatever the max cpu/gpu is on the market with higher video memory on gpu, more cores on cpu etc, NVME, 32+GB RAM anyway....

or what about a free DLC for the chaplain that gives you a VIP/Protect the Leader kinda game mode like the Gears of War series? Randomly selects who will be Chaplain/Sorcerer with a fixed class for both sides and to gain a victory point you just have to eliminate the VIP, infinite respawns for the other 5 on both teams since they're just protecting them. First to 3 points!
If your PC can run most modern games that run on ps5 or xbox you should be fine. They make these games primarily for console, so if you can out muscle a console then you should be able to run any game this gen. Might have to lower afew settings to get it to run higher than 30fps though
My guess for recommended specs is this: 8 core CPU (i7-9700k/R7 2700x) GPU would probably be most 8gb cards (GTX 1070 ti / RX 5700-XT) 16gb RAM SSD storage, install size probably somewhere around 50 to 60 gigabytes. Darktide a graphically similar game is able to compress down below 60gb, also I think WWZ was only around 40 to 50 gigabytes iirc. I think overall the game won't be as hard to run as some people might think, their horde system would need to be super optimised to work on consumer PCs and their previous game WWZ has already proven that it's possible and I imagine SM2 version of the horde system is even more optimised. As for the graphical side of things it's hard to say, game does look amazing, but weather it'll be super hard to run or not is up to again optimisation, if GPU side is super optimised like the CPU side of things it should be possible to run the game decently even on much older cards.

When they are talking about chapter champions it looks like pre-sets like in the first game we got champions sets that are already pre-made that you can use in Multiplayer like the Ultramarines Champion, Salamander, Space Wolf and Blood Raven. Hopefully we have Black Templar , Dark Angels , Imperial Fist , Space Wolfs and something different Like White Scars or Raven Guard .
The AMD 7800 XTX is roughly equivalent to the Nvidia RTX 4070 but that is kind of hard to judge what would be the minimum requirement with this info. My guess is that any mid range gpu released after the PS5 should be able to handle it.

If it has Crossplay and will be releasing to Xbox and PS5, then a mid-range PC spec can run this on medium settings with FSR/DLSS. The minimum spec should be around 1080-2080 while 30 and 40 series can run it on medium or high depending which card you have, a 3060-3070 and 4060-4070 can run it medium to high with FSR/DLSS, 3080-3090 and 4080-4090 can run it on high 4K with FSR/DLSS.
at 60fps with high setting , depends on ur cpu. but if its decent and you have 32gigs of ram id say you could lock 60fps in 2k max settings. really depends on there optimization at that point.
I think min. will be in the area of i5 8th gen up / 16gb ram / 3060 opt.: fairly new i7 or r7 pref. x3d / 32gb ram ddr5 / 4080 or better. the demo systems are best of the best parts with all eye candy turned on. would bet they run a r9 7950x3d / 64gb ram / rx7900 xtx.
GPU wise if you have anything stronger than a 3070 or an AMD 6700XT you should be able to hit way more and hell of a lot over 60fps in 1440p on high setting if the game is optimised. Remember this is also getting released for PS5 and Xbox

You can look at their other game world war z if you wanna see some similair specs you will probably need slightly better build for space marine to run right
if they were specs for max setting id be pretty surprised. maybe at 60fps. Still there last game with all the hordes of zombies ran pretty well on lower end systems. If i had to guess from this, its probably running at 60fps with high to max settings. Anyone with a decent pc with a 3/4 series nvidia gpu should be sorted. Id imagine you probably might struggle with 16gigs of ram though.
Just seeing the gameplay so far, doesnt really scream high end pc specs assumiong this game will be optimal as well. Id imagine build perameters even in the second half of the 2010's should suffice enough on mid-low range playablitiy. Im just treating this game like any modern fps shooter. You can play modern day CoD on a semi-lemon rig honestly. Also, Im all in on the gold edition, seems like the perfect bundle for $10 extra
Is crossplay actually confirmed? I saw it mentioned in that developer interview on GameRant, but if anyone could corroborate, do they know how it works? (Like Pc and Xbox crossplay only, or all platforms like Destiny or Fortnite?)
Of course at a big event youre going to want to have the best specs you can have to not have egg on your face. Im sure when it comes out, the pc specs are going to be reasonable. My 2 cents.
This will be max settings for sure. Cyberpunk is a normal benchmark these days and I can’t imagine SM2 needing more power than that, I reckon you are good with mostly old gen cards. I think you will need an ok processor though because of this swarm technology, seems like it might need a fairly ok processor to actually run alongside their new swarm tech

Yeah, these are just high end AMD PCs. With these events, they’ll use high end tech to run the games to of course shine the game in the best possible light. If Saber was partnered with Nvidia, they would be using a 4090 in their PC builds.
You can't guess what the specs for a game will be due to the CPU they were playing on at those events... They get top notch PCs to make sure whatever game they have can be ran the best it possibly can. The specs aren't gonna be ridiculous, yes the game looks good but it's nothing mins blowing. If you're PC can handle World War Z at high or Ultra then it'll run Space Marine 2.
You can build both of those computers at 3:20 for ~$1.8k-$2.2k if you do it yourself and are thrifty and hunt for deals. Those prebuilt crapfiestas are so, so damn overpriced just because price gouging just doesn't exist for electronics, I guess. Get a prebuilt if you have no other choice, but if you do have a choice, buy the parts yourself and take it into a local, high quality computer shop and they'll put everything together for you, get your drivers installed and OS, and you'll probably save $750 at minimum, maybe $1k+.
I have a RTX 4080 Super, i hope this will be enough, my only fear is the monitor... i have a Samsung Odyssey G9 Oled, so 32:9... i dont see anywhere will the game support this type of aspect. 😢
I think the minimum Requirements are gonna be an RTX 2060. Recommend is probably gonna be 4070. I doubt the game is gonna be like cyberpunk 2077 where you needed to light your graphics card on fire for it to run.

Not a chance thes specs are correct. I can basically guarantee itll do juat fine on a 5600x and at worst want a 2070 not even a super. The games engine is desogned to handle swarms. Tbh if you just look up world war z those specs are probably accurate because although it isnt as pretty this emgine was desogned to do vastly more efficiently with the processing power available

Yeah this is likely high end recommended settings. Hopefully FSR and NVIDIA ray tracing will be usable together.

I think min. will be in the area of i5 8th gen up / 16gb ram / 3060 opt.: fairly new i7 or r7 pref. x3d / 32gb ram ddr5 / 4080 or better. the demo systems are best of the best parts with all eye candy turned on. would bet they run a r9 7950x3d / 64gb ram / rx7900 xtx.

GPU wise if you have anything stronger than a 3070 or an AMD 6700XT you should be able to hit way more and hell of a lot over 60fps in 1440p on high setting if the game is optimised.
Remember this is also getting released for PS5 and Xbox

You can look at their other game world war z if you wanna see some similair specs you will probably need slightly better build for space marine to run right
if they were specs for max setting id be pretty surprised. maybe at 60fps. Still there last game with all the hordes of zombies ran pretty well on lower end systems. If i had to guess from this, its probably running at 60fps with high to max settings.
Anyone with a decent pc with a 3/4 series nvidia gpu should be sorted. Id imagine you probably might struggle with 16gigs of ram though.
Just seeing the gameplay so far, doesnt really scream high end pc specs assumiong this game will be optimal as well. Id imagine build perameters even in the second half of the 2010's should suffice enough on mid-low range playablitiy. Im just treating this game like any modern fps shooter. You can play modern day CoD on a semi-lemon rig honestly. Also, Im all in on the gold edition, seems like the perfect bundle for $10 extra
Is crossplay actually confirmed? I saw it mentioned in that developer interview on GameRant, but if anyone could corroborate, do they know how it works? (Like Pc and Xbox crossplay only, or all platforms like Destiny or Fortnite?)

Of course at a big event youre going to want to have the best specs you can have to not have egg on your face. Im sure when it comes out, the pc specs are going to be reasonable. My 2 cents.

This will be max settings for sure. Cyberpunk is a normal benchmark these days and I can’t imagine SM2 needing more power than that, I reckon you are good with mostly old gen cards.
I think you will need an ok processor though because of this swarm technology, seems like it might need a fairly ok processor to actually run alongside their new swarm tech

@@jmgonzales7701 I imagine you will be able to run it but it won’t run too well, lowest settings and maybe aim for a lower frame rate. Depends how much you want to see the story. If you were planning to upgrade could just go for a super cheap 1660ti as they have some newer tech in them when compared to other 10 series cards.

Yeah, these are just high end AMD PCs. With these events, they’ll use high end tech to run the games to of course shine the game in the best possible light. If Saber was partnered with Nvidia, they would be using a 4090 in their PC builds.
You can't guess what the specs for a game will be due to the CPU they were playing on at those events... They get top notch PCs to make sure whatever game they have can be ran the best it possibly can.
The specs aren't gonna be ridiculous, yes the game looks good but it's nothing mins blowing. If you're PC can handle World War Z at high or Ultra then it'll run Space Marine 2.

You can build both of those computers at 3:20 for ~$1.8k-$2.2k if you do it yourself and are thrifty and hunt for deals. Those prebuilt crapfiestas are so, so damn overpriced just because price gouging just doesn't exist for electronics, I guess. Get a prebuilt if you have no other choice, but if you do have a choice, buy the parts yourself and take it into a local, high quality computer shop and they'll put everything together for you, get your drivers installed and OS, and you'll probably save $750 at minimum, maybe $1k+.
I have a RTX 4080 Super, i hope this will be enough, my only fear is the monitor... i have a Samsung Odyssey G9 Oled, so 32:9... i dont see anywhere will the game support this type of aspect. 😢
i think as long as your pc is spec'd better than a ps5 or an xbox equivalant then you will be fine

I think the minimum Requirements are gonna be an RTX 2060. Recommend is probably gonna be 4070. I doubt the game is gonna be like cyberpunk 2077 where you needed to light your graphics card on fire for it to run.
this won’t be 100% accurate. That being said, best to get a good gpu just in case. It’s a big game with a lot going on, don’t think a mid-tier will run it perfectly because it likely wont

Not a chance thes specs are correct. I can basically guarantee itll do juat fine on a 5600x and at worst want a 2070 not even a super. The games engine is desogned to handle swarms. Tbh if you just look up world war z those specs are probably accurate because although it isnt as pretty this emgine was desogned to do vastly more efficiently with the processing power available

Its less than a month from release and the ones who got to play couldn't play with friends!!!
