Please , in this tough time , while your focus is on the bigger industries, don't forget the slowly dying- struggling small business owners. Local small business owners are struggling to compete with foreign triads in areas of small businesses that were supposed to be DESIGNATED businesses for local citizens. Business like , kai bars, second hand clothing, service stations, tyre services, security, bottle shops , mini cash & carry shops... Why not come clear through a new parliamentary Bill protecting the interest of your local citizens who are keen & able to run these small enterprise??!! Foreigners can come but on larger scale business investments. We are nearly half a century of independence for goodness sake, leave sme to us locals. Last & not the least, the proposal by your government to increase the minimum wage of the country may be a good thing to say to get people's hopes high at this time. However, in my opinion , it will be a quick killer to small businesses . It needs careful consultation & interventions at many levels to take place first for it to be successful without the concerned effect. 🙏
