Prime Minister! You are talking about sending the students to overseas through whatever program you are sweetly preaching here but are you coming down to the nation's technical colledges, TVETS, Agriculture, Medicine Faculty and PNG University of Technology to improve in terms of improving the skills of every student who are living back in our country????? Or are you planning to send those who are graduating in our country to go overseas and work???? Start building your technology in the country while also sending STEM Students to overseas. PNG Unitech Engineering Departments do not have any modern and proper equipment's needed to be learned and yet we are saying another thing. HOUSE BAGARAP NA YET YUMI INO STRETIM.

Unlocking the Economic Potential of Coffee in Papua New Guinea: A Strategic Move by Prime Minister Marape In recent years, Papua New Guinea has been making significant strides in harnessing its natural resources to bolster its economy. Among its most promising assets is coffee, a crop that can thrive in diverse regions across the country. Prime Minister James Marape's recent commendation of Haom Builders for the establishment of a K10.6 million coffee exports office in Lae marks a pivotal moment in this journey. This strategic investment highlights the transformative potential of coffee for PNG's economy and underscores the importance of robust marketing strategies. The Ubiquitous Potential of Coffee in PNG; Coffee is one of PNG's most valuable agricultural exports. The country's unique climate and geography offer ideal conditions for cultivating high-quality Arabica and Robusta beans. What sets PNG apart is the ability to grow coffee virtually anywhere, from the highlands to the lowlands. This geographic versatility positions coffee as a sustainable and inclusive crop that can empower communities across the nation. Economic Benefits of Coffee Expansion; 1. Job Creation and Livelihoods: The coffee industry is a major employer in PNG, supporting hundreds of thousands of farmers and their families. With the establishment of the new export office in Lae, opportunities for employment are set to increase, benefiting local communities and reducing poverty levels. 2. Rural Development: Coffee cultivation fosters rural development by providing farmers with a reliable source of income. Investments in infrastructure, like the new office, help streamline the supply chain, ensuring that farmers receive fair prices for their produce and access to international markets. 3. Foreign Exchange Earnings: Coffee is a significant source of foreign exchange for PNG. By enhancing export capabilities, the country can increase its presence in global markets, boosting foreign exchange earnings and strengthening the national economy. 4. Market Diversification: Expanding coffee exports helps diversify PNG's economy, reducing reliance on traditional sectors like mining and oil. This diversification is crucial for long-term economic stability and resilience against global market fluctuations. The Importance of a Strategic Marketing Pathway; While the potential for coffee growth in PNG is immense, the key to unlocking its full economic benefits lies in effective marketing. Prime Minister Marape's focus on a strategic marketing pathway is essential for several reasons: - Branding and Quality Assurance: Establishing a strong PNG coffee brand that highlights quality and sustainability can differentiate it in the competitive global market. This approach can command premium prices and attract discerning consumers. - Market Access: Improved marketing strategies can open up new markets and strengthen existing ones. By building relationships with international buyers and understanding market demands, PNG can secure a more significant share of the global coffee trade. - Capacity Building: Investing in marketing education and training for farmers and exporters ensures that stakeholders are equipped with the skills needed to navigate complex global markets effectively. The new K10.6 million coffee exports office in Lae is more than just a building; it is a beacon of opportunity for Papua New Guinea's coffee industry. With Prime Minister Marape's commendation and strategic vision, PNG is poised to harness the full economic potential of coffee. By focusing on robust marketing strategies and leveraging the crop's widespread cultivability, the country can achieve sustainable economic growth and improve the livelihoods of its people. This is a commendable step toward a prosperous future for PNG, driven by the rich aroma of its coffee.
