- This is a slice from the film "Scent of a Woman." Starring Al Pachino and he got a well deserved Oscar for it. In this scene/film he makes you believe he is entirely blind with his eyes wide open.
Now that's acting.

I have a couple of blind friends & in this movie, Mr. Pacino makes you believe he's blind.
THAT is talent!
Mr. Pacino viewed everything through his peripheral vision. He didn't look at anything or anyone directly.
Jo DeMarc Except when he adjusts his hair after they break up the fight.
What did your blind friends themselves think of his portrayal though?
if they are blind then how the hell do they have any thoughts about a movie or al Pacino's portrayal
bpf 007 dumbass
well deserved oscar...
I agree ....however it felt like a long time coming. he definitely deserved it in his other notable performances
+Cole Friend yeah..... long overdue before he finally got it. Such a powerful and charismatic actor.
Well deserved, but not for this movie. It was more a lifetime achievement Oscar, for the outrageously brilliant performances in Godfather II, Dog Day Afternoon and Serpico.
They say Pacino won the oscar for the wrong movie, he should've won it for the godfather part II they say.
well, I say it's a well-deserved Oscar for this movie, and he probably should've won a couple more.
Mahmoud Waheed He deserved an Oscar for Serpico, Godfather Part 1, Godfather Part 2, and Dog Day Afternoon.
Now he deserves one for The Irishman too.
@@CipherSerpico brad pitt will win it becuase Joe pesci was also nominated for the same movie as pacino. Im really sad about it too
im back, not Headhunterx1 I’d actually be happy to see Pitt get the Oscar. I think he’s a very under-appreciated actor. Obviously, he’s one of the biggest movie stars ever, but I still don’t think he gets the credit he deserves.
He was great in Once upon a time...
@@CipherSerpico nah its better if Al wins, he got robbed for Serpico, and Godfather 1 and 2.
im back, not Headhunterx1 Ya, but I’m cool with Brad winning too.
So beautiful, he's not even reacting when insults are directed to him, but as soon as the slightest lack of respect touches to Charles, he reacts
I remember the first time I saw this movie. Al Pacino was just so brilliant, totally blown away! I still say this is his finest work since The Godfather.
+D. J. Tanner .... almost buddy , but The Devil's Advocate was very good for him & HEAT .
Again, Agreed.
+D. J. Tanner Try "Frankie and Johnny" for one of his best. Not a tough guy at all. Just a sad unlucky cook. Al can do anything!!
pup lover, yes i agree he was great in that movie. Al is one of the all time BEST actors!
+D. J. Tanner
He was brilliant in Serpico and Dog Day Afternoon too.
Man, they dont make actors like that any more.
de niro hoffman mongomery clif james dean yeah you godamn right
Matches Malone Leo de caprio. Gonna play Tony Montana in the Scarface remake
fuck off he is! lol
Don't forget Joaquin Phoenix. Imo the best actor of his age.
Charlio finally someone else. Joaquin is soooo underrated
This film is packed with 'BEST ACTING SCENES EVER'.
He was better in Jack and Jill.
+elykor321 corect
Leonard cohen dance me to the end of love
Haha, u wish.
@Peaches Peaches nah you suck
Bravo to Pacino's performance. I seen this movie a Long time ago. Remember gentleman be men to a Woman. The scent of her now and 10 years down the road Will never change, not the love she gave you wether awhile or Long time. Be great full and thankful. I may not be blind. I'll tell ya this , if you don't appreciate your Abundance. You'll end up alone with loss . Bc you threw it away or gave up on it , didn't know what you had till its gone. You'll never know how I relate to Al in this scene. It breaks my heart..
have seen this film a million times, Al Pacino is just great from start to finish, before this scene when he enters in the house and the lady surprises him from behind he reacts so brilliantly, like a true blindman would do. Amazing
Hoo-ah
Hidious Vanity hoo ah!
HAH!
that hoo-ah had me dying 2:15
Gman you do realize it was a movie right and he was acting lol?
A "Jewish Bolshevik" would help accelerate a violent proxy war against a Bolshevik state? For some reason I find that hard to believe.
Not denying he was a horrible person - but you know, throwing around words like Communist and Jewish to insult someone meritlessly isn't very intelligent.
LEGEND ! Al Pacino is an acting Genius xx
True....True.
ammorreztristar he's the greatest after brando
I think alpacino is better than brando
aman No chance
Even blind people that watched this scene were like, "goddam, that's some good ass acting!"
LOL!!!
you deserve an oscar award. :-D
Can blind people watch a movie? I didn't know. Maimi, mat6 tvoyu, what were you drinking?
captain obvious to the rescue
I’m not supposed to be laughing right now but I am and that’s foul 🤦🏾♂️ 😂
I'm in awe how Pacino played blind the whole film with no glasses or contacts to hide behind. I've tried it myself and it's freakin' hard to do. LOL
+Shane Anthony Well, he does have time between shooting scenes, so I'm sure that helps. But yes, it's quite difficult.
+Shane Anthony I reckon I could rival him if we were both underwater.
+Shane Anthony Im blown away how he drove through so many narrow streets at high speed without bumping into anything.
+Shane Anthony you just look down at one deriction
+PureMadness69 yes but when you're focusing on getting in character and remembering lines it becomes harder and a moment where you forget to act blind ruins the whole shot. acting well is hard enough acting well whilst acting blind is a real challenger.
Brilliace on every level. Pacino can say more
with silence than anyone. The tension jumps
off the screen.
Remember his first murder in Godfather, sitting at the table, damn that was crazy that u can see his decision making just by looking at his silent face
That has always been with De Niro. More with silence, u are wrong here. Sorry.
Watch Soldier with Kurt Russel.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soldier_(1998_American_film)
"Kurt Russell spoke only 104 words in the entire movie despite being in 85% of the scenes."
Over all Kurt Russel might not be as good as Pacino but I don't think that there is a better movie where most of the acting is without speaking.
This scene really captures why we fell in love with Pacino.
I am not a big fan of movies but got recently addicted to watch this actor's clips
"I was gonna go now I'm not leavin".lol!!!!!!
How a man can be so much into a character!! I have never seen such a pure acting!!
Who can be short, blind, and still intimidating as hell?
Anyone played by Pacino, that's who...
WHHHHOOOOO HHHAAAAAAH
Pacino is short?

His Honor abused, his past insulted. He takes it ,keeps his cool
but the second the young one was targeted HE ATTACKED. What an inspiration
#Respect
One of the best films iv'e ever seen in my life.
Heat 1995, Michael Mann (director) ....astonishing...unforgettable...
The Godfather 1&2, Scarface, Carlito's Way.....all Pacino masterpieces
Uzair Amanat And Sea of Love
Donnie Brasco was phenomenal
Carlito's way was good too.
I get the feeling that Slade's family was thinking deep down, "Go ahead, BUST his windpipe!"
ANYONE who disrespects Al Pacino in this scene has no soul!!!!!!!. Pacino broke my heart the first time I saw this film, I damn near felt suicidal after watching this scene in particular. Al made me forget I was watching a movie, felt like I was at the dinner table... This acting is beyond words, its almost Alien.
Nothing is better than a man who stands up for his friend
I love how he grabs him, gives him a chokehold....shows how much he cares about Charlie.
I am simply stunned by this man's versatility. Legend for a reason. His eyes speaks thousand words, his eyes have got so much going on. Truly an exceptional artist.
This is such a sad scene. The whole movie is sort of depressing but yes it is a great acting scene from Pacino who's awesome the whole movie.
His acting in ending scene to Godfather 3.. will never be matched.. that was powerful
"I'm no fu@@kin' good and I never have been" what a line!
what a delivery...
They just don't make films like this anymore
They just don't have actors like Pacino anymore . What a movie
De Niro always better.
@@Aman-nk5uq Na
@@Aman-nk5uq lol in your Dreams
he is using his peripheral vision.. great acting technique
The dude already looks blind in real life. Not really technique. Look at him in any other movie.
@@psps6623 what are u even saying 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
When Frank grabs Randy's throat, that moment looks totally realistic. Just the way the actors played that part of the scene was perfect.
the consistency of this guy is amazing, simply overwhelming
I especially liked Chris O'Donnell, no line, just great reacting.
+Jack Martin u know, i thought the same thing! the guy is just using body language to express his emotions!
+Jack Martin
Yes, he was so good in this film also
With a scene like this talking about Chris o Donnel feels underwhelming and the last thing u notice
@@alephmorricone7207 well I don't agree.
Al Pachino is the best and only best right up there with Robert De niro
Marlon Brando
do you even know who Marlin Brando is?
john maison You're talking to me?
hes better than deniro stfu dumb fuck
James Kagney, Orson Welles, River Pheonix, John Cazale (5 oscars in 5 movies) and even Jackie Gleason in the honeymooners is a hard role to top.. Brando is up there as well because he is a superstar to emulate.
I grew up with all of this mans movie’s he is The master. Everything he touches is golden. I love to see him act it’s poetry in motion.
He is a masterpiece.
Incredible film.. One of my all-time favourites !!
This film and especially this scene broke my heart back when i watched it when i was 12-13! I was all heart eyes for chris o donnell, but al pacino's acting had me riveted, it was so powerful despite playing a blind person he was still intimidating and exuded an aura of authority👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💕💕💕 if u want to witness top class acting and be a movie worth your while, this is it!!
Al Pacino! BEST ACTOR 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
How can peeps unlike this marvelous piece of acting ?
Why al Pacino why do you have to be such a great actor you just make me see you again and again forever
I've seen this movie today (3 am) for the first time and I can say that I really, really love it!!!!!It's a wonderfull film with interessting characters and wonderfull actors and it's good without blood or dying people! A GOOD film!
Pacino was flawless. So was Bradley Whitford. You can feel the tension and the hate they have for each other.
THIS folks, is how you win an Oscar.....
What a great actor!
Al Pacino ... my all-time favorite. It just doesn't get any better. When he got back from
filming "Bobby Deerfield," overseas - I got a personal phone call as my Graduation gift along with 6 authentic signed photos. Thanks to Lori for taking care of me ...... 1976 ... what a
pleasant surprise.
Roger C I wanna see oscar Isaac be in remakes for the movies he already did like scarface. he looks a lot like him.
"I'm no fucking good...and I never have been"
the feels of that line...goosebumps
my favorite movie, I recommend it to those who have not seen!
what movie is this?

Of eventual West Wing fame.
+Carson Tan I think he sounds like Jack Nicholson in "The last detail"
hhhhhh 😂😂😂 yeah
Rip to real acting. One of the greatest performances on earth.
The best of many Pacino scenes. Thank you for sharing!
Can't stop laughing at "vinny came out okay"
The way the Colonel goes from smoldering rage to humiliation to utter anguish when Randy says "Some people don't deserve to see" and then back to rage is like shards of glass in the heart. Each emotion perfectly and wordlessly accomplished. What Jordan was to basketball and Nureyev was to dancing, Pacino truly is to acting.
The real gem is Chris O'Donnell's reactions in the scene.
Such an underrated film. This scene and the last speech at the end were great.
never piss off al Pacino otherwise he will break you
Pacino brings up here a trick Brando showed this profession in various films of his the genius of demonstrating. Be very calm, as if nothing is wrong with him in the scene at hand, then instantly explode the scene into a spectacular fury. Well done!
I can’t believe writers don’t come up with great parts for Al Pacino.
And then he made Al Pacino, rested and said that was a good one!!
Agreed. Any movie Pacino has taken part in became the best ever
Al Pacino is up there with the greats
Not the greatest tho.
THANK YOU FOR PUTTING THIS UP - Uploading this very important piece of cinema History. 10/10 kudos
Important scene! Frank's reaction here is perfectly logical, he agrees with Randy!, he knows he failed those kids and it is eating him alive everyday. He's not going to beat the shit out of Randy for bringing the truth to the surface because, as rash and as crude as Frank is, he is a man of integrity. He respects and admires a good character and believes in strong men with integrity who want to do good in the world. This is why he defends Charlie so vigilantly and also why he (agrees with Randy) can't forgive himself for ruining the lives of those boys. Up to this point Frank has been a man on the edge just going through the motions, drinking, mocking reality, unwilling to come to terms with what he's done and what it means. Randy brings it to the surface for him and Frank even encourages it. Frank makes the decision to end his life here... He doesn't have the heart to tell Gretchen and the rest of the family (better they don't know). But he lets Willy know, 'bye Willy (..forever, because..) I'm no fuckin good...'
Frank is the man in the dark, both physically and figuratively.
Which kid's lives did Frank ruin?
And whenever i feel down, 3:50 minutes of al's performance gets me back on track
This scene is great. You can see that Frank was clearly hurt by everything he said about him, and even more he's hurt that even though he is blind his family does not care about him to invite him over for during the holidays.
"Goodbye Willy...I'm no fucking good...never have been"...such great line delivery.
Can't believe Pacino was gona turn this movie down.
cuz he's goddamn Al Pacino simple the Godfather of acting!
Just Great Pacino as always!
I think I can only do that stare when I am wasted when my eyes, just wander and get lazy. Quite a remarkable performance. I may have to watch again. Thank you sir for the upload, and greetings from the Peoples Republic of Kalifornia.
HIS NAME IS CHARLES!
His name is Charles

That's so funny cause you know being mad about the guy saying the wrong name is just his excuse
Wow never knew of this movie.
Love mr. PACINO I'll have to see this movie soon.
He an amazing actor.
sad way to say good bye -for good- to his brother. Great acting Indeed

@@smoothcriminal28 he's up there
Obviously Al has the role spot on ; but ya gotta love the surprise panther attack , that comes out of nowhere . TY for posting
goodbye willie im no fucking good and ive never have been
Yep. In this movie it described the character precisely that Al Pacino played. He played an arrogant asshole bully that was no good to anyone.
MikeSPx24bj9 I disagree. This scene certainly but the full film in its entirety makes it clear that behind the brash behaviour he's a very deeply hurt and troubled man indeed.
MikeSPx24bj9 it also shows the ugliness of people who were too cowardly to face him at his best
ryunokage88 They'd have come off worst though 😉
This was some of his best work. I enjoyed the Devil's Advocate and this movie tremendously. The speech in the end was amazing.
Ah, reminds me of my family.
Mine in reverse. They just never bothered inviting each other. Both are kinda sad. Maybe that's why i became an A.R. coach, so i can get people out of toxic nonsense like that. And make no mistake, its as toxic as breathing in cigarette smoke every day.
Marc Vince
Good on you for that.
Marc Vince what is A.R. coaching? I would like to learn more about it. Thanks.
Yeah! I hear ya. In my family, abuse does not run in it, the word abuse should be on the family crest!!
HOLY SHIT!! I even forgot that movie even EXISTED!!
I'm gonna watch it once again RIGHT NOW! GREAT UPLOAD! Big thanks! :)
Have a nice day everyone! :) ;)
Chris O'Donnell was an acting genius in those days, agreed.
Even the way he pulls the hair out of his eyes, what an actor.
I like that his character takes all the abuse but the second he starts to talk bad about the kid he steps up and does something.
yh thats exactly what i took away from this, which shows hes not really an asshole
For me this is up there with his finest work. Love this man
How does he DO that? It's scarily brilliant and all that , but how does anyone get to be that good?
Natural curiosity and extreme discipline.
He's the Devil.
+Roger Hunter You mean the choke hold? One doesn't get to be an Army Ranger for nothing. One doesn't become a Ranger without learning about hand to hand combat.
***** Just thinking about the quality of Pacino's acting. He never disappoints.
+Roger Hunter Years and years of acting training with classes, mixed in with some natural talent, and excellent direction. Screen/stage presence helps too, but only for certain types of characters and the characters Pacino tends to play do need some type of presence that you can feel.
yes this is a good film. great performance by Mr Pachino and supporting cast. ☺👍👍
Al Pacino one of the finest actors ever..however, look at the position of the tie at 1:39 and 1:44 you will be surprised how they missed it....
Well, there goes his acting career!
"Done in by a crooked tie, HOO AAH!!!"
lol. I agree but still Tony Montana still rules the world!
You sir have amazing observation skills there.
Its a great observation, but easily explained away by him straightening it up in prepped for what he knew he was about to it :)
Pacino embodies a genius de Niro can only dream of, Pacino is up there with Brando & Clift. That's it.
The genius of overacting that is lol Pacino could only wish he had the versatility and subtleness De Niro has in his acting. Brando introduced us to method acting while De Niro took it to another level.
al is a legend
I love the fact that Al only loses it when he gets Charlie's name wrong. I really was unsure about this movie but this was the point where I was hooked.
Man, but them boys sure did act it up right there in that there acting scene. Acting.
🎥ALL TIME GREAT!!!!!! Not a word in the room, everyone sitting, watching his craft like a total eclipse #AMAZING
WWHYYYYY is an Angry Al so great O.O ....???
he makes me cry ,what a great actor!
He will always be 'Don' Michael Francis Corleone to me. And NOBODY trashes The Don at the evening meal.
This will be and is the only actor who acted a scene as a blind and nailed it to the core
I bet that the asshole nephew does not do that again.
It's a movie. It's not real.
*****
Same as his theory isn't it.
***** You are the worst kind of person.
Was in a hotel in Spain when this movie came on randomly.
Excellent film. Hoo-ah!!!
damnit i keep coming back to watch this
to me al pacino is the greatest hollywood actor. i know brando, de nero, daniel day-lewis, tom hanks and all cud do this character in their own style and that wud be a hit roo but i have found that al pacino's body movement and facial gesture during his acting and delivering dialogues is so much better than others that has made his ahead of others in my opinion. everyone has his favourites, i like and regard other actors too, but pacino is so much involved in his character and he invents and adds so much to a character that i cant but say that he is the best of them all.
"you ever watched scent of a woman...................... on weed?"
