- Seems like a simple subject, but a lot can be done to watercolor a realistic group of rocks. Keith shows you a couple techniques he uses.

💥 I’ve always wanted to paint rocks that actually looked like rocks!!
THANKYOU for taking the time to teach us the proper way to DRAW them.
- That seems to be just as important as the hues you give them.
Awesome tutorial‼️
I think it's great how you two work together. So many people on RUclips mention they will do something during a video and then forget to do it because they get side-tracked along the way. Your teamwork is awesome so a big congtats on the format guys. Keep up the great work, subscribed after only watching 2 vid's - a record for me!
Wow, Thanks! Mark and I always appreciate feedback, we REALLY like positive feedback! Thanks again!
Thank you again
I hope it will help me
Just meed to practice more
A mountain is just one big rock. This helps me with my mountains. Thanks
I love your banter 😂 it reminds me so much of my friends. I’ve been practicing watercolours and am getting bored with florals. I’m going to try this and variations on it in my watercolour journal tomorrow.
Enoyable rocks. Liked every minute of the video.
Thank you!
I almost swooned when I saw the way the paper took the water and paint. Yum !!
Also love the interplay between you and Mark - it's like 2 brothers having jabs at each other! You have a very relaxed way of teaching and explaining. Thank you for this! I never thought about pink rocks - great idea. I zipped over to your materials list/website - your paintings are lovely. I particularly like the hawk and osprey. I just watched a PBS Nature episode on ospreys - they have a hard life. (Arrrghh - a fine wench! 😂)
Oh my gosh thanks from Mark and I, covid has set us back with our videos but the worst seems to be over and we will be back creating more trouble...
Again thanks for your input and encouragement!
I have a great idea....why don't you take this demonstration of rocks and add the background and ground shadows as a separate lesson which builds on this one? That would be really helpful to your viewers.
Very good lesson, but I wish you would let the demonstrations take as long as they take. :-) There's certainly no pressure from your viewers, who can watch it in segments if they want to.
This is awesome!
I've just found your channel and these rocks rock :) You have a new subscriber and I hope to learn from you. Thanks for sharing your great work.
Lol... I'm a first time viewer, reading comments & see that I wrote pretty much the same thing 😀

These are awesome looks awesome👏✊👍 🙏❤🤗💕
This was soooo helpful
Awesome!
If you use lineart, is it easier to sketch in the individual facets or is it easier to paint them into an outline of the rock ?
Its lovely
You guys rock
Thanks for sharing your knowledge! I enyoy it very much. It is a shame for me that I cannot learnt all the details that you say because of the language...I don`t understand english very much...It is my fault...I'm sure if i understood i would learnt much more from you because even if you speak slowly and it seems you teach clear, I cannot unders. But as i said, it is may fault. Anyway lots of thanks!!
How did you do the recording with two cameras?
Beautiful paintings .. Just little thought, keep moving the painting paper distracts the viewer attention, the least moving the better is .. Thanks for the excellent lessons ..
Honestly I rather liked the fact that he moved the paper around to get a better angle on it. It's like 'showing your work'.
Thankyou.
Those rocks are lovely! Keith, what brand of watercolor do you use in this painting, White Nights? Thank you for the video
thank you :)
Type of paper?? Hot/cold gram lb?
Hey John, I’m sorry I usually mention that. It’s arches 140 cold press. It’s great for pros. It’s great for amateurs. It’s pricey, but buy it online.
Mark!!! Has a budget
Lol
Useless demo he assume you already know a lot never heard of the colours he use’s turned off video
