Set off in moderate weather, really windy, foggy and horizontal rain on the summit. Decided for safety to scrap the ridge walk that takes you back near the Watkins path. Went Pyg and cut down onto miners. We knew we could still cut across early to get back near Watkins to get to the car but we walked the path right back to Pen Y pass and then hiked an extra 5 miles to the car.
