These are great reviews of a very important sector, light field and 3D displays. I bought the Lume Pad 2 based on your reviews plus a demo I saw at a immersive reality conference (AWE), and I really like the 3D model to the display experience.. Interested to see what this laptop can do. Also, it appears to me in all of these 3D displays that you get a stronger sense of 3D when you use synthetic 3D content, ergo, gLTF, gLB. Likely this is from the ability of 3D to have a great Z depth. I do enjoy filming 3D videos, the effect is quite good when you have the right content to film (Lots of depth variation), but I am seeing the best results with 3D models I purchase or make when I control the Z Depth. Thoughts? Interested to hear how this laptop compares to the Lume Pad 2. In particular I am curious how it handles 3D videos, photos, versus 3D models.
Great unboxing! Really enjoyed it! I am thinking about to buy it! But I have one question. Does the 3D still work when you're about 2 to 3 meters (10 feet) away from the laptop? Because I would like to place it on my coffee table and then game from my couch. If yes then it's a buy!
Finally got around to testing this out a bit. Three meters is a stretch. I think when you go beyond two meters is when it really loses track of you

While the laptop is exciting, compared to the Lume Pad 2, most people cannot justify $3500 for just the 3D features. I am hoping that the laptop doesn't distract you from finishing your Lume Pad app reviews, including such apps as Mosaik and Moonlight.
I completely agree. But I do want people to be able to see how far along the technology has come, especially for those who are really interested but wouldn’t purchase a laptop just for 3D features. Definitely not done with the Lume Pad 2 review series, I have a lot more planned for the 3D tablets 😊
Hey for watching 3d films In the dark would it work
I think it works ok if you have the laptop on your lap or on a table or desk right in front of you because the screen is so bright. I can test this again to make sure though
