I watched those videos 3 days ago and they were great. I’m glad to see the female protagonist romancing Ryuji and the rest of the guys.

@cutejustice It's just a MASSIVE amount of effort for a feature that isn't in any way necessary anyway. Playing through Persona 3 as Kotone rather than Makoto is such a different experience it's shocking. In that game they get away with it a little easier since they don't have to animate any cutscenes, but in P6 they'd have to animate every cutscene two times to make it work. I love the idea of it, and I really want them to do it, but if there's a reason not to, it's that, lol
@@MarshTheRUclipsChannel That’s not fully true though. Majority of cutscenes will just change the pronouns from he to she (or they could make it neutral). The only arguable difference is they would have to create romance cutscenes for the fem protag which is barely even the game and small enough that it wouldn’t cause a game to chug.
Edit: Oh also, they wouldn’t have to animate every scene two times, just the hand-animated ones. A lot of the cutscenes are animated with the character already in it (which is how modders are able to have unique characters be part of cutscenes). So only hand-drawn ones would need two times but even still it’s just a video file that can be played and are often short.
@cutejustice Yeah, that's what I was referring to. That'd still mean they gotta pay whoever animates them more, unless they cut down on the amount of anime cutscenes. Social links and stuff aren't very difficult to change, sure, but all of this is still stuff that Atlus just doesn't have much incentive to do. They could just have one concrete gender for the protagonist, and people would still adore the game regardless (assuming it's as good as the previous games)

From a modders perspective this mod could actually be a gold mine for anyone courageous enough to RE it
I saw this mod on Faz's channel too. Very nice to see how far P5R on PC has come.
So, I like the tone of the VA. I do. But her delivery feels too... emotionless? flat? there's not enough 'umph' in her delivery, especially for the Persona summoning lines.
yup, there’s definitely a lack of enthusiasm from what i can tell but i’ll give the VA the benefit of the doubt and assume they’re still new to it which i can understand

This mod is amazing and i really lo e what you guys did with the model and how well you translated Joker into a girl character, however, as a good chunk of people have already said the Voice lines are pretty much basic, i really hope we can get a final version of this mod with the same VA but with a better overall acting

Does she have some of her own custom animations or is she using some of male Joker's animations? I remember the p3 femc mod and how weird Joker's animations looked on her but fem!Joker's animations look pretty smooth so I'm curious.
Also, I like the little detail of Joker's hair being tied up in her Leblanc model.
As I understand it’s fundamentally an edit of Joker’s actual character model and so wouldn’t be as awkward as the FeMC model.

The VA sounds a good bit less impactful but I'll chalk it up as inexperience and a time crunch and the second being the camera angles not taking Fem!Joker's size into account which makes certain shots look a bit silly, like in 0:20

For a Persona 6, I'd like to see dual protagonists but coexist together. Let me explain, parts of the same team, but you can choose whether to follow the story of her or him. Without going to eliminate a figure if you choose one or another.
A bit like Pokemon with Rivals, or Resident evil 2.
dayum, this is actually good, but I for the voice actor it has a little bit of problems, she just repeats the words but doesn't add emotion to it, while the OG Joker would say "persona" he would yell like calling out to it, but the female VA sounds like she's just saying persona like it's a normal thing

There should have been a FEMC for royal and it should have been Kasumi because Kasumi has bout the same clothing scheme as Joker
Thing is, opposite to P3's case, making Kasumi the FeMC would entail re-writing half the story, or go "the lazy route" by swapping Kasumi and Ren's roles in the game, thing that would cause an ammount of issues beyond my ability to explain.

Kasumi would have been a better FemMC than love interest. She added nothing to Royal.
@@yusukekitagawa1122 honestly, it drives me up the wall that people rag on Marie, and yet praise Kasumi, even though she’s arguably at the far worse offender of everything, they accuse Marie of.
i think her design could use some work in order to make her stand out more instead of just using a combination of P5D joker and Ringo’s PT outfit from SH2 more as i can still see male joker in alot of angles
but other than that.. solid job on the mod!

The only think i dont like about the female voicelines is that she doesnt scream/shout where male joker normally screams/shouts but other than that this mod is so cool!

theres some parts missing of her voices but still good 😊
personally I'm not super into rule 63 designs that amount to just "original protag hair with bad extensions" and the voice acting imitating Male Joker ain't really it but it's a nice mod nonetheless! it looks like there was a lot of thought and work done on this one, it's pretty neat!

I downloaded this mod about 2 weeks ago and it says it adds ryuji as a romance option but it didnt give me a option did anyone else also get this error or know what i could have possibly done wrong

I think this is really good, but if I had to give some criticism I think the voice is perfectly fine but I feel like there's a lack of urgency when calling out personas like there's a haste when having to say Izanagi okami Picaro but I dunno I feel like it's lacking some of that exaggerated anime energy voice actors put into their roles. But other than that banging good job

I think the modders made a mistake in making her have a long hair. All the other female Phantom Thieves have short hair, except for Ann, who has pigtails anyway, and Futaba, who doesn't have animations with much movement and has her hair clearly by her back. I think this was made to simplify the animations in-battle, and well, it is lacking in Jok-her, so yeah.
The voice could be improved. Joker's voice is generally very strong and even a bit raspy, but out of battle, his voice is soft and half-whispered. Finding a VA who can have both aspects would be ideal.
And Kasumi, who's hair is in a ponytail
Gonna be honest, not as big a fan of the voice as I am with regular Joker.

The voice acting is kinda cringy ik there was a hard effort but it feels like it didn’t deliver that sensation the male joker voice acting did but overall great work

Mod and all is okay, but the voice lines make me cringe a bit. Its like there was no effort put into it.
Who did her voice?
the voicing itself is not actually that bad, there are a few issues however. the pronunciation of persona names is a bit off, namely with the term "picaro". we hear Xander speak it as "pee-car-oh", yet she says it "pick-are-oh". is also lacks the true transition from a male voice to a female voice. its a little hard to describe, but i think how she says it isnt similar to how Xander does it. it has nothing to do with the differnce between a male and female VA, more of the VA direction. still pretty good though!

Its made very well, but the sound... Yeah, she doesnt have any impact in her words. Ren, have that "SATANAYA!" kind of calling persona. But here, its more like "satanaya...". (Nerdy time)
When you call persona, you show your True self. With Courage, and fire in heart. But here, its more like she's reading a book. But, still. Mod is very well made!

I don't think the modder can do much about hand drawn animation unless they have an artist who knows how to do hand drawn animation in anime style similar to the game
@jujublue4426 I mean the ones that use game assets. Or are rendered in the game engine. The hand drawn ones can also be circumvented since there's been like three recreations of them. Using different characters in them. I think even one of the creators even actually posted the source code online when people were using the dancing all night characters in animations. Since they are of higher quality and didn't need any additional tweaking to work right

If I have to add some constructive criticism, it seems that when she says the voice lines, it sounds kind of... bland, unlike the male variant which is like "ARSENE!" where this is more like "Arsene."

Oof… honestly… not good. The character model is atrocious. It just looks like Joker with a mullet strapped against its will. As for the VA… well she can read ? There’s a distinct lack of intonation. And her voice doesn’t fit the character model. I mean it still looks like Joker. A new and original character model would be better and allow the (clearly beginner) VA to have more freedom when giving a voice to the character. A female protagonist doesn’t mean a female Joker. Remember P3P ?

The worst thing is what the video does not show you, which is the animation and how the model interacts with the world. It seems nothing was tweaked. When they make you sign the confession in the prologue the pen still moves as if it was being held by the male model, but since they have different proprlortion, the pen simply overs 5 inches above the hand, same thing when you have breakfast at the beginning of the game with the spoon, or the handcuffs. Beside that, the model keeps clipping through itself, and also into the bed, and when it does have to look sideways starting from idle position, it often tretches the neck unnaturally
