Its clear that this mod is still in HEAVY production and still has a decent amount of kinks to iron out but still the amount of effort put into it just from editing the files, is astounding, with enough time and effort we may be looking at one of the most passion filled mods yet, and i for one could not be more excited

Impressive work by the person who made this, and I doubt a Female Protag would change things much, if anything it would make Akechi's dialog come across even more psychotic!

@@jackflynn412 understandable. All 3 of them wanted to be special. In Persona 5, the phantom thieves tried convince Akechi that he’s more than special, including Junpei and Yosuke.
I wish her voice had more energy put into it (i.e. the original Joker didn't fear screaming atop his lungs to call upon his personas); despite that, her voice is pretty fitting! I absolutely love how it turned out, and if the actress eventually gives it a few more energetic passes, this mod will be perfect. Also, does the bathouse scene with the boys still happen? I'm curious how that would go. (by the way joker's battle protrait still takes the male version)
Minako/Kotone in P3P had an opposite personality to Minato (I call him this to not confuse with Makoto Nijima), so this makes a lot of sense imo
3:12 also has a line from Male MC as well. The longer hair also looks a bit odd in certain locations honestly, and her face seems a bit... too masculine over all. Like, it doesn't even match a sort of "masculine woman" as well tbh. I suppose that this is just a mod though.
They really want to make Joker related to Bayonetta canon.

Persona 3 portable is the weird outlier though, we got all these amazing 3d games then we got p3p who is 50/50 2d and 3d. Other than that, all three are on pc and all are modable :D

I'll admit the hair on the model looks so much like Joker that it really confuses me if the mod is actually there- but jesus, that's already an incredible work! Specially in the english and japanese dubs. An outstanding job!
It's obviously not quite finished, but it's also obviously _nearly done,_ and what's there is amazing.
Nearly done might be a bit optimistic.
Don't get me wrong I love that someone is actually taking the time making this and it is quite fun to play.
But like the animations still need a ton of work since Fem Joker is basically glitching into everything in the overworld as soon as she needs to use a different pose (Not talking about palaces/mementos).
Also the slinks/romances are not changed yet will be in the future though and is still called male most of the time.
Since most of the story isn't changed yet
I think having a femc should be an option in every game
this game didn't have one because it was too much work apparently.They did want one and had a bunch of concept art for one.
Sumire was supposed to be one afaik before they scrapped it early on
@@dirtydirtsgt4751 Really? I read in one of Soejima's earlier interviews that unlike other P5 characters he designed her as a 'normal' heroine. Heroine, as in among the female main protagonists i.e. Ann.
Although I haven’t read the Royal Art book, so did they state it there? Or another interview?
Actually since p3p they wanted to add one in 4 and 5 but both were scrapped. It makes sense though, persona 2 had a female protagonist, eventually 3, would have been nice to keep that going

The bathhouse change is so impressive. I think I saw nanako back there, maybe thats just a used asset. Also the voice acting. Dude whoever did it had to voice every single line, which if they did??? Thats insane. Definitly downloading this mod.
I think my favorite part is the little rose on her Phantom Thief attire. It’s the little things that I love so much

I'm impressed by the level of detail. I assumed at first it was just going to be a model swap, but you've got voice lines, menu images, and an all out attack image and more. Very cool
This looks great, would love if we could get a romance mod for some of the male confidants to go with this
I was reading about this mod, and iirc it currently allows for four male romance options and four female romance options. I think the men were Ryuji, Yusuke, Akechi, and Mishima, and the women were Ann, Tae, Hifumi, and... um, I don't remember who the forth one was. Not Sumi or Makoto, but beyond that I don't remember. But yeah, guy and girl romance options!

I think in the palace Kamoshida makes a remark about Fem Joker when he's calling for the guards to tighten security.

It's a cool idea and definitely impressive but obviously needs a bit more refining. The hair in particular feels very tacked on, it's definitely needs to look more natural.

My nonserious headcanon was that the newspaper club girl in Shujin was the would-be female Joker, she would stumble on Shido misdeeds in a similar way although the response of the Shujin teachers/ students would be different (the "bad kid" already attending the school instead of transferring)
Glad to know I wasn’t the only one. Though part of me thinks a newspaper club member would have made a better version of Ohya
The outfit and body looks perfect. I think the only thing that I'm not too keen on is the hair by the face as well as the glasses. I think if the glasses were replaced by some different glasses and perhaps if the forehead was shown a smidge more as well as the hair being a bit different. It'd be a really solid mod. Though the progress so far is great. The Phantom Thief outfit I wish was a bit more unique though

I’m really excited about this mod! I really like the design and dedication put into this mod. I also cosplay fem joker and this makes me really happy to see this :)
Talk about a passion, yet odd project. I'm quite impressed at the work being made here; from creating the model, to her clothes, animations incorporating said animations to the menu as well, and finally, seamlessly incorporating it to the game. Nice work!
Bonus points for a new VA to go with the immersion, must've been a time consuming project to make.
The Mod is really good and I love the Voice Actor, however, I do think the Mod needs some extra work. The UI on the HUD shows Male Joker and some of the voicelines haven't been changed. For example, when jumping across the gap.

Honestly would not be that hard for Atlus to do. Give people the option of choosing Male or Female like in P3P, unlike p3p dont make their personalities different, have the VAs record two sets of lines when needed one with "him" and one with "her", and make them both Bi so all relationship options are open to both of them.

see the thing is they are 2 completely different people who will have different personalities from small things like gender and i get what you mean by them not being different ppl but they are. Which is why p3p was like that because you get a whole new prepective with femc.

I just want to point out, the two giant things came from the idea of fem joker. 1 - It would be possible to have both a male and female option in Persona(noted by how Fire Emblem is kinda of a competitor and has that as well as P3P) and 2 - You know...
So cool, I always wished they had added this on in P5R similarly to how P3P did something similar in their re-release of the game onto the PSP but alas it was not meant to be so I am glad this exists. Probably use it in a playthrough.
If ATLUS created a female route on this game and the original, it’ll be great to have another female protagonist like in Persona 3 Portable. I wish there was a female mod in Persona 4. Anyways, I like this mod.
Sadly it would be extra work to remake the anime cutscenes and the voice acting and I prefer having a third semester in P5 Royal than the vanilla game with a female route, but I would be glad if P6 protag was female for a change and not just as a bonus like FEMC. Even if you count Maya female protagonists are still a minority.

Atlus had said multiple times that they will never do a female route again, it takes too much time, money and wasted resources, while the FEMC is famous, her route is not, back when P3 portable released, nobody played her route so atlus decided to just erase that from future games. Also, there is a rumor that not even in the supposed new P3 remake FEMC will not be included, so yeah we can start erasing all hope for a FEMC in future personas, they dont want to make a female route and they will never do a game with a female protagonist

@@3823100 I need a link to an interview that has them *specifically* says this. Because not long after P5R Atlus literally released a Soul Hackers sequel with a female protagonist (and a voiced one as well!) without a male hero option.
Seems to me like paraphrasing one of the earlier interviews where Hashino was asked why there didn’t exist a heroine option and he answered basically this.

I really like this mod, the only thing that trouble me is the voice, i mean, the voice actress did a great job but i feel something off about it, like it lacks of that thing that make Xander voice unique
The mod is great the amounto of effort is amazing. However, I wish that joker looked more like a female version of him. He just looks like he has a wig on him. I wish the hair and facial features looked a bit different. Nonetheless this is an amazing mod.

... welp, guess I'm going to have to buy this game a third time (on PC) so I can use this mod when it's finished.
The waking animations look a little stiff in the real world, but this a WIP. So I can't wait to see how this mod improves!

Those menu expressions make me blush not going to lie.
This mod looks very interesting. Surely femJoker will have many dialogue changes. Like Kamoshida who could target her given her.... particular interests. Not to mention scenes with other villains, such as Shido or interesting moments in the plot, such as a vacation in Hawaii, where femJoker will have to share a room with girls and not with boys. Finally, it will be interesting to see how the mod handles romance. Will there be only males or given the possibility there will also be some female romance, like Kasumi or Ann? Personally a romance with the gun shop owner would be interesting (perhaps in parallel with Takemi's romance)
According to the FAQ on the site, the romance options will be: 4 male (Ryuji, Yusuke, Mishima, Akechi) and 4 female (Haru, Hifumi, Takemi, Ann).

This is an incredibly impressive mod, i near lost it when the menus popped up. Fine attention to detail!
Only things I'd mention other than the AOA portrait when it comes to fine-tuning things is to maybe change the pronouns for her, but that might be a tall order to request. That said, solid work!
Last time I checked the mod page they were actively finding obscure parts of the game to fix the pronouns
