- After nearly 21 years on the air, the longest-running anchor on a national TV morning show has signed off the air.. Robin Meade along with castmates Bob Van Dillen, Jennifer Westhoven, Shyann Malone, Susan Hendricks, Elizabeth Prann, Melissa Knowles, Coy Wire, Andy Scholes and the team who work behind the scenes all said goodbye to viewers of Morning Express on Monday, December 5, 2022.

Robin Meade and the entire Morning Express team I watched every morning through the roughest years of my life and it's actually devastating to not be able to watch the "SUNSHINE" 🌞😎 every morning now. If this was LIVE on RUclips every morning I would be faithfully tuned in. So sad to see it go.
I will miss Robin. Her energy and enthusiasm always comes right through the TV. She is just how you want to start your day.
I have been waking up to Robin and crew for almost 20 years and can't imagine mornings without her. I am heartbroken. What a shock for her staff and their families. And right before the holidays! This definitely puts CNN at the bottom of my watch list.
cnn deserves to be on the bottom of everyone's watchlist. They don't report all the news - they suppress much.

I told people about this show all the time. It was quite possibly the only objective news program left. Someone that could tell you the news without inserting their opinion or having an hour-long roundtable discussion about it. I hope someone with deep pockets can pick this up because on a larger network, this team rivals anyone. I love you guys.

Robin inserted her left leaning opinion quite often. Because, overall, I like her, I overlooked it.

Channel was dying by a thousand issues for 17 years. You may not remember but it was nearly sold off twice in 2011 but the two companies failed to have a good bid and deals called off. Its lucky to have been around 40 years.

Robin is such a class act! Going to miss all of them…what a great show! I wish the show would have been picked up, I cannot imagine something trying to replace this show. Thank you all for everything you gave us! Good luck to everyone in front and behind the cameras.

@@red05srt It's just CNN's morning show. Which in November changed crews. In all honesty they should just end that and run something else like a movie or scripted show if there is no more live news. That's already on the sister network what is currently on.

They took them off the air to be replaced with by hard news. No thank you, I won’t be watching this channel again.
This really hurts!! I'm going to miss Robin so so much. I was glad I got to go on the "Morning Express" tour one time to meet Robin. True was an absolute honor for me. TV will never be the same like this EVER again. Part of my childhood is now gone as well.

The decision by the CNN boss to get rid of HLN and Robin, was short sighted. She is beloved. I don't want "Hard News" everyday. When I needed to believe is humanity and us again, I turned on Robin. I'm going to miss that beautiful smile in the morning. Thanks for your work Robin, we appreciated it.
They just put a team in place to fix CNN and cut the budget. The main channel's woes and bad management at HLN lead to this. Robin was told years ago to move to New York City and do the show there and she refused. Secondly she was supposed to merge into CNN as HLN was going to be sold off but she refused. Previous management and owners kept it going but slowly everything was cut on HLN. This was the last show left. New management ended it. Unfortunately for us.
@@alanvallazza9781 I remember when I had cable and would watch HLN, they were constantly getting rid of their shows piecemeal. They always replaced them with Court Tv crime shows. I knew that this was probably coming to the Morning Express as well, unfortunately. It's too bad.

I started watching Robin many years ago (wow! She hasn't aged a DAY!!!), and hearing that her show was being canceled was a total shock! What the heck, Mr. Licht?? Why not move her to the regular CNN?? She will be SO missed!!!
This might be a little over the top, but I literally didn't sleep all night because a) I was so upset that Monday would be Robin & team's last day, and b) I didn't want to miss the last episode at 6am on the dot. This is such an unfair move by CNN - yes I understand that their parent needed to find "savings" and conduct "budget cuts", but THIS is where you go to find savings? You gut the most respectable, unbiased, well balanced and enjoyable program on CNN or HLN? Unbelievable.

So very sad to see the show end. This has been my morning show everyday for years and I am truly going to miss watching every morning. I'm devastated that it is ending.
You all are fantastic and I miss HLN Morning News already. Now I have Fox 5 News on the weekdays and NBC News on the weekends.
Every day since 9/11, my TV is tuned to the news. Muted with closed captioning on so I know if we are being attacked again. Robin, Jenn, Bob, Coy, Hines, Andy and Melissa all became part of my of my mornings and my life. Thank you for reporting the news without spin, and caring, kind, considerate and respectful of me - the viewer/consumer. I can't wait to see (and hear) what Robin and the crew have in store for us. I miss y'all already.
I’m gonna miss these guys, I didn’t know this was happening till now. I tuned in to watch this morning and I was wondering why forensic files was on instead. This is so sad. 😔

@@rachelsill79 Yes and I have watched that channel for years. Robin mentioned this happening on the last day. I had it pre-record in case I miss a day and on the last day I had errands to run. The following day I tune in and I am like, what is this.. than I watched the pre-recorded episode and heard everything. It’s crazy and the last thing I wanna watch first thing in the morning is hard news and now it’s hard news. So sadly I will not be tuning in anymore. 😕
SO sad to see them go....This was always the FIRST thing I would tune into in the morning....Will miss them VERY much!

Heartbroken. Just a couple days ago I woke up and switched on HLN only to find Morning Express replaced. I didn't know this was happening and feel gutted.
Was a big part of my life since elementary school and will be dearly missed. Thanks to all the people who made this show possible and brighten the beginnings of countless days these long years. May you all find joy and success from here on. 🧡

I was on your show in a round about way about 6 or 7 years when a local refinery caught fire and you used my pictures & videos.
I started watching Morning Express with my mom when I was in middle school-I’m 30 now and I’ve been watching ever since! Thank you Robin Jen Bob, the whole team, for making my mornings sweeter! ❤️
I guess the morning show with Robin has been on nearly 20 years. 2003 began as Robin & Company but in 06 with lots of changes at HLN, one of several format changes and firing/schedule tweaks, her show became renamed as Morning Express. The HLN moniker began in 2008. Before that channel was Headline News or HN. Weekends began in 2010. Before that wasn't called Weekend Express. Robin, herself, joined HLN in 2001 around the 9/11 attacks but was not on air when they happened. Not sure if she anchored the day or not. But she was just hired and in her first week.
My mornings won't be the same without Robin Meade.

I will really miss Robin and her reporting style. I can’t imagine watching any other morning show for news of the day. She lifts you up and just makes you feel good. I hope the new management at CNN (which has made some great changes, except this) finds a gig for her.
It just goes to show: It doesn't matter how loyal you are, how talented you are, how beautiful, or how much effort you put into a good product, these corporations and companies will cut you at the drop of a hat. Keep building for yourselves, kids. It's the only way forward.

oh man, I'm so bummed. I haven't had cable in years so I have not had the opportunity to watch her. BUT I used to wake up every morning to her and her sunny disposition was such a nice way to start the day.

I'm DEVASTATED by this!! This came out of no where!! Morning Express with Robin Meade is the reason why I started watching the news over 20yrs ago back in my junior year in college. Waking up to this diverse group of anchors has always been a part of my morning routine. And Bob Dylan is freaking hilarious and needs to be a comedian lol. Will seriously miss this show and thank you all for the huge impact you've had on my life and so many others!
Thank you so much for so many years Robin. I began watching when I was on Active Duty and the shoe became part of my routine. Your straight delivery, upbeat attitude, and kindness combined with your legendary tagline "good morning sunshine" makes this bittersweet. I loved your salute to soldiers which recognized military families and veterans daily.
To CNN, I stopped watching the network over a decade ago and started getting my news from CBC, BBC, France 24, Black Star Network, and PBS Newshour for national news. This decision to end the show will save you money in the short term but further damage the brand in the long term because of the balanced approach to news by Morning Express.
HLN was the best. The news was delivered in an unbiased fashion, it was an oasis of information in a desert of polarized news sources. Robin's respect for the troops, Bob's deadpan weather humor, and Jennifer's great stories on finance, economy and many other topics was always top notch. I also enjoyed the fun sports reports with Coy. I've been watching HLN for 20 years, not every day, but most. CNN is making a huge mistake. This team should have been promoted to replace the CNN morning show, not the other way around. I sincerely believe that another outlet/network is going to scoop this team up and we will see them soon.

I think that CNN has made a major mistake by canceling this show and letting go of all this talent. Sad. I hope to see them all together again in another morning show very soon.
so i havent had cable in a while and here i am clicking on HLN to see robin meade and friends i kept saying wait a min they still on break until i google when will robin meade be back from break to only find out this show has not been on since dec 5 now im crying i loved watching this news channel thank you for all the years and love you show us there no other like you all I pray for whatever comes your way be sucessful. Holy Crap! I've been freaking out and panicking. Wondering what happened and where did it go. This show helped me get over the stress, depression and anxieties of the trump horror show that was on display on all the other morning shows. Already missing it!
Robin is a local person for me -- she grew up in a town a few miles north of mine and graduated from my hometown university. She also is a former Miss Ohio. Our area has always been very proud of Robin and her success. Best wishes in her next endeavor!

This was the best morning show without too much political op/eds, and mostly news. It was light and a great way to start your day. What did they replace it with? Crime shows? Definitely not a bright a way to start one's day. So much for HLN!

In a time when news channels are often devisive and polarizing, Morning Express with Robin Meade was the one show that made everyone's day better....a bright, cheery smile and beautiful soul. She will be missed. This was not a good decision

This is so typical of corporations. Why do they always deliver this horrible news just before Christmas? Talk about bah humbugs. We are going to miss this wonderful group of people. It was such a pleasure to tune in each morning to actually "hear" the news - not like other stations (i.e., CBS, NBC, ABC) which talk over each other - trying to get the last word in. We hope they all end up on a news show together. Good luck - we'll miss you!

I just found out they so very unfairly canceled this show! I taped and watched this show every single morning! I truly hope you all get picked up by another news organization very soon! Morning Express came on about midnight in my time zone so when I couldn't sleep, I would turn it on and watch and fall asleep to it. I'm going to MISS IT a LOT!
