@@kitano0 It didn't matter what Robin was talking about. She could make bad news palatable. All Robin had to do was shout, "MORNING SUNSHINE" and everything was OK. Jennifer did a great job on business news.

Yes! I really miss seeing Robin Meade in the morning. I could always count on her, good morning sunshine to brighten my day! Jennifer Westhoven and Robin reported on greyhound chittering (or chattering) that I had shared with them from a greyhound friend. It was so adorable & helped highlight this amazing dog breed as pets 💜🐾💜🐾

I miss Morning Express. You can always count on getting JUST the news of the day. No political rhetoric, no pandering, no bias, just the news. I always thought Robin and Jennifer were both smokin' hot. Robin had the former beauty queen, above average attractiveness and Jennifer had that everyday woman, hot mom next door quality to her.

My husband loved her so much! I gave him a “Hall Pass” but ONLY for Robin Meade! 😂 She brightened our home every morning 365! This is sweet. He met her husband accidentally with a former boss (my husband was Director of Engineering) and they ‘ahem somehow got on the subject of Robin. I think it was his former boss trying to set him up as a joke but luckily he was very polite in speaking about her instead of saying something overtly sexual to HER HUSBAND’S FACE! 😳 Not long after he received a personalized autographed photo from her thanking him for watching! Oh sweeeeeet! ❤️

But even before Robin's morning show was axed, HLN was dying. (And still is) The network stopped doing Head Line News, a long time ago. Now, it's just regurgitated crime stories.

(And still is)" Part of what happened is that smartphone technology overtook the news consumer habits of cable TV news viewing habits of the late 1980s, the 1990s and the post-1990s to the point where the format of Headline News network was rapidly becoming something like the cable network version of a landline touchtone or rotary dial telephone or a public street, coin inserted pay phone, no?
@@gregpaspatis9425 advanced technology was killing the format and CNN establishing a clear political bias alienated half of the viewing audience was a final straw. I really like the whole cast of that show as Bob Van Dillen & Jennifer Westhoven also brought a lot of personality to the show.

I first started watching that morning news program by accident when I was trying to connect my new computer TV tuner card to my cable set top box sometime in 2005. I found myself watching the show again and again and again. always feeling upbeat and very positive thanks to Robin Meade's smile and personality which was very inspiring but not over the top which is what made her watchable. She never seemed to be trying. She was just genuinely a positive force.
Then my work schedule changed and wasn't able to watch the show like I did before. Years passed and it wasn't until June of 2021 when I learned I would be layed off of a job I had been at for 11 year that my schedule changed. I casually surfed past HLN one morning when I saw a glimpse of someone familiar. I went back and saw it was good ol' Robin Meade. I was shocked she was still doing the show and that she looked exactly the same!! It was kind of surreal for a much older me watching something I remembered from years ago but was current but showed no signs of aging. I was convinced it was a rerun but news networks don't do reruns!!
So after I accepted this woman was ageless I saw the show a few more times until I got hired at another job. Now we come to the current date when I scroll past this video and was curious what she's up to and now see she has left the show as of 2022. It's moments like these that you casually realize how much something like a news anchor had such a positive effect on you; when they're gone. She was special and very very much a person anyone would warmly welcome onto their TV to bring positive vibes. Congrats for all her hard work. Her time off with her family is much deserved and may it continue bringing added joy to her life.
