      Amanda Crago don’t mind the people below - THEY talk too much - and way too much unnecessary (and unwanted) side-commentary. Who, I bet have never made or uploaded a video in their life for that matter. And if so - doubt it was anything even slightly helpful or useful to anyone or others - as you did right here with all the helpful tips and techniques in this tutorial you so graciously showed and shared with us all!... especially when you did not have to at all!
      So don’t mind those two or so talking all that unnecessary jibberish. I think you did an awesome job! Especially for your first video! I would’ve never guessed it was your first! Especially since you seemed to have the angle of the birds-eye-view point down perfectly!
      Again - sorry for those with the negative comments - and please don’t pay any attention to those. Because you are doing an awesome job (!!!) and I hope you do not let any of it discourage you from making any more videos!...
      and on that note - I hope you do exactly JUST THAT ..... keep on making more videos! Thanks again for your SUPER HELPFUL tutorial + jam-packed with many useful tips and techniques! I learned plenty of new things - and I just wanted you to know I am extremely grateful for you taking the long hard working hours and effort and much love you put into this video and most importantly having the confidence and courage to choosing to upload in order to share with the world . Many out there cannot - like myself - and I wish I had the confidence and charisma that you have to finally upload one myself someday soon. Hahaha sad but true. So keep it up! Look forward to checking out your future uploads- as im officially subscribed! Take care! ♥️
      (Ps- sorry for super lonnnnng comment! Just made me feel some type of way when I scrolled down and saw those two comments - and was so surprised when I saw that you said it was your FIRST video!
      So I just had to at least let you know - and make sure to let you know that many of us appreciative of this video and it has helped out! - tremendously! Don’t be discouraged !!!!! Keep it up !!! 👍🏽)
      With love ❤️ from Seattle

    if you have a really large piece, how do you keep it from curling over on top of itself?

  • @yuanyeo9681
    @yuanyeo9681 Год назад +1

    If you're making BIGGER charms; how to make a acrylic-made picture stays a little larger, instead of 'shrinking' it?

    • @bowerbirdjewelleryuk
      @bowerbirdjewelleryuk  Год назад +1

      You can’t really keep shrink plastic larger or the same size, because it’s specially stretched, so once you heat it, it goes back to its original size.
      You could always make your image larger, ensuring you factor in the size it will end up.

    Could I use a blow dryer?

    • @bowerbirdjewelleryuk
      @bowerbirdjewelleryuk  Год назад

      Not really, as they force too much air onto the shrink plastic and it can blow away. You can shrink it in an oven - the temperature and instructions are usually on the packet of shrink plastic!

    can I use shrink paper?

    • @bowerbirdjewelleryuk
      @bowerbirdjewelleryuk  7 месяцев назад

      I think so, though I haven’t heard of shrink paper before. On a little research it might be the new term used due to change of manufacturing. I’ve used Grafix shrink film before and that is good quality.

    What hear gun do you use?

    • @bowerbirdjewelleryuk
      @bowerbirdjewelleryuk  3 года назад +1

      Hi! I use a two setting straight heat gun, they have a good directional heat! the higher or second setting is good for shrink plastic, but don’t forget to use a tool to hold your shrink plastic, otherwise it’ll blow away! I can’t remember the brand name of my first heat gun, but I’ve recently bought a Wow embossing heat tool and that’s great!

    hi if you had to print which side you would

    • @bowerbirdjewelleryuk
      @bowerbirdjewelleryuk  5 лет назад

      If you’re printing probably the matte or dull side! If you have Staz-on ink then you can stamp onto the shiny side!

    • @nikhatskhan6886
      @nikhatskhan6886 5 лет назад

      @@bowerbirdjewelleryuk thanks Dull side bleeds and stazon or permanent marker only works.

    how to you hold on to make it straight to make a name tag.

    • @bowerbirdjewelleryuk
      @bowerbirdjewelleryuk  5 лет назад +2

      Nikhat S Khan yes the matte does bleed a bit! You can use fine sandpaper and sand the shiny side a little on the diagonal. To stamp straight, I use a stamping platform which you can use magnets to hold the shrink plastic in place, then add the stamp on the hinged lid!

    Can I shrink a plastic doll?

    • @bowerbirdjewelleryuk
      @bowerbirdjewelleryuk  Год назад

      Hello! I don’t think so, no. Dolls are probably made with a different kind of plastic, so would melt and possibly catch fire! So best not to try it because of the fire hazard and possibly fumes which would be hazardous to breathe in.
