Not being much of a videographer I wasn't aware of the Transport Canada weight-limit on drones: valuable to know that before purchasing. After watching this I'm inspired to come up with a project that justifies buying one. Thanks for the straightforward and humourous review.
I found your page few days ago. Due to a lack of inspiration / motivation, I stopped flying mine for weeks now (with what's been going on). I'm flying it again now, thanks to you!

I've been watching a lot of Videos on RUclips because I'm doing my research on the Dji mavic mini. And so far it not only meets all the things I'm looking for in a entry level semi/pro drone It far exceeds the needs I'm seeking. Its cost effective.. its small... its light .. It's got a very capable video as well as Still camera. It has good battery life. And the gimble is a big upgrade to previous models of the gimble Its hard to beat.. I think impossible to beat for the money.. instagram, Facebook and RUclips as well as weddings and real estate inspections and showings. Camping trips fishing trips traveling vacation videos small productions, documentaries. Wildlife video and photos. Cool action sequences at offroad stuff and etc..etc..etc.. it's a no brainer that this is the best deal dji offers especially for the fly more package deal. It makes me feel like 007 on a secret spy mission with one of "Q"s gadgets...for the queens service.. Although that's just a fantasy. I'm American. Anyways great video thanks for helping me make up my mind to pull the trigger... This is the drone for me.
Very good promotional video. You could be an excellent salesperson. If I were to find such a sales person in a store, I would go home with more purchases than planned. And I also feel good about it when I return home with my new purchases. Nice and well-made video. 🎬🎥👌😉👍
Thx. I had been debating to get the Mini or not since I already own Mavic 2 Pro. I was using the Mavic 2 to fly in Hong Kong and the shots and video are amazing with this Mavic 2. But when I moved back to Vancouver I knew the local drone law and need to obtain a basic license to fly the Mavic 2. I’ve got grounded for the whole year since I didn’t write the exam. Now this Mini will reignite my interest again !

That whole transport Canada tangent had me very excited. The biggest turn off when it comes to drones has always been the red tape... Now my wheels are spinning. Great video. -Joel

I will, confident, not over confident.... yesterday I had a trial by strong wind; I lost connection with the drone, the altitud -height- for returning home was set very high because of buildings and antennas..... The mini had very strong winds as it was when lost connection at which point, it started RTH which meant climbing altitude==more wind. It was being swept away, but the climbing in altitud made it reconnect.... so I lowered it and returned home. (over a river and buildings.... 😱) Stressful, but fun. I wonder if the Air2 that I am aiming for could handle this situations better (it indicates could reach 10Km ==6+ miles and higher speed)... or maybe the Pro2 (but in the pro range, I am definitively will wait for the Mavic Pro 3) or getting crazy, an inspiron... nahh too much. I need range! to fly the city during this quarantine. There is a cool Delta from parrot that can be flown through 4G celular network. also FPV..... that will certainly give me range.... but maybe police or militia will feel threatened by the mysterious delta "patrolling"
GREAT VIDEO! I had just about decided to get the Mini to add to my youtube arsenal on my other channel (still pretty small) but then the Air released and i started to question everything. Thanks for the reminder of the salient points! I think it comes down to what are you trying to do and what will the signature assets of each drone help you accomplish?
Thank you! Exactly, not everyone needs an Inspire 2 or Mavic Pro 2 for what they do. The Air 2 looks awesome, DJI is on fire right now. It is nice to have so many options!
great video. can you please tell me the min height for the Mavic Mini to use active track? as I am a one man show, I would need some low follow me shots. Thank you
Thanks Armin. Sadly there is no active track on the Mavic Mini and it won't do the follow me like other DJI drones. There are some Quickshots like orbit etc. but not quite the same. If the follow feature is important I would look at a different model, probably the Air 2.
Super Creative maybe when I start getting more expletive with flying I will get an advanced licence. But how were you able to fly downtown if you don’t have an advanced license. Isn’t it restricted?

I am kind of concerned about wind gusts and this mini..... but I' am getting confident about it, it can hands it well....
Be careful of high winds, they can carry the mini away! It can definitely handle a bit of wind though.
