I flew mine with this booster over 7km away , I was in the woods surrounded by trees, remote blocked by trees, had to climb to maximum 500m to keep connected to Mavic, however if there is direct unobstructed line of sight it’s ok to fly low. Anyway this booster is like buying insurance because you will at least know where your drone is it will be connected and if you loose connection remote will reconnect you as long as you are pointing antenna extender I the direction of the drone. I did this in an area that is not regulated by FAA and is not a control airspace. Outside of USA. In a wooded farm area.
Hello. I am from Russia and literally just today I flew a Mavic 2 with the exact same amplifier from this company, an interesting coincidence. So I also flew 8 km, but at an altitude of 85 meters, although I flew outside the city, in nature. Thanks to the developers and manufacturers of this device.
I can confirm this is true, if you have unobstructed direct line of sight, to the drone you can fly low altitude 8km away. In my example I had trees all around me and had to go to 500m altitude to keep remote connected at 7km away
Beautiful aerial video and peaceful music - very relaxing to watch and appreciate the power of this antenna. Did you use the standard batteries or the extra mAh ones?
The battery life on these kits are appalling. I was literally observing the Battery status and it was counting down like every 30 seconds 😅. You can't really enjoy nor risk flying out too far without the battery running out. It is however understanding that these DJI drones have a smart function that can calculate the needed distance to call back home (return to the starting position before battery runs out) Whether this has been tested and risked by owners however is yet unknown and still to be confirmed.

How did you know yours was working properly? I couldn’t tell any difference where I was flying but was near a fly zone

Interesting but insane. Why would you want to push the battery to exhaustion particularly in a residential area.

How did u know how far u could go one way? Did you do half and then just had a friend around that area?
