    Thank you! You're the MAN! I could not see anything way out of whack - but just cleaned the solder connections with alcohol and the AM/FM came back to life. Thanks for your help

      @@VoltageDropDiagnostics actually no - worked for a day or two - retried - worked for another day - retried a third time and used too much heat - bummer - but a good effort - thanks for the info. I've installed a new radio.

    Have a 1991 Jeep Cherokee Laredo with a factory Jeep 56002467(1991) AM/FM Cassette Player and just swapped out the tape modules in two 2467 cases. Now I have me some rocking tunes. Now what I want to know is what is the cause of either the left or right channel going out on a 2467 and on a 56009004(1992) the volume knob is maxed out but I need just a little bit more volume.

    why is everyone trying to go through the top, listen if you turn the radio over, pop off the bottom plate and 4 screws the green board comes out and you are free to work on it, STOP taring the top of the radio apart. work from the bottom you don't even have to pull the cd player out

    I found this video looking to remedy a different problem. Exact same year and radio, but I have through the years gotten worse radio reception to the point that it is now unlistenable. Mostly static. I thought it may be corrosion in my antenna base, and after replacing the antenna base it did look like there was corrosion in it, However I still have terrible reception. Am reception is noticeably better but still not good. Do you have any ideas that may help?

    My wife's 2012 Challenger has the same radio and same problem. What is the heat gun and flux you used? Thanks for the video! Looks like a big help to me and her!

    • @VoltageDropDiagnostics
      @VoltageDropDiagnostics  3 года назад +1

      If you go to my Amazon store in the link in the video description, both the flux and heat gun should be in the store. If not, comment back and I’ll send you a link.

    @voltagedropdiagnostics I don't see the link to the flux and hot air gun on your amazon link. I have tried to fix this twice and it hasn't worked so want to try your methods.

    Nice video , hey I have a question regarding a 1995 Lexus GS300 , I see that when the ac is on and you shift into gear the ac light on the dash starts blinking and the ground that comes from the pcm goes missing, do you think the pcm board needs soldering?

    • @VoltageDropDiagnostics
      @VoltageDropDiagnostics  3 года назад

      No, usually that happens when the PCM doesn’t see the clutch lock up on the compressor.
      Make sure the clutch is spinning

      @@VoltageDropDiagnostics
      Thanks for your reply , the ac clutch spins but once I shift in reverse or drive it stops and the ground goes away at the relay and at the pcm.

    • @VoltageDropDiagnostics
      @VoltageDropDiagnostics  3 года назад

      @@MiguelMartinez-np8uo is there a sensor on the compressor that tells the pcm that it is spinning? Make sure that is working

    Why don't you just remove the bottom board instead of the cd board. Also any links to where you can source the antenna jack mine has broken loose when I removed it from the car dash.
