Curious if you can anser a question? I want to rebuild a 4l60 in a clean clean s10 blazer I bought. its a 2000 I have a 2004 core also from a little blazer But the valve body wiring harnes has a differant part# Reason Id rather use the 04 is fluid doesnt smell burnt but the 00 smells toasted because the elderly man drove it until it just wouldnt. This will stay stock im not a rot hodder

What about the converter leaking around the weld???? If you think the seal is ok

Great question. The TC hub was inspected for grooves and evidence of cracks/porosity (at the weld).

I have encountered an issue lately which I have also encountered before but this time it was ridiculously stubborn it was a 4L 80 transmission mated up to a 6 L LS engine. These engines and transmissions are in a Isuzu NPR gas high suggestion a little bit of heat from a small burns, O-Matic torch, and it was almost to the point to where I was getting fired from my suggestion I’ve always done it, and I’ve always thought that it was one of the quickest and easiest ways versus hammering, chiseling, crying cussing, crying wiggling wobbling kicking put a little heat on it and it just pops right apart. Was I wrong for suggesting that? Also, I don’t have fancy Milwaukee tools in packs to be specific so I loaded up all my air tools my compressor, which is very capable of cranking up the air wrenches. It will pump 90 psi continuously. he immediately told me that I better not use it because not only will it not work it will do more damage using an air wrench to take a vehicle apart. He didn’t fire me. So I quit sure enough I’m not putting up with that shit.
