While the post car is lighter and stronger than the hardtop, the hardtop just looks so much better. Either way, though the craftsmanship is excellent. I love watching metal fabrication being done well.
These guys are professionals, their work work is some of the best I've seen, Beautiful 55 ,thanks for getting another classic back on the road, one of the sharpest cars Chevrolet built.
I hate to think how much it cost to create this magnificent beast. What an impressive car. I love hot rods from the 1950’s! My compliments to the team that built this beauty!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
On the 55 Chevy job, gentleman a job very well done. I am an old motorhead and started turning wrenches back in 62. The art and technique is very much alive in this completion!!
Can't believe it's taken a year and a half for YT to recommend this build to me... Well done guys .. we lovers of the tri from across the pond salute you.. magnificent work.. amazing team!
With all the work, hours, sweat, $, there aren’t enough words or compliments I can give. I can say this because I watched the entire video. All I can say is, you guys do good work!
Awesome job. The 55 has always been my favorite. When I was a little dude the Folks had a 55 wagon, loved that car but it was given to my brother and he sold it. But you did one hell of a job and the music was awesome too!👍👍👍✌️
just hit the lil' Utuber gear for settings at the bottom right & slow the speed to .25 and click 'mute' for sound control … then grab a beer n' sit back to enjoy a perfect build ! Great job guys !
That’s one lovely ‘55. I love everything about it, the paint is gorgeous, the way you got every line on the car perfect. Just everything. The only issue I have is on the production side. The photos were shuffled a bit. One minute we’re watching the man in the final polishing, the next we’re watching them back to bogging the trunk/boot. Anyhow, lovely job. 😊
Amazing, now I know why these things cost so much. The talent, the man hours, the know-how and the extreme attention to detail! 👌 Thank you for posting!
@@metalworksclassicautoresto9583 I'm saving up for my own car to get done by yall I really like the 55 with the LS9 powerd six speed manual transmission yall did. It was awesome X awesome
About 6 years ago when I was 6 me and my papa bought a 55 Chevy that had sat in a barn for 20 years and we rebuilt it and now he going to give me the car
The best part of building your dream car is that 1, you have everything, not only to build it yourself but also to afford to build with all the right equipment, and the ability and knowledge to build it yourself.............
I restored a 57 Chevy and the first thing I tell people you can do it. Have a plan a magic marker sandwich bags boxes log book and a place to store you can have skills either in bodywork engine building ect but restoration is about being organized. It's an adventure and I am happy that i finished it but kind of miss the challenge good luck to all
Edward: The definition of Hot Rodding: hot rod ˈhät ˌräd verb gerund or present participle: hot-rodding 1. drive a hot rod. 2. modify (a vehicle or other device) to make it faster or more powerful.
Beautiful craftsman work. Hats off to all involved in the build. Too bad it will spend most of it's life in a trailer. Wonder what it's like to have too much money.
Wow what a great build. Not sure if I would of cut the dash tho. To me the dash in a original 55 is cooler. Good looking car over all. But the cost of man hours and high dollar frame . Not sure if you can make any money. But you should get more business after this video.
Yes I couldnt agree more...I knew they were gonna fuck up the dash and put "their own version" of the dash in..but everything else is top notch for sure
I was shocked at the amount of bondo but I got over it. I just do not want to know how many manhours it took, start to finish, let alone parts and materials
I totally respect all the work and this project.. I just prefer the old school style with 15 inch wheels, carbureted engine.. just my two cents. Too modern for my taste..but beautiful work, nevertheless.
What does it take to build a car of this caliber. We are all amazed at the crew of metal fabricators and the quality of the build. Just curious what the budget was versus total cost.👍
nice job boys!! alot of fucking work been there done that i made more work by mistakes one of not welding support bars before cutting floor out learn by mistakes you never forget all the work done to correct it fer sure
Only problem with building one of these cars you’ll never get the money back out of it that you put into it .so you better plan on keeping it for a long time or never selling it. Because nowadays there’s so many of them on the road it’s not like they’re a rare car anymore and it’s popularity has made it that way. Still it was very nice build to watch.🛠🇺🇸🛠
Somehow I thought it was gonna be a hardtop. Actually,I'm a tall big man,so a post would work out a tad bit better for me anyway. And less water leaks. No snappy-flappy over glass stainless thingies!
it is no longer a restoring but rather a reconstruction, i love it, amazing

My only problem with the build is the flating of the iconic dash. Other than that, it's a beautiful job.
i agree with you on that that's the only thing i don't like
Same here. I love everything but the dash.

This video reminds me that even though I have worked for 50 years, I still will never be able to afford to build my 57 wagon like this. Awesome.
nothing to it but to do it !!

Los felicito, excelente trabajo! Saludos desde Argentina
Sergio Antonini y yo también los felicito por semejante labor de reconstrucción, desde Medellín, Colombia
Wow nice build! Except the dash. That's part of what makes a 55. The VHX Dakota digital would look WAY better.

It's just a skim coat, not much there, besides with that much welding and manhandling, there's no way around it.
