- This time on SPPTV Rob continues working on the Nova's Powerglide transmission. Leaks are bad in all cases but particularly dangerous when dealing with drag racing. Last episode Rob built a transmission fluid catch can, and in this episode a transmission seal kit is put in. Hopefully eliminating any leaks or potential leaks in the future.

I have a powerglide trans for my 5.3 and when I move the torque converter around the insides rattle a little. I flushed it out using gas and a air hose gun. Do you think it would be alright and would it be alright to just get the car on the road and then have a good converter built after I put the turbo on it?
Any help from RUclipsrs would be appreciated?????

On the bench, you can get some leftover laminate flooring and glue that down to your ply with a few dabs of PL400. Lasrs a while and is replaceable.

Don't do plywood man,,,,go to a home remodel place of some kind,,,and ask to see the scratch and dent section,,,or anything marked down,,, put kitchen countertops on it,,,you can cut the back splash off of it and move it closer to the front edge if needed...🤓🤘🍺🍕

I hope it dont leak but in case it does use 3m yellow glue from any auto parts store there the speedo cable gose learn that from a tranny builder on yt Precision Transmission ! Get that nova back on the road Rob!
