Josh you were spot on when you did your pulse of the program bit about Oklahoma. The fans firmly believe they have the right guy and there's nothing you can do to tell us differently and yesterday the entire country got to see why we were so confident. He just does things the right way....and he chooses violence. And so far this year, sheer physicality has been a major factor in why they're 6-0. They have a bye week to help up and then they go on a very easy tear through the second half of the conference schedule.

This year I thought UT had an edge but I wasn't sure. OU is 100% bought in and that sort of focus is unusual. BV has got everyone bought in and pulling the same direction, very impressive. Oh, and OU WHIPPED UT physically up front on both sides of the ball. Even i didn't see that coming.

In case anyone cares, I do, this is how the Red River Rivalry began. OK & Tx were in a dispute over Red River ownership, the boundary between OK & Tx. The Supreme court decided in Oklahoma's favor in the 1930's. The then Ok Governor, Wild Alfalfa Bill Murray, had sat at a 30 Cal machine gun over the new Red River bridge dispute, not allowing Texas Rangers access to the south end of the bridge. This was the birth of a rivalry between two of the most stubborn states & their stubborn citizens. Our great tribal citizens will stop any activity to cheer on the Sooners. Many clubs, youth sports orgs, churches, etc. have clauses in their bylaws not allowing meetings or games during OU/Tx games. I met a person who moved to Ok about 6 months before the OU/Tx game who came to watch the game and put a hole in one of his home walls over OU losing to Tx last year. To Okies, Texas likes to treat us like a bag of Hillbillies, and Okies, being a feisty bag of Hillbillies, we like to make every event, big or small, with Texas, a rivalry match. Most Okies love Texans, have family members there, etc., but the rivalry doesn't respect family lines. BOOMER - SOONER!!!!

I gotta pushback on the mistake free part. That’s something I’m hearing from basically every national media person, like we played a near perfect game and Texas just made too many mistakes when in reality we left about 17 points on the field, most of them from self-inflicted special teams errors. Don’t get me wrong, I love all the love we’re finally getting lol but I just feel like a lot of people are talking like Texas should’ve won

Would love to see a rematch between these two with an undefeated OU, but here is why I don’t think it will happen. Texas star TE limped into the game, high ankle sprain a week earlier vs Kansas, Texas jr center Majors hurt during 1st series, the backup center Cole Hutson was already out, so Texas played with the 3rd string center Conner Robertson who is a RS Freshman and underwent shoulder surgery last year. I won’t even go into the injuries at safety and rb, Texas is deep which is why they were still up with just over a minute in this game and they dominated the 4th quarter. Now OU, they played their hearts out, props to them, they deserved to win. Unfortunately is not every week you play your arch rival who embarrassed you 49-0 a year ago. So they were motivated, mad, now for two weeks people will tell them how great they are, Pate has them as a CFP contender and the reality of it is, I don’t think they are CFP good. Top it off in the 2nd half they lost their best WR who tore his acl and lost a G likely for the year. Billy Bowman was knocked out by Xavier Worthy. I could see ou losing to UCF, but if not I am 99% sure Kansas takes them out. Texas expects to be fully healthy at the center sport after the bye, and expect to get Sanders, Baxter, and Catalon back to 100 in 3-4 week. Barring any other critical injuries, Texas will win out, let’s see if OU can get there.

Josh, I don't see Texas being in the Big 12 chip. I see one or two losses on the schedule. They beat a Bama team that was still trying to figure it out. They faced back to back to back backup QB's. They were tied with Wyoming with one of those said backup QB's at home 10-10 going into the 4th quarter. I'm having a hard time believing they're going to be unblemished besides this loss going into championship weekend. OU's schedule wont' be easy either with BYU at the tail end of the season, plus Kansas on the road now as a ranked opponent.

If things fall a certain way during the season and Texas wins out and beats a undefeated Top 4 Oklahoma in the Big 12 conference championship. Do 12-1 Texas and 12-1 Oklahoma both get in? TCU was able to slide in last year at 12-1 with there only loss coming in the conference championship.
