The thing I like about Rick Owens is his honesty. In an industry full of pompous arrogance, it's refreshing to hear someone who isn't trying to impress us with a canned PR pitch. He seems very real. To me, the whole celebrity thing seems so old, not to mention predictable. The only people who are impressed with "which celebrity wore what" are people who read the gossip rags. Those people don't buy luxury fashion anyway.
he has respect for his work and thus costumer. And i so agree with the self pitty idea. I'm very proud of this man, take things for the moment and spread the brand if it works, off course, the banking is unpredictable now. cheers
great interview and very inspiring but WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THAT CAMERAGUY. just set the damn thing on a tripod and let it be, theres no need to zoom in on his face all the time
@SoberGeorge You're so right. I don't think I've ever heard a full interview with him but I'm so glad I finally did. It's obvious that he just really loves his work and isn't into any of the BS that surrounds it.
@BOOLsheet dude have you ever owned or even touched a RO leather jacket? Not to make Rick some kind of all-knowing divine fashion-God, but its not just a leather jacket. Compared to so many other leathers out there his are such marvellous pieces
