JS KASHIMA passes Tower Bridge on 9th September 2024 at the end of it's stay in London. JS KASHIMA is a training ship of the Japanese Maritime Self Defence Force (JMSDF). It is the flagship of the JMSDF fleet. As it passes under Tower Bridge, the ship's band can be heard playing "Hey Jude".
Yes - I agree. The best chance that most people have to sail under Tower Bridge when it is open is to book a trip on the paddle steamer Waverley which is visiting later this month. Waverley offers day trips on the Thames and Tower Bridge has to open to let it sail under. However, Waverley is only in London for about 2 weeks. Apart from that, unless you are able to afford to sail on one of the cruise ships that sail under Tower Bridge, it can be quite difficult.

It must be quite amazing sailing under the Tower Bridge when it is open. It is not an experience many persons will live.
