I've been a huuuge fan of the folding Razel since way before even Nick Shabazz's review. Carried it to work [Edit: framing] houses and everywhere else. 1st one got stolen, bought another. Got a Compact Razel when that came out, gave it to a buddy. This thing I had to buy three of at once from BHQ (after I returned the first one) to find one with nearly-symmetrical blade grinds and a detent that could be tweaked to flip without wobbly play. It bit me too once; imo that blade is a design flaw on a knife this small. It looks cool, but I agree it's one to keep in a drawer, not to carry.
I gotta say that that is the most impressive video I've ever seen I don't think any other person accept my man MC could talk for 19 minutes and 17 seconds about the crkt razel
Love mine! It bit me twice in the first few days, but I adapted and we are in good terms now. I like to choke up into the sharpening choil area to get a 4 finger grip. Great 5th pocket knife
Got my Razelcliffe little more then six months ago. It didn't open that well so I decided to take it apart to see if I could I could improve the action I had some problems getting it apart but I eventually got it apart, I found a Teflon washer in addition to the IKBS on one side I contacted CRKT I sent the disassembled knife back to them, in about a month they sent me a Razelcliffe that I easily disassembled there was no Teflon washer just IKBS it had decent action. I've been using it since then, at this time it has side to side and up and down blade play and you need to give it some wrist to open it with the flipper tab. I'm thinking of sending it back but I don't know if it's worth even with all of its flaws I still use it for scraping and other utility tasks.
My old man keeps telling me he wants a knife with essentially this exact blade shape and has no clue this thing exists....I sense a father's day gift Quick edit: The end made me laugh! 😂
Bought a Rat 1 a year or two ago for $18.00 in AUS 8. Razor sharp with stropping. It’s the knife I never worry about. Would be great to see a knife like this about 3.25” for around $25-30. This one just seems little too small.
Yah. I don't really like knives that cut on deployment. Especially when simply holding it. This one requires special attention. Call it high maintenance.
The Pro-tech Malibu bites if you aren't careful as well. The tip is so close to the end of the handle that if you brace the knife too far into your hand when you're closing it, the blade will bite your palm on its way back into the handle.
meh: steel frame lock, el cheapo blade steel, ass-isted opener and why no Graham style clip ?! so...i go with my Graham midtechs..yes, they are much more expensive, but make much more fun

I wish other companies could do a razel design, I want one that's in the 150$ price range
Ooh if drop did a collab razel that would be awesome
When you put that up next to the Ontario rat 1 and 2, it actually surprised me. That knife just looks like it would be bigger than that.

Love the finish....and the price! Thanks MC, have a great week!👋
I see you, Mimo! Hope YOU have a great week!
Wow, it looks a lot smaller than it did in the photos (lol...) but I think I need one???

0.5" shorter than the squid even... wow. Maybe a usable finger choil on this though?
You might be better off with the CJRB Maileah, same blade profile no chisel and easy on the palms.
Love my Maileah! It's a great second or third carry.
I have a simple question have the Ontario Rat models been upgraded?
Yes. D2
That knife looks related to the CRKT Squid.
Ray-zul-cliff =
Razor + chisel + warncliffe
Nice description, didn’t realize that was what the name meant..
Troof
True dat
This really should've been a front flipper due to that blade shape
I think the large gap makes it easier to close to blade, if it was closer I’d think I’d be stiffer to close?
The relief cut is what determines that. The width of the lockbar might have a TINY impact on tension, but nothing major
M Tech has a knife shaped like a grenade that's cool and the blade is in those dimensions
A guy at my work carries only this.
Me: has like 2k worth of knives in rotation
Compact and capable
Like my ex..
Safety first?
As usual.......great review!!!......
Thanks. Be careful, knife safety starts at home. Have the same thing happen with some benchmades and the Malibus 🤷♂️. I think it’s my fat hands.
That looks like it a good EDC for a trade
its an interesting one for sure
Until today I thought this knife was assisted 😳
I really think that crkt should have their knives worst blade steel D2.

Heck yeah

I was never all that impressed with the Malibu. I have had two of them and flipped them both.

Assisted?
@@scottmurdock1393 not ? does not make it much better
I should sell my Razel GMT for 19 of these.
First!
