Banks have the ability to stop this madness, by simply not loaning 100 plus percent of the value of these trucks. Thankfully, it appears some banks and credit unions have finally said enough, and not a moment to soon. When I bought my F-150 XLT high package in August,2019, it was 36,990 out the door. 2025 F-150 XLT high package trucks, are nearly 70,000 MSRP. That is insane. I don't blame people who don't need trucks or SUV''s for not buying them.
Hey Jason, if the cheaper vehicle purchase trend grows, you know what will happen, the manufacturers will kick up the prices up in a hurry. They are greedy as we have learned. Be safe and enjoy your vacation
I've got a 2019 Corolla and a 2016 RAM. I get the urge for a new vehicle every now and then but the prices are INSANE. Count me out. I can drive these two for a long time.
I’d like the Chevy Trax, but it has a wet belt turbo charger and direct injection. If you don’t plan on trading the car back in later, it’s a time bomb.
@dominica2765 it will go 100k easy. That's all I need it to do as I will not longer own any new vehicle beyond 80k. Then it's not my concern. Manufacturers made this world, I'm just playing in it. But I get to set my own rules
I know how you do your vehicles I watch your videos all the time this was about me. It wasn’t about you. I like that vehicle but that’s why I wouldn’t buy it. Sometimes it is not about me or you. Thanks for the video. Have a blessed day.🙏🥾
80k bucks is alot to pay.even with 50 free recalls..maybe they should have a RECALL sale.a rebate of 1500$ for every recall issued on your vehicle.that would help move unsellable inventory piling up everywhere.so far ford has 51 recalls in 2024.so that would be 76,500$ in factory rebates.not a bad deal for what ford wants 80k for.id let it set at the dealer & wait for the next recall.because you know damn well its just a matter of time.
I agree with everything you’re saying but articles looking back to 2018 aren’t exactly delving into the depths of historical data. You need to go back a lot farther than that.

Manufacturers can charge whatever they like in MSRPs, selling them at those prices is another matter.
Prices are up and build quality is down. The math adds up.
When they started making loans for 5yrs or more, that's when vehicles became too expensive for the average guy.

They are definitely greedy
Jason, enjoy your vacation! Thank you, for all your great advice. 😊

Keep the oil changed...this engine has been around for a few years and no major issues have been noted.
Be safe and have a wonderful time Jason, Watch out for Bigfooty
@@ellsbyr7855 thanks
I believe you might b on to something here but it will take the manufacturer years to “ Wake” up, good luck on the hunting trip!

Too much technology in new cars and trucks

Pessimist = Things can't get any worse. Optimist = Oh yes they can.
