I was one of the first to get a Watchman Implantation in Germany .18 years ago. I had big problems with Blood thinners. After getting the Implantation.I had to report to back to the hospital every month for 12 months.A doctor controlled through my mouth with a camera to see if the Watchman was setting properly. 12 months later, the head doctor controlled.Told me all was perfect . Send me home .Said i should take 1.baby aspirin 80mg and 5 mg Bisoprolol. ( beta nlocker) For the rest of my life. 20 years later i am nearing 75 years. NOT ONE SINGLE PROBLEM. Thanking the Almighty and the wonderful work of the German doctors.❤
The Watchman works (alternatively there is the Amulet, does the same thing). This is a poorly done video. I have had it for five years. Very simple procedure to implant, and no more Eliquis!
When at the doctor for annual check up I asked him about "watchman". He said that my wife and I were canadates for it. (We both are on Eliquist) He made the statement that if we fell and hit the head and caused a brain bleed there was no pill to cure. We both are in late 80's . Had the implant 4 months ago and no problems. (off the Eliquist and on Plavix for 2 more months)

Oh no! I looked into this and the doctor did NOT suggest it because if blood clots (formed from NOT taking thinner) move and end up in the "Filter" they themselves can cause starvation of blood to the heart, lungs or brain. Hence a stroke or heart attack. I will stay on thinner for sure!
@@Usefulmusic there's are several different types of ablations, but its a procedure where they go into a blood vessel in your groin or neck up into your heart with a tiny device that finds the defective cells that cause the electrical issues in the heart that lead to arrhythmia, and they either freeze them, or burn them to death. the lack of the malfunctioning electrical signals cause your heart to function much much better. this coupled with good lifestyle changes can make many people never have afib again.

@@johnwadd8412there are blood thinners(like Warferen?) and anticoagulants ( like Eloquis and Advil). We lump them together as blood thinners. Hope you aren’t too upset over our generalization. 😂
@@TDHofstetter don’t know what happened to my comment but here it is again. Warfarin is a rat poison. It works by thinning the blood and the rat bleeds to death internally. It also is used in small amounts for humans. Warfarin leaves big ugly bruises on arms and body easily because it thins the blood. That is the advantage of Eloquis. I am 90 years old and have been on blood thinners for 25 years and other than an occasional cut bleeding have found it trouble free

how long does that device last? can it be dislodged from the heart and cause issues?
Forever. No.

It prevents a braininfarct: using it will give you 5 times lesser chance of this against a normal healthy non user.
Do not stop!
There’s other, better alternatives. Look into serepeptides.
Everything you said is wrong.
WOW that is Fantastic 👌
Why not just an ablation?

Can we please stop using the term "blood thinner"? Please?

The term should be anticoagulant
