Nioh is a brutally difficult and unforgiving game. But Matt has some advice to help you get through the game without dying... much. Subscribe to GameSpot! ruclips.net/user/Gam...
11. Dont be lazy to use veriety of weapons 12. Dont panic 13. Dont be greedy 14. Dont forget to eat & drink coffee for your concentration, the enemy's moveset sometimes suprising that you cant fast enough to react.. 15. Dont forget to sleep when you feel sleepy. 16. If you want to throw your controller, make sure its landing at soft thing, like bed..
Best tip for the whole game is to take your time and carefully watch your opponent (no hack/slash frenzy). Take the time early game to get familiar with stances and controlling ki. The rest will fall into place
@@jairocastro4022 Yes once you get good. . . . .you don't get good by hacking and slashing once you start the game. Caution is always better in these types of games
This. After playing games like Darksiders and Reckoning, people will have the tendency to rush and impatiently try to kill the enemy, which leads to failure time and again.
exstra tip: buy the dodge ki pulse, pressing x to dodge backwards and ki pulse is much easier then timing the R1 after a combo when you can be open to an enemy counter attack
Extra extra tip: change your stance after a ki pulse to recover more ki (you need to get the skill first, but it's one that pretty much everyone gets). I use the Kusarigama. High stance is almost like using a long range weapon, and the low stance is just insane. My favourite combo is high stance against far away enemies>key pulse>low stance>crazy whirlwind attack with square.
LJJ r. lol its all bout learning to play the game. same goes for dark souls and bloodborne. those games are unforgiving, so it requires you to adapt and play smart.
The game IS hared to learn that any Souls game. The bosses are also hared but the basic enemies are easier to defeat. Or you can just summon a co-op partner.
Nioh gives you a Million more possibilities to become OP than dark souls After Leaving the weak stadium nioh gets easier when youre able to do good builds
You forgot 1 pretty major begginer tip they don't walk you through in the game. If you manage to get any 2 elemental effects on any enemy (even bosses) it will instantly drain their ki and make it so that they are unable to recharge it for as long as they have those 2 elements on them..... omnyo mages builds are pretty overtuned right now.
Yeah, except Yokai ki meter has no meaning whatsoever, since they can keep fighting without ki indefinitely..except when they actually fall down from it, which is less than 50% of the time. I don't get why Yokai have a ki meter..or why its effect is so inconsistent.
Surprised no one has mentioned that if you do a successful deflect/parry -- your Ki insta-fills. I learned that when beating on a yokai and deflecting an arrow from another. I was out of Ki but that arrow deflection regened my ki & I regained footing. If you're in a tight jam & can remember your Sekiro training, than you'll get out alive.
One minor kinda niche tip: If you fall from a high ledge that isn’t an instant kill, press X right before hitting the ground to reduce damage taken or potentially save your life

For the Ki Pulse, I learned if watching the effect is too hard you can watch your Ki under your health, the moment the blue bar takes over the red, your pulse is ready.

Thank you all for your response! It all has been noted and I think that I have decided to go through Nioh first because of the Onimusha memories that I have when I was a lot younger and I have been missing that kind of gameplay, setting, and combat for many years now.

I'm really surprised how people talk about bloodborne being so good but this is under their radar. This game to me is up there with bloodborne (slightly better imo) I don't get why this doesn't get as much attention. The combat did something no other game has done which I think is the best part about the game, but dont get it wrong, the game has so much more to offer.

Get both. Each of them has their own flair and style (Bloodborne with its Gothic Lovecraftian Horror and Nioh with its more Japanese elements). It's just a matter of which one you want to play first.
Idriss Bah BLOODBORNE is a masterpiece , I would say play that first you can pick it up cheap now and by the time your done with it , Nioh will be cheaper as well . Save yourself some money's ...
both are good, bloodborne is cheeper right now. you could pick it up for around 15-20 USD. so if you got like 75-80 usd, you could get both.
Buy them all Dark souls 2-3 Bloodborne GOTYE and Nioh
I would not really recommend buying Dark Souls 2, 3 I do recommend getting. The problem with two is that there are better games out there. You should get it only if you are a super Souls fan.
Almost finishing it with only low stance dual swords xD
Tip1 : use sloth talisman
Protect ya neck!
The game's amazing until you reach a boss and after you beat it , it becomes fun again.
take notes polygon
you should call this nioh for dummies cause man you really helped me out alot
second souls like game and i’m loving it so far but there’s no lie when i say sometimes your just doing it wrong from what the dev intended
To anyone looking for more Souls like games. Look into Wings of Vi. Cheap game on Steam that is criminally underrated and an absolute masterpiece.
You're wrong it's mostly onmyo-jutsu which debuffs enemies, not ninjutsu.
I kill the enemies
But if they are strong
Run away until I find a place to save
And run back to be out to the Boss
I try to finish the stages quickly
☻
Oh you will certainly fucking die no matter what...ok this how not to die in nioh don't buy the game.
Good one ahaha
Got this game free on ps plus, Then I bought it for $19 to support it, it’s really fun!
that one boss in the ship is so fucking hard
I just beat lvl 330 Hundred Eyes again and my character was like lvl 170. I didn't even beat the NG2 final boss, yet I cleared the NG3 one
KODAMA ARE AND I QUOTE "NOT GODS NOR YOKAI"
You figure it out as you go. Dying is part of the game. It does get frustrating.
why does some footage look extremely smooth
Action mode
I'm playing on action mode too but it doesnt look that good
@@niko-pp same

Soo, are you done?
After I'm done with level 2, Nioh 3 will be out already , lol

1:13 this one gave me a heart attack.
I LOVE THIS GAME
I don't know if i can be arsed to learn all these ..
Thanks
I'm really surprised how people talk about bloodborne being so good but this is under their radar. This game to me is up there with bloodborne (slightly better imo) I don't get why this doesn't get as much attention. The combat did something no other game has done which I think is the best part about the game, but dont get it wrong, the game has so much more to offer.
Thanks a lot
That was a great help......
This Game is Very Hard....but very addictive!
I love it!!
Whater are the small demons called?
I might be super late but does all of this Apply to Nioh 2
Is the little green kodama the only way to increase your elixir amount?
Tip #11: Sloth Magic.
To me the restore ki & change stance is L1 I changed the controller buttons to a more bloodborne layout style fits very well! 😊 just gitting gud bought the game yesterday!
Example first boss apply attack debuff and health debuff and literly 4 clean combos or a full stamana bar attack will kill anything him. Enjoy then main menu
best tip...Praise the sun \[T]/
Can you add 2 elements (example: lightning+wind) on the same weapon? Or would one override the other? Haven't made one yet but it I can, will it work?
N.a.
Ps plus November squad wya
#1 tip just use the wooden sword its op
Ive been playing this game for 10 hours now and I just beat only the third boss lol
all I hear is like dark souls... so are we pretending onimusha didn't happened?
Agreed. I think this game resembles Onimusha series more than Dark Souls. For one thing, this game is NOT doom and gloom like Dark Soul and its gameplay and AI interaction was more toward Onimusha.
Japanese Geralt of Rivia? jk
He is Irish, for some reason.
resident grigo william was the first brit who became Samurai , they made him irish because irishs have a better connection to supernaturals like your spirit
Glad to Come across this, will be a good change from all the dumbed down mechanics of games these days.
Fuck this game is hard
