BIG GEORGE George Coleman (* 8. März 1935 in Memphis, Tennessee) has been my friend and idol for many years. In the 70s and 80s we`ve been hanging out together, sharing many experiences. He will probably remember club owner of the "Domicile" drunkard Ernst Knauf always demanding Billy Strayhorn`s "Lush Life"
Spike ! ..You ,Peter,Joe and George are all great ,and and thank you for this link , I get to see smalls without the usual 4 cam setup, and you all sound excellent
My girlfriend and I was at the gig, and I take my hat off to you Spike, Your a better person than I would of been, I felt extremely bad for you as a jazz musician myself to be subject to that treatment. I love George Coleman but there was a better way, he could of took you to the side away from all the people, I commend you for hanging in there and I'm a little disappointed in Joe Farnsworth for the looks he was giving you, no one needs that on the band stand, but if your cool with it what can I say, I wasn't cool with it!
Great camera work!! Love the shots of the bass master Peter Washington. He always plays such beautiful solos.
Happy 89 Birthday, Master!
George is so great and underaprreciated

Bullshit. Just Enjoy the show guy
Musik hält jung.
✌ 🎷🗿
What’s wrong with Coleman’s low notes? Is it the horn or his breathe support? Well he’s elderly now
Last of the great tenor men
