In this video, I will show you how I build a tool stand for my bandsaw and improve my workshop organization by incorporating drawers for saw blade storage. Like always, I like to mount casters so I can move my tools around the shop as needed. The base has a total of 12 drawers
5 of the drawers are a bit larger to fit bandsaw blades. Six drawers are thinner for storing regular saw blades. The top drawer is a standard drawer mounted on drawer slides.

I love how you show that you don't need to spend big bucks on fancy drawer slides!
Great video. Now come over and make one for me 😜😊
Fantastic result using a simple approach and something that all woodworkers could build.
great built.My next project,
What a great idea. Great job
Thank you!
Great video! Finally, one of very few creators still willing to provide & post a real how to build video. Not worried about YT & and its analytics/algorithm information. Its great to watch a video with information, how to, woodworking, etc., rather than tips & tricks, tools you need, tool reviews, etc! Thanks for taking the time. Great video, as always.
Thank You!!!!
A really unique cabinet for your blade storage and band saw. Nicely built and presented. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome idea! I never would have thought of using hardboard in this way. Excellent video and your effort to make this accessible to any level of skill.
I appreciate this build, I bought my first bandsaw on Black Friday (Rikon 10”) and I need a base for it as mine I guess is technically a bench top style so it didn’t come with its own! I’ve never owned one so I was looking for a bandsaw base build because I’m not sure what kind of accessories I’ll need to store down the road or how to properly store bandsaw blades, etc. With a drill press or mitre saw I know what to expect, what kind of accessories and storage I’ll need for it but not a bandsaw so this was helpful and honestly I can’t find much on bandsaw storage or carts/bases so it’s been frustrating but I finally discovered you had a video on this so thank you for sharing
Nice one! Very helpful 👍

Where did you get that orange push stick?
I printed it on my 3d printer
I find it odd that you go all out and use a respirator but don't even have a riving knife on the table saw.
Some tablesaws like my powermatic 66 didn't come with a riving knife
I bought this saw used a few years back. This saw might be as old as me. The fence is relatively new but otherwise it’s an old workhorse. Not sure if they were even sold with a knife back then.
@@ArtisanMade love my 5hp powermatic 66.
@@ArtisanMade FYI, I'm not one of those people who jump on everybody for any reason. I'm just concerned about your safety and showing viewers a more dangerous way to use a table saw.
There are some fairly unintelligent people out there.
I had an old $25 table saw that didn't have a knife either so I bolted a straight piece of steel inline with the blade to hopefully prevent kickback. It worked "ok" until I got my new DeWalt 7491.
Take care, best wishes.
Yes, you are the only person that has a problem determining where to store saw blades. Sharpen them after each use, oil them, wrap in air-tight plastic, and hang them on a wall - five minutes and problem solved. There is no need for obsessive-compulsive shop storage fanaticism.
This is the most complex and inefficient use of space I have ever seen. Bad storage system. You can not see what is in each drawer. So you have to hunt for the one you want. Only a cabinet maker would think of this.
I hand all my blades on 4" long peg hooks on my pegboard with cardboard spacers between the blades. I organize them by diameter and by tooth count. I can immediately see what blade I want.
That sounds nice if you own an old hardware store. Personally, I like a cleaner looking shop. And it’s not too difficult to take a marker and label each drawer specially, since there’s only about 10 of them.
Your audio is all over the place. And who use's an Erwin Square's? They are so not accurate. I know this is just a blade holder, but your quality of work needs help. And finally, why do you not but Frued Blades which owns Diablo...Diablo blades are Frued's budget blades for the weekend warriors. Dude you need to pick up your game if you want this channel to be successful.
@truth-ox3wz You should work on your grammar! It's easy to criticize someone else's work when you're sitting behind a computer doing nothing. Get a life.
