Unfortunately I don't think so: The final scene is shown after the Ending (so the event takes place after the death of Incarnate Devotion), so it's more of a "spoiler" for a future Blasphemous 3, than one for another DLC.
@@zadkal8873 It could be that they will expand upon this "Master" guy in the subsequent DLC and add another ending (which would be a bit insane, considering how it would depend on another DLC). It's just that imo Blasphemous 3 is not going to be a thing (at least for a while) and we have 0 clue what this Master's deal is (and Asterion's, for that matter. he's just some dude who wants the power of the First Miracle but we got nothing about his motivation or affiliation).
@ feels weaker and they made Blood Pact take much much longer to fill (because they introduced an altarpiece that makes it fill 50% faster if you complete NG+ with one of the penances)
On one hand, Crisanta finally ascends, but on the other, our penance remain and until the last trace of the Higher Will remains, pur crusade will not end.
Actually I don't think so: In Ending C, Penitent One seems to abandon Mea Culpa and his own helmet on a beach, almost to indicate that he has finally been "freed" from his role (he was not seen dying again, but perhaps it is supposed to now live a "normal" life as a reward for his services, and then die when his time comes "naturally"). So it's possible that in Blasphemous 3, another person will inherit his helmet and Mea Culpa, becoming the "new" Penitent One......maybe. Alternatively it could also be as you say: The Penitent One has "perceived" that Incarnate Devotion is not really the last "bullet" fired by the Miracle, to guarantee his return and that of the High Wills and that something else is hiding in the shadow and will be destined to reveal itself in the future (I.E. the corpse in the crystal).....and therefore he has chosen to allow Crisanta to ascend in his place, and to "postpone" his own ascension to Heaven, until the threat and influence of Miracle will not have been completely and definitively neutralized. It's a bit of a strange ending, so it leaves room for multiple interpretations.
@@zadkal8873 The same thing (conceptually) happened in Blasphemous 1 too, TPO died because his penance was over but he was called again by an unknown part of the Miracle described in the ending B item, who is supposedly the one who commands the cherubs who help TPO.
It should be Veteran One and Tempest for sure. Basically anything that boosted damage such as the one that boosts damage at full health. You don't seem to be able to use bile flasks when at full HP so the statue that boosts damage when they're depleted is too much work to have active.
Sorry I know this is a bit late but you should try using the purging silver resonance. That just increases lightning damage even more by a significant extent
Imagine the sequel will be set in modern day, i couldn't imagine that they would add those dominatrix or gimp people as enemies to game. That would be hilarious! 😂
2 questions... Is this NG+ like the previous game? And is it more difficult? Cause i found the base game to be easier than Blasphemous part 1. That time stop ability was OP. I wonder if it got nerfed
I love seeing more Crisanta and seeing her ascend, BUTTT, I still like the ending A more. Because in ending A, our penance was over, we worked hard and it was finally time to relieve ourself. Crisanta’s fate was left mysterious which could’ve led to a sequel. In this ending Crisanta ascends…but she did not go through the trials we went through…she does not even help with the fight against Devotion Incarnate. I think it would be better for her to go through her own trials and tribulation (aka a game of herself) to ascend. And in her trials, she can continue the work of the Penitent One. I don’t know, in my heart this is not the true ending.
For me the hardest part of the DLC is the new mechanic with mea culpa to move forward trough the spikes rest of the game is easy compared to the first One that is still my favorite
@@CrankyTemplar is it me or the cutscenes of the DLC seem worse than the ones in the base game? In terms of quality, i mean. Especially the ending one. Compared to endings A and B, this one seems kind of unpolished to me.
so much convoluted and senseless "lore". the first game made sense and had a good story, this time and with this dlc is all about milking the IP. bunch of convoluted garbage
Oh yeah, there is definitely going to be at least one DLC after this.
Maybe they are working in Blasphemous 3 who knows

they nerfed Ruego Al Alba so horribly it made me incredibly sad 😭 i had replayed the game 5 times and it was always my main weapon
How did they nerf it?

Ok I wasn't tripping, it is slower to fill

Very cool. What alterpieces do you have equipped during asterion 2?

Instead of the Penitent One, we’d get the Kinky One

Practice in every game you play without taking damage.
Definitely not every game but for some like this it's fun to do.
You got this

I haven't tried NG+ myself so I can't really say at the moment.
Definetily Blasphemous One is more harder and hold a special place in my heart
wait on the post credit scene we look on the brother asterion sword is cracking
Does anyone know the location from the Sarmiento and Centella statue? I forgot
It's in the bottom right area of the Embroidery location.

It definitely takes some getting used to. I have a tendency to dash into the thorns instead of teleporting.
@CrankyTemplar same here a LOT.
Sweet..When did they drop a dlc for this I had no idea about it??
It released yesterday. There's some glitches and bugs, like displaying your binding for jump in the center of the screen if it's not space or shift.
Awesome thanks for the info..I was looking for a reason to jump back into this one..
Build Asterion ?
The End??
Credits roll and theme music plays. Until the next DLC.

Crisanta 🥹
Bro's not gonna use the Mea Culpa in the MEA CULPA DLC 😭
I did on the final boss! I'm just rather fond of the rapier especially with the extra lightning damage from not being hit.
So......this is a prequel?
No, this is extra content that fits in with the events of Blasphemous 2.
@CrankyTemplar 👌😎👍

Womp womp. Too convoluted for your feeble mind perhaps. Simpleton.
