I cant' imagine something else than Weil summoning the Eight Judges' souls in Zero 4's ending, coincidentally, Eviterno looks like Weil with his broken helmet.
Honestly that was the moment I personally wanted to throttle the devs. "Hey I know this was already a nightmare and a total endurance test of phase after phase against an enemy that would make the super bosses in most other games weep but here's a brief intermission so you we can fuck you up using all the previous boss's most annoying moves in sequence."
I wouldn't say that the boss sucks but the fact that you have to fight the easy introduction phase before the real fight is completely pointless in my opinion, it simply makes it much harder to learn for nothing. I can understand why they would do this, it's present in lots of big games like hollow knight, sekiro, eldenring but I still absolutely despise this decision. This is also why "worldless" is one of my favorite games: some bosses are difficult but you can retry in seconds, which makes it much less painful.
When Eviretno pulls Crisanta's sword he says her line "my penance is far over" and the music composition is starts using Crisanta's theme motive. It's beautifull.

And frustrating. Second phase is a pain in the ass. I kept sliding thru and finally beat him. Jumping did me no justice. Can’t hit him more than once or twice without getting punished
Honestly i despise that this boss requires you to replay first phase every time you do the fight. Its easy as hell but adds like 2-3 minutes to each encounter. If i'm at best surviving like 10-15 seconds on the second phase because i cant read the enemy attacks at all, adding this arbitrary time waster just to get another 10-15 seconds to try to see whats even happening on screen is incredibly annoying. Like phase 1 on its own is a fun lil warmup and phase 2 on its own is a great intense encounter with a lot to learn that tests your knowledge of the game. One after the other however really just feels like kicking me when I'm down. Too much time between phase 2 fights for real pattern recognition to kick in
I agree -- that first phase gets pretty tedious after a while and you need to do it almost perfectly so that you have a full complement of bile flasks when he goes into Phase II.
Just use the time prayer. Hit him till the fervor is enough and use it again. It literally makes the entire fight in both forms AND the last fight so they literally cannot move. If you’re having trouble.
