I'm gonna spell it out since all videos on this boss are only for showing how well they play instead of helping a standard player out. 1: Upgrade everything you can. The sword gets stronger with each upgrade. It's not only a new move that you receive. 2:Debla of the lights helps when in close. 3: Jump over her ground lightning towards her (not away) and hit 3/4 times and immediately block. Have your riposte at normal speed for longer duration. If she is in guard stance hit once and block. She'll most likely counter. 4: You can block the side to side attack as well as jumping over it. Pick your favorite. I like to block personally. It's not perfect but you'll quickly learn her patterns. It would've helped me to read some tips instead of trying to watch someone just dominate without any instruction as to how, but google kinda sucks with this game.
Crisanta only does magic damage. Just stack magic resist beads, one gives 25% magic resist and the other 35%. Also, there is a bead that gives you 10% resistance to magic, fire, lightning, and toxic damage. All together that's 70% magic resist.
Thank you guys... actual helpful tips! She's too much for me. Kinda isn't fun anymore. I screwed myself by inserting the sword core that can't be removed and my parry time is short. My reflexes suck too. It's gonna be a while...lol
I found that having the Pelican Effigy rosary bead equipped helped me tremendously in this fight. Without it, any time I used a bile flask to heal it basically allowed Crisanta a free hit against me.

@isaiaholat3293 that's fair, I can appreciate that the game is simply programmed that way. I wasn't precise in my choice of words really. What I mean is, the game (or at least this boss fight) should have been made in a way where you need to parry both attacks to not suffer intense damage. Crisanta was maybe the hardest boss in the game and wound up being a crucial ally in the franchise, and it's clear she was meant to be a central character in Blasphemous from the jump, so I personally loved the idea of a sort of religious crusades like in the middle ages boss fight against her, where heresy is the motivation for both the Penitent One & Crisanta for a drag out fight. They seriously nailed it by giving her another phase in the DLC that outshines the final boss, but I felt because she has a sword and so does the player, the theme of dueling against her in a sword fight to open up opportunities to punish Crisanta could possibly be fleshed out some more. Her stance where she's ready to parry your attack is testament to this, and for such a tight mechanic I would have loved a fight that demanded you master that parry that's in your arsenal. You can elongate the time where the parry works but at the cost of other rosary beads that might be more helpful to one's play style, but at the same time not having that longer window of opportunity to parry could save you if you did it too early or during the wrong attack. And none of this is to say that they got this "wrong" because they gave us an incredible fight and it made her so much more bad ass when she shields the Penitient One during the very final fight against Escribar's true form. This is really all just food for thought for those who love this game as I'm sure you do. Sorry for the novel I just wrote, I'm kinda drunk and love gushing about this game lol.
