I’m so encouraged to hear your very authentic personal story about gut health! Thank you for sharing this. I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2018 and during a really brutal flare up (opposite of constipation), I tried a Whole30 which removes grains from the diet and I experienced gut health and mental health changes like never before. But because it’s nearly impossible to live the rest of your life on an elimination diet, I’ve been on a journey since then to figure out the best way to eat for a happy gut. Removing grains has the greatest impact and too much alcohol messes me up as well. I’d love to see a video about a day in your life of grain free eating. More recipes! My family is also obsessed with tacos, I love the jicama wraps from TJ and Siete tortillas as well. Btw, in your ‘day of eating’ video you shared your jslspeno coconut crisp to top salmon and I have to tell you it’s a staple in my house now! Epic good😊
Camille, thank you so much for bravely bringing up this topic. I think this is much more prevalent in our society than anyone knows because it’s embarrassing to talk about and no one wants to go there. I so identify with your gut challenges though mine were bloating and severe diarrhea which is a truly life limiting condition as I feared even leaving the house. Like you, I visited many GI and other doctors over three decades trying to find answers and no one could say why it was happening. Last year, I finally found a doctor who ordered the right tests and could determine the root cause. She placed me on a more restrictive diet called the Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD), and it has turned my world around! Some of the culprits for me are even additives in food which are prevalent in EVERY type of food even when you think there is no way there could be any additives - check the labels, you’ll be surprised. I wish everyone success in their gut health journey!
Oh my I’m so glad I found you on RUclips ….I have been suffering exactly what you are describing Grains have really messed me up and I started this journey to limited food that affects me ! I was diagnosed with IBS many years ago but after several years I know it’s more to it ….. At 65 I know I have to start clean eating and limited the grain ! Thanks for introducing the book and your routine ❤🇨🇦
I found this video to be very helpful and inspiring. I'm going to take some steps to try reducing or eliminating grains altogether to measure the impact on how I feel. I would love to see a "What I Eat in a Day Grain-Free version." Please share!
Thank you so much for all the tips. Even if someone could not be helped by excluding grains, you gave other tips to try that may really help someone. Wishing you the best in your life!❤
Amen. Everyone’s body is different and we have to develop a relationship with our body and learn what works and doesn’t. Lately I’m considering cutting grains more out of diet especially knowing that glyphosate is commonly sprayed on grains. Great video. Thank you for sharing.
For you and any who see this, check out aryuveda! It’s a 5,000 year old holistic medical practice from India that’s heavily focused on digestion. It looks at everyone as an individual, some people can digest grains and some can’t like you say, all based on your personal constitution! Discovering your constitution is actually something you can work out on your own with some research and from there you can see what your body should and shouldn’t be taking in (things like time of day and season affect what we should eat too). Something super beneficial for one constitution might totally block up another! Thanks for sharing your video!
I was meant to hit the button to watch! You are speaking my life! I want to know if you have any more information to share. Your story really touch me because I’ve been living those. problem for years.
Thank you for this! I have experienced great benefits with healing my slow digestion and bloating by eliminating gluten and dairy. You've inspired me to try eliminating all grains and adding back some dairy - see how it goes! I love that you're spreading the message of bio-individuality.....what works for one doesn't mean it works for all. We're all designed so uniquely, keep trying different things until you find what works for you. Quick question - what did you add into your AG-1? I drink AG-1 every day too - I love it and think it's made a huge difference in my overall health.
Report back - I would love to hear if you see additional improvement by eliminating all grains! So happy to hear you’re a fellow AG1 fan. I just add filtered water and ice to mine, then shake it up ❤️
@@bevzimmerman2102 AG - 1 is a powdered, daily supplement that contains vitamins, greens, and pre and probiotics. I’ve been taking it daily for well over a year and have noticed improvements in my overall health and digestion.
If you are only drinking one of those stanly cups a day I can assure you that you are not drinking enough water. A very simple fix to your constipation is to drink enough water. I would bet that if you upped your water intake to three of those a day you will see a lot of improvement.
I would love to see a grain-free What I Eat in a Day video!
Love to hear it! So many delicious, simple recipes I would love to share
