Jamie, please know that this update is truly appreciated. The added pressure of keeping all of us notified on how your precious Sherpa is doing has to be a bit much, to be honest. It is truly appreciated and you handle having to be more than just a worried dad with such grace, mate. 💜 Love and best to you both.
Amen I agree ❤
Exactly what I was thinking, only better than I would have said it.
Beautiful writing ❤ty for putting many’s words to page. ❤🤲🤲🤲❣️
I agree. Beautifully put as well.
Without a mouth full of pain, Sherpa will feel better all over. Thank you for thinking of us, and please know half a million people were all thinking of you too.
Glad hes home and the problems sorted (just rest both of you)stress isnt good for you and sherpa will pick up on it
10 teeth removed
Vet will give him antibiotics and pain pills. He will be fine now that he's home.
You made the right decision Jamie. Get well Sherpa.
So happy for you and your boy. Breathe in, breathe out, move on.
The difference in Jamie's face when Sherpa was under and then how much happier Jamie locked when he's dog was awake
Thank you for getting a news out
Thank god Sherpa is ok I will keep you and Sherpa in my prayers jamie
Sherpa is such a lucky dog to have someone who cares and worries about him this much
Oh thank god he’s ok just take care both of you
@@CharlesMrtlWow, you see this video that Sherpa is ok and start asking why Sherpa had his harness on! They obviously just got home, Jamie let him in the garden and filmed Sherpie roaming and happy to be home. Use your brain and stop being critical!
So happy you are with him during this difficult time. He is lucky to have such a caring and lovely person to love and care for him! All creatures should be so lucky! I’m sure he’ll bounce back and be his beautiful self in no time. Take care of each other🥰 Sending love and hugs from the USA 🇺🇸
@christiandupond mabe to so his dad can help him stand up! He will do anything and everything for Sherpa and we all know it except you
@@CharlesMrtlpossibly because Sherpa bounded through the gate or because the back steps make him struggle into the house and Jamie might be assisting him up the steps?
Animal lovers around the world are Praying for a full recovery for Sherpa. Beautiful the Love you share with Sherpa, Jamie you are a great Dad❤
My stryder had 10 teeth taken out a couple months ago. He doesn’t even notice. He is fine. I’m sure sherpa will be fine. ❤❤❤.
Sherpa will feel *SO* much better. My grandfather had a very ancient Labrador (17 years old when he passed away). That old hound lived the last 4 years of his life with no teeth at all. He was totally happy. Okay, there were no more bones or hard biscuits, but he enjoyed a big variety of meats, foods and treats. He took on a new lease of life when those painful teeth were removed. I genuinely think it extended his life.
It's heartwarming and uplifting to hear a positive story about a dearly beloved pet whose life was most surely prolonged after removing bad teeth.🌹
Indeed!
@@lindakaymills8746 . Everybody kept telling my grandfather to put Nimrod down, but he couldn't do it because.....as limited as he was.....Nimrod got such joy out of life. I remember him creaking along with a happy tail wagging. As long as people walked slowly, he happily meandered along behind, sniffing every avail smell. He passed away in his sleep, in his basket. Just went to sleep one autumn night and didn't wake up. My grandfather would have moved a mountain to keep Nimrod safe and happy.
@snowysnowyriver
That all our fur babies were able to cross over the Rainbow Bridge 🌈 while sleeping peacefully in their beds, like Nimrod. Thanks again for sharing his story.🌺💚🕊
No more pain nor poison in his system.❤
Fellow husky owner here. When I adopted my girl I noticed that she had awfully bad breath. I took her to the Vet and she eventually had to have 8 teeth removed. I now have been brushing her teeth 3 to 5 times a week and she is doing well. No problems eating kibble. So glad Sherpa made it through the surgery.
Agreed. I use an enzymatic toothpaste (poultry flavor) 😊on my dog. He is small breed around 3 1/2 years old, and have had him since 9 weeks old. Even if he did not need it at the time, we were encouraging good habits. I started with finger brushes, and made sure to reach until the last tooth (molar, premolar). To this day we brush once a day and his teeth are beautiful and white
Iam happy to hear Sherpa is doing well. You dont hear to often from me but I am a faithful follower of you and both Sherpa. Love to both you and Sherpa.❤❤
It will be SUCH a BIG difference for Sherpa!! We couldn't know how that cumulatively felt for him. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF, JAMIE!❤❤❤
Oh look at that sleepy boy ! Thank God he’s doing good !
Thank you Father GOD for taking care of Jamie and Sherpa. We pray for a full and speedy recovery. Sending much love to you both. ❤❤
Amen
Phew that's a relief and good to hear thanks for the update. Still got everything crossed and continued 🙏❤.

@@SherpasDayPrayers to you and Sherpa Jamie I have followed you both your years . My heart dropped for a minute I hope he gets well soon. ❤🙏🏻
Hi Jamie thanks for the update.. Sherpa looks good keeping guard around the garden.
James you do look tired. But you must be happy that Sherpa is out of the woods.
Did Sherpa have 10 teeth out.
Bless him and big hugs. Hope you got your pizza.
At Least You took it With a Sense of Humour in A Way
I'm so sorry Jamie and just know we are all here supporting you and poor Sherpy. I don't leave comments very often, but I wanted you to know just how much he means to me. This had to be done and he will feel so much better, once he's all healed up. The goal of every pet parent is to extend our pups lives and that's exactly what you did. I wish I could gjve you a giant hug right now and tons of kisses to Sherpa, but know you both will be in my heart and prayers. Wishing you both love, peace and well wishes. All my best, Anna 🙏♥️
I second your wishing to give Jamie a giant hug and many kisses for Sherpa. What a relief to be able to write happy comments. 🌺🕊
@@lindakaymills8746 Hello Linda! Thanks for the comment sweetheart, it was greatly appreciated. I love watching Jamie and Sherpas bond on YT, it's one of my happy places. 😊 Take care my friend and I'll see ya around. All my best 🙏♥️
@vannaty7
I don't comment very often, either. However, you know how to string words together using proper grammar and spelling, which is sorely lacking in social media (don't get me started!), so I would encourage you to let your voice be heard more. Thank you for your encouragement to Jamie, Sherpa and me! 🥰
P.S. I see you, PKD Warrior! I'm an organ donor.💚🕊
@@lindakaymills8746 Hello Linda! I almost missed this, so I'm so glad I got to see it today. I want to thank you for the compliment! I was blown away by what you said, because one time I had someone say I'm showing my age, by the way I type things out. 😊 It's actually just a habit and I want to make sure "everyone" knows what I'm saying. You made my day with that compliment, so again thank you so much! I hope to see you again one day on Sherpas channel, because you have such a kind heart, something that's missing these days. Take care my friend! Wishing you all my best, Anna 🙏♥️
@vannaty7
Oh, I feel special that you gave me your name, Anna. I see you've included it in your profile name.
The reason I don't comment often is because of the way I choose to communicate. That is, by providing enough details to always be understood. In other words, as you put it, "showing my age," which isn't hard to guess when you look at my sepia-toned profile picture of an approximately 2-3? year old me (Mama couldn't remember how old I was when they had that picture made) to know I am a septuagenarian (70-79). In August, I'll be 78. Adding to my difficulty with writing comments in 10 words or less is the personality trait of perfectionism, where I have high expectations and standards for myself and others, not often appreciated now that I'm retired. You look quite young (and lovely) in your profile picture, even though you said you are showing your age, which usually doesn't mean the same thing to everyone. Age has always been relative to me because I was married and divorced young at 32, with no children. I never remarried, for whatever reasons, so I have no spouse to remind me of my age. I am able to communicate well with my nephew and niece, 50 and 45, quite well. My goodness, I've given you my life history already.
Other than Jamie, who I believe turned 46 in January and who I've known for the past 5+ years, I only have one friend on Sherpa's channel, Debra Justice, and she just turned 70 in April. She and I bonded over facts such as no spouses and no children. She lives in Knoxville, TN, which she has divulged on Sherpa's channel previously. I live in Danville, VA, which is about 45 miles from Greensboro, NC. We communicate by text and email otherwise. She usually posts a comment on here about every day and often adds to other's posts. She's shown herself to be friendly with others who post every day, which is fine with me. She also knows how to write proper sentences with good grammar and spelling, also, which is important to me.
I hope Jamie will give us an update on Sherpa's recovery tomorrow. I've grown to love that pup over the past 5+ years that I've gotten to know him, so I want/need to see him. I satisfy my want for a pet vicariously through Sherpa. I had a gray tabby Emily for 19 years. She was my only companion during that time, so I've been unable to look for another pet.
BTW I'm voting Blue for BidenHarris.
Okay, I'm fighting sleep, so I will sign off for now.
Your friend, Linda.🕊🌺💚
Most terrifying thing I've ever experienced with a pet is having my 14 year old Silky Terrier anesthetized for tooth extraction. Poor little fella was a MESS and recovery from the drugs was BRUTAL for him and me. In the end, his health and well being were VASTLY improved and he had almost 3 more years of comfortable life. It was worth the anxiety and upset to share the extra time.
😢💓🐾💓
Had the same thing with a 16 year old cat, he had a broken canine and some FORLs. He did much better afterwards but it cracked me up that they wanted to put him on medication for a heart murmer!
Mine is 16 they won't touch him. Just lets him suffer with the pain like seriously. I rather him sadly pass getting fixed then suffer all day every day
@@kristycrow9586, not to be rude, but as his buddy it's kinda on you to keep up on maintenance.
@kristycrow9586 you need to go to a different vet urgently, don't be afraid of upsetting your vet, take charge this is your baby, be a momma Lion and protect your cub!Seriously do all you can, even if it's just to get pain medication prescribed, I wish you all the luck xx
My heart was in my throat! 😮 BEYOND THRILLED with the news & outcome Jamie! Thank you for including us, we truly care! 👍🐺🙏😎
My first cat, big strong black farm cat, had tartar on his molars. One visit, his vet just cracked it off with his thumbnail. Then he told me, most cheerfully, "Now you can do this at home!" Tarb looked me right in the eye. I communicated telepathically that he had nothing to worry about. "TRUST ME!" 🐈⬛
He will feel SO much better. This was the best thing you could have done for him.
So glad he is home now. He will probably be groggy and "out of it" another day or two, but once everything heals, he will be good as new.
I wouldn't be surprised if his liver levels improve as well. Infection messes with so much in their and our bodies!
Love you guys. Rest easy both of you.
Perfect point about liver function most likely improving after 'poisonous' teeth being removed.
So So True!!!
Jamie I'm so relieved our baby boy Sherps made it through anesthesia successfully! He will feel much better without the pain from his teeth. Give our boy extra hugs and pampering! Your such a great doggie daddy!❤🐕
He'll feel better for it in the long run. Imagine how uncomfortable he may have been, and not a whine or a wince. He's a hero. Stay strong. Thoughts are with you both
I do not care how many, he has recovered and will heal with your love and all our prayers. ❤
We had to have emergency surgery a couple of years ago on our now 17 1/2 year old doggo. She lived and is going strong now, although she does sleep pretty darn deep these days. I'm so glad that Sherpa will be okay. You are as brave as he is. I know you were incredibly worried. Hang in there. Your boy will be okay and will feel so much better. And that added nail trim...priceless!!! ❤❤
😢 I'm crying now, but it's happy tears. Love you guys ❤❤.

Jamie Thank goodness, I'm so happy your beautiful boy is ok. What a day for you both. He will mend up wonderfully. Love to you both from Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦💗 🐺💗🙏🏼
My pup had ground beef and rice when he had surgery. Doc recommended it and he loved it. Glad Sherpa came out ok out of surgery.
Poor Sherpa! Give him a big cuddle from me!
Knowing how exhausted you must be, both physically, mentally and emotionally...thank you for taking the time to let us know how Sherpa's doing! I had tears in my eyes when you said "he's awake" and literally cried when I saw him on patrol! (yeah, I'm old and emotional). Still sending prayers (and healing vibes) for a quick recovery. Please take some time to take care of your sweet boy and yourself! Sending love from across the Pond! 🐾❤️❤️❤️🐾
Nothing wrong with being either old or emotional!!!! Not everybody can make it to old age! And not everybody has a big heart!

Well said.🌺
I am so happy and relieved that Sherpa has come through the surgery like the champ he is. Dogs have 44 teeth so it they lose some they're fine. My dog Tucker had 14 teeth removed and he was unphased.
Thank you Mr. Jamie, him getting those teeth out will improve his quality of life. Stay Strong, he is tough & will be okay…Rest sweet Boy…💤❤️💤
Everyone who's had a dog (or cat) will recognise that panic when you are waiting for the vet to ring, and not being able to do anything or think of anything. Thanks for telling us how he got on so quickly- hope you BOTH feel a lot better after some rest. (12?)
Yeah have just gone through that with our cat, sadly didn't work out well 😢. But waiting for that call is hell
@@mfinn80 i'm so very sorry for the loss of your good buddy. pls keep remembering how much your love, care and companionship gave your kitty such a wonderful life. sharing your time on earth together is no small thing, no matter how you slice it. honor your memories of all the times you had. losing them can almost make you not able to consider bonding with another animal - but there are so many that would benefit if you do eventually. and you would benefit obviously. my love, my dog Jubilee died 2yrs ago, and as i walked him out the shelters doors i literally thought "ohhhh....i'm so scared of when i lose her". morose, i know, but i was acutely aware of how much we come to depend on them even when first taking her home. she made it to 14. had a few times i thought it was going to end but she kept going. so i considered all the time we had after that as "gravy years". couldn't conceive of not having her at all. i thought i'd have to wait a long time until i would get another dog but i went a little crazy, like a fever acutally, and got a new shelter dog within 2months. i get tear-y when thinking about my Jubi, it's such a tender "hurt", and i know myself to know it won't ever get much better. it's the price we pay for all they bring to us. but it's worth it. sending you my love from California. we are sooooo relieved Sherpa came through a brutal surgery, so very scary. sherp and kyeush on their channel have become important to so many via jaime and jody boo's video's. be gentle with yourself while you adjust to your loss. your kitty would want that for you.
@@mfinn80 Sincere condolences on the loss of your cat. The vids of pet psychic/ medium BRENT ATWATER, might be of interest. She often assists pets/ owners with such "transitions". Wishing solace upon you.

I'm glad Sherpa's ok, and he has a healthy mouth now.
Jamie, my old dog eventually had almost no teeth left but she managed so well and was fit and happy to the end of her days. Try not to worry. Warmest wishes.
I was so scared when I read what happened to Sherpa today. I didn’t want to open it. I love Sherpie so much to.
I don’t care if he has no teeth left as long as he’s ok and pain free. Jamie my heart goes out to you for the anxiety of sitting and waiting. But he’s home where he belongs. With you and us. ❤❤
It’s not weird, we all know they are no less than another member of the family leaving people so stressed.
Poor wee soul
Sherpy's soul is not wee, it's grand. So is Jamie's.
My guess is 10 removed. So glad the good boy Lord Sherpa is recovering at home. Good on you Jamie for taking such wonderful care of him. Blessings to you both.

So good to know he is ok xx
Hopefully now he will be a new boy ,much happier and healthier and you get them nose bleeds checked jamie ❤
Thank you so much Jamie for letting us know how Sherpa got on and that all went well and hes safe at home eating and drinking, it doesn't matter how many teeth Sherpa lost hes still a handsome chappy and he deserves as much garden time as he likes

Best news ever! Sherpa's going to be ok! When he gets to go home, he's going to be allowed to lay in the garden for as long as he wants to!
Back home together where you both belong!
That long waiting period during any surgery can be nerve-racking.
Absolutely the best news ever! Jamie and Sherpa, back home where they both belong!
"..... Woof-Woof!" Which means, "I want Chicken Balls as soon as I heal up from all this!"
Definitely one of the best videos ever!
Dad and dog, back home together enjoying the huge garden! This is when you can feel so good about going through everything that happened with buying the house (and garden).
Keep us all updated on Sherpa's condition and Dad's, too, after all that waiting.
I think that we're all going to be waiting for that first video in a few days of both of you in the garden together where you belong!
My dog had 11 teeth taken out...& it was successful. His breath was no longer stinky either. I adopted him from our local shelter when he was 4. Rusty was a Jack Russell Terrier Cross. He was with me for 7 1/2 years. He lived a great life. I miss him terribly. He passed away in November 2022. 💔😔 Thank you for sharing this video with us. 👍🇨🇦😊
@juliemackenzie1978, may your beloved Rusty be running free in his new life over the Rainbow Bridge. 💔🐶🐾🌈
It hurts so much when they leave us.
Best to have it all done whilst he is under anesthesia. He will feel so much better in the long run. Friends of mine’s two dogs have had all of their teeth removed and once their gums healed they could eat hard treats etc… Such a relief that he is awake. That is the scariest part at any time but especially in older dogs.🙏
I'm gonna guess 11 teeth out. That being said, poor Sherpy - yes you will be sore, but the Vets are giving you pain killers, so that will help. Jamie, I gotta say, a BIG THANK YOU for posting this video, in spite of it being such a stressful day for you. The emotions you're showing - worry, stress, concern, love -YOU TOO, in addition to Sherpy, are in our thoughts and prayers. It is good to see Sherpy post surgery walking about and eating some. I KNOW, Jamie, that you'll take excellent care of our beloved Sherpy. Try and sleep well tonight, worry free.
Beautiful comment! You spoke our hearts, thank you.
@lynnf2799 That was a beautiful support letter to Jamie and I could not have said it all half as well as you just did. We all love Sherpie and Jamie but I am not too good at writing my feelings down. You just did it so well!
Beautiful. Sherpa/ Jamie fans are the best loving 'peeps'.
Great sigh of relief - so wonderful to see Sherpa 'on patrol' once he was back.
That toddler-gate to keep him safe was inspired! Genius!
So glad you are able to take care of Sherpa in this way. We had a little Chihuahua, Gidget, we adopted from our 94 year old neighbor who had passed. Needless to say when we adopted her we discovered her whole mouth was infected, and she had all of her teeth removed except for one. It seemed pretty extreme, but Gidget adjusted quickly and she was much happier living pain free. I'm absolutely sure Sherpa will adjust, and feel much better in the long run. Thanks Jamie for sharing with all of us who have come to love Sherpa and his poppa too.
Hooray!! Our Sherpa is a tough, tough boy. God blessed him and Jamie. I can now release my breath that I have been holding for several days!! ❤ Thanks to you, Jaime. I know you are exhausted. You looked really pooped! It's over and everyone can thank our Higher Power and the amazing people who were there to help Sherps!

That is SO true ! X ❤️🇬🇧
I could see the concern and worry on your face. So glad Sherpa is back home and healing.
Poor Sherpie. Hopefully he will be pain free. ❤❤❤
Even though there's a bunch coming out, this will add to his overall health being better. Thank you so so much for letting us know. I'm very relieved that he's ok.
Totally agree 🙏
So glad Sherpa did well. I know how you feel waiting for your 4 legged child. I went through that several times myself. He looks so tired but he will be much better tomorrow. Soft foods for now and then his usually food will do just fine. Take care of him and yourself.
When you learned that he woke up, your face changed from intense worry to absolute relief. You are so courageous Jamie, to tape yourself when feeling vulnerable. I'm glad you have your biggest worry, resolved.
As long as you soften his food with a little water or diluted goat milk, his gums and teeth will remain healthy after his mouth heals up. And he's going to feel much happier eating without pain. I bet Sherpie belts out a few of his old, "WOOO WOOO's" in a few weeks. I can't wait to see him all chipper.
Chin up, Jaime!!
Thanks for letting us know how sherpa is and what he is having done. He deserves extra chicken and a long sleep on his grass bed. Get well soon sherpa. Twelve teeth out

I think 10 at least pulled especially if the tarter build up was that bad. Trix had cleanings at least every other year and at 16 only needed one pulled. That was a pretty big deal for both of you. hugs. ❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️
Soooo happy Lord Sherpa is doing fine. He’ll be back talking running laying in his yard. U r a good dad Human Jamie I know how much u love him and he loves u. 🐕🦺🧔♂️🏘️
My 7 yo dog lost 11 of her front teeth. After healing about a week you would never know. He will do Awesome. Virtual hugs to you and Sherpa
My Cat 6 years ago had 11 total extractions but was eating her wet food the next day & I was balling my eyes out the day of the extractions! Vet said she had a weak plate on the bottom, had been a stray & perhaps lacked proper calcium. She still has plenty of teeth left at 14 & the Vet says they look great!😳🐾💕💕

Wonderful story, thanks.🌺
Get well soon Sherpa❤....take a deep breath Jamie!!
It’s not weird, it’s just how we doggy mums and dads do. Thinking of you both and sending you lots of love
absolutely. You make plans. what you do is worry about your precious baby boy. Knowing that he went through the worst and that he was in recovery stage just sleeping naturally is a load off your mind and heart and you can finally realize you need fuel to.
The important thing is that Sherpa is well, strong and healthy afterwards. Thank you for letting us know, we wish you and Sherpa the best, Jamie, may God bless and protect you both.
Poor Sherpie! I pray he has a quick recovery and that having those teeth removed will make him feel better🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻 Take care !
Who said you don't think about us? You are the sweetest, most kind caring man on the planet. I'm so relieved! My depressing has been kicking me in the butt the last couple months and I don't think I could live without Sherpa. Bless you both. I love you both so much!!❤💙💙
We all love reading your comments every day xx
@LindaMuir That's so sweet Linda. Bless you xx💞
It was a comment on a unboxing video. Because Jamie hadn't done one in a while the person said he didn't care about us. And you know Jamie his taking it to heart.
Oh Jamie, thanks so much for keeping us pup-dated. I was so happy & relieved to see Sherp's sad face in the van. I'm guessing that he has 13 teeth missing from his charming smile, but I hope it's less than that. You'll sleep well tonight, & you deserve it!

Oh Jamie, I’m so relieved and happy that Sherpa’s surgery is complete and is back home with you and in his beautiful garden and home. Been thinking about you both all day. Thank you, Jamie, for letting us know so quickly. Sherpa has the best Dad and will get the best of care. Way to go, Sherpa, you are loved worldwide. My guess is 10. ❤❤
