@@pilgrimpeace7763 I did exactly that to my Barney (Border Collie) back in 2001. I always think about Barney even though I moved to another property afterwards. The pressure was insane I see this in Jamie. It's a difficult situation to be in. But it will get easier for Jamie all he has to do is keep in contact with us through RUclips etc 🐕👍

Jamie. I hope you read this. You gave Sherpa the best life a dog could ask for, he was cared for, fed well, sheltered, walked everywhere, went anywhere you could take him, got lots of treats, was socialised regularly with humans and dogs, he knew love inside and out because of you. Not a lot of dogs get that much respect, care and love from their owners like Sherpa did. He stayed near you so he could make sure you were ok as much as you did him and if you brought him into your bed that night, you wouldn't have had his last scent on his blanket. It was part of his last gift to you to help you in mourning.

JohnDavis-ed5sg, I agree with your sentiment. Being that humans have been blessed with boundless capacities for empathy, reason, and vocalization, we are supposed to be the "voice of reason" for those loved ones that - by hook or crook - cannot speak for themselves. While some viewers wanted Jamie to carry-on with Sherpa, I'm personally glad that, in the end, he considered Sherpa's quality of life.

As a person with clairvoyant/medium tendencies you are correct. Whenever a person or a fur babies dies they are still around us. They can hear and see us even in spirit. Sherpa will always be with Jaime no matter where he goes. Jaime will sense when Sherpa is around him. Animals accept death and know when it's time to go. In a way they are better than humans to accept death. Sherpa no longer has the problems he had on this earth he is running around free from pain and discomfort. We will miss Sherpa immensely but I know he will always be with Jaime at his side and it brings me comfort to know this.

You may not see him yet, but you will, when you least expect it. It was almost a full year before my best friend showed herself to me. I felt such comfort, knowing she was no longer in pain. That is where Sherpa is now. Pain free, running free, patrolling the garden, chasing the birds from the feeders .....and loving you for all wonderful adventures you both went on.

With tear- filled eyes we watched him suffer and fade away. Although we loved him deeply, we could not make him stay. A Golden heart stopped beating, hard - working hands put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best. " This fits Sherpa. It was the poem I chose for my dad when he passed in 2020.

I so very much understand the weird freedom feeling - suddenly so much you can do but you really don't feel like doing much at all. You're not alone, you won't be alone, we won't let you be alone. 💗

    • @kgrant3184
      @kgrant3184 Месяц назад +6

Yes, exactly! I have been LOOKING for Sherpa in this vid - seeing if I could SEE movement 'in the air", or footprint impacts on the earth/ grass. I am CERTAIN Sherpy is there. He would SO WANT Jamie to acknowledge him, speak to him, try to feel his energy (a kind of fuzzy/ itchy/ buzzing, with warmth), and try to pet him.
The trick to this is to remember his size relative to the surroundings - what was the height of the tops of his ears, his head, his back, the front and ends of his body, where is heart would be, etc. When you touch/ connect with those parts, you will FEEL it.
Then, ask Sherpa (or your dog) to come and sit right close to you, directly in front of you, and raise your hand higher than where his head would be, and slowly bring your hand down, feeling for his body energy. I ask for tingles and sparkly white/ silver light, when I connect with my guy's form. (I don't seem him clearly, just "vibrations in the air", a flash of black, vibrations of movement as he walks by, etc.)
I still offer him first dibs on sampling my food (which I NEVER did - off my own plate, IRL), and I can usually see/ FEEL something.
Jamie & Sherpa went ghost-hunting in haunted places, so he shouldn't be scared. And, connecting with your beloved pet on the other side of the veil, feels SO good. I also ask my guy to give me his scent - it used to happen a lot, but less frequently now. It is a REAL treasure when you smell it.
Also, even though my guy NEVER slept on my bed, after he passed, he began to sleep ON me - I can STILL feel the covers touching my body more where he is, and the warmth of his very slight soul-body weight. He is so warm, that I've even had to kick him off in the heat of the summer!
BRENT ATWATER, animal/ pet psychic & medium, is gifted in seeing and connecting with - AND helping US to connect with, (our) beloved pets after they've passed.
** Always do a spiritual protection (should have said this first) - you only want your pet to come - no trouble-makers. Use the Christ light around you, or other.
Gosh I hope that Jamie - or someone close to him, reads this and passes the info on.
      Cheers!

Imagine the joy it will bring to another. Sherpa would 100% approve I'm sure. Meantime do some small projects to enhance your garden and keep yourself, and us!, entertained. I nursed my sheltie Madl through the last year of her life (age 13)--special homemade menu, carrying her up and down stairs, putting up gates to stop her from falling down stairs, taking her out at 3:00 in the morning to do her business. I worried that I had kept her with me too long, but our vet said, no, Madl had a great summer. When it turned bad, Madl let me know it was her time to go and I know we made the right decision for our little girl. She always slept on my bed and her soft weight beside me is what I missed the most. I know it's not easy to say goodbye, but you did everything you could and more for your precious Sherpa. I know that one day their will be all my dogs and cats greeting me when it is time to go.

Do not hesitate to cry. Do not feel embarrassed or "un-manly." You just lost your Best Friend; your companion; your family. Let out your grief, your pain, your RAGE. After I lost my precious Riley last year I did not want to be in our home. I would go anywhere to avoid having to be there without him. I would walk through malls or on the boardwalk and the tears would race down my face and I did not give a damn if someone saw me. And when i was home every now and then I would just SCREAM. I felt such pain and anger and loneliness and sorrow. I had to release it. Sherpa was ill but he declined very quickly. Like you said, on that day you were not expecting to lose him. His passing was very quick. It was a SHOCK. And now walking around the home you bought for him and shared with him and being all alone among his things is agony. You can smell him and sense him and feel him. One day that will actually be a comfort. But right now that can add to the pain. We are all different but being totally alone is not a very healthy thing when grieving. No matter how many people out here love Sherpa no one loves him like you do. And no one else can fully understand just what you have lost because your connection to him was just between you and him. But I hope you do not give up on some of your routines. It will be good to start new ones but don't give up on all the things you did with your BLESSING. That is your special place; your special thing that you shared with Sherpa. Hold on to it. It will bring you comfort.

Jamie, one thing I noticed with my dogs and cat crossing, is that their visits in spirit form are subtle. You might hear little sounds, the clink of a collar, the sound of toenails on the floor. You might catch a glimpse of them out of the corner of your eye. It's not dead on. I believe Sherpa is with you, he's still patrolling the yard, and he's watching over you. He's crossed over but he is with you too. Their love for us never ends, as ours never ends for them. The laying down of the physical body doesn't change that. We are all with you too!

Ive been re-watching your Sherpa videos from years ago. This channel is all about Sherpa, Jamie, family, besties, adventures, occasional Batdog visits, walking on the moor, road trips with big red, small red, chasing treats, sipping coffee, searching for snow, taking a nap in the garden, licking ice cream, moaning over rain and traffic jam, shouting I love you's, and us loving you two back…that's what it's always been, and that's how I remember it. Thank you so so much for sharing your beautiful journey, Sherpa, Jamie. I have a feeling we all will get to see Sherpa again, sometime, somewhere. If I ever run into him in my dream, I'll make sure to welcome him, give him lots of treats, and tell him; "Your dad is looking, waiting for you, Sherpa!" I promise, Jamie.

I did the same when I lost my female cat to cancer in 2020, and my other cat was left alone, when he'd always been with other cats. I could see it affected him. One day I saw one of those tiny stickers that sometimes sit on clothing tags, and it had the number 12. Twelve days later I saw a Facebook group post about a rescued feral cat that needed a lot of time and patience. I adopted him and in a couple of months he was copmfortable in the home and with my old cat. My oldest cat sadly passed away last year and I only have the one now, but he seems just as happy just having his humans. I will adopt again in the future though.

When my 18 year old dog died I experienced exactly what you are feeling. My dog had 100% of my time to himself, as he needed care when he got sick, we couldn't go on long walks like we used to. After he passed away I also felt like a door had opened. But it was worth every moment I spent taking care of him until the last day. I spent a night with him lying in my bed, I recorded that moment, but I don't even have the courage to see it. I still miss him a lot after 2 years. Yesterday I was watching an old video from 2 years ago of Sherpa, he was so happy on the beach, so full of life. Every time I see videos of him I also cry, He was so friendly with the humans.❤😢
