I used olay complete every day from high school until I was around 30. Lately I’ve been trying different things to see what else is out there, but I really love that one!
You got me hooked on the Drmtlgy sunscreen. I just wish they would stop increasing the price. It used to be $19 and now it’s $25, and at 1.7 oz of product I run through it like crazy. Think I’ll give some of these a try :)
Olay Complete is my holy grail sunscreen that I have been wearing for decades. As Dr Dray has said the best sunscreen is the one you’ll wear and this is the one that I never have to force myself to apply. It’s a nice sunscreen and a really great moisturizer for me.
I’ve been using skin aqua since 2019 and I really love it! besides the fact that it’s fragrance free, has a hyaluronic acid, licorice extract, panthenol, its also really affordable here in Asia. Thank you for sharing your favorite sunscreen dr dray! happy friday :)
I love the cvs clear zinc spf 50. It kinda smells like paint and a bit thick to spread but it is one of the only sunscreens that does not irritate my eyes.
Jack black sunguard has been my holy grail for the past four years, I live in Hawaii and it’s a great daily sunscreen. Even compared to the Korean and Japanese sunscreens, especially since you get 4oz for $20. It’s crazy that it’s not more popular
I have sensitive skin so have not tried hybrid sunscreens, but I’ve been very happy with Colorscience Sunforgettable (which I first learned about from you), and Elta MD Elements. Both are great and neither one causes irritation to skin or eyes. I tried the Sleep and Glow pillow, too, but it wasn’t comfortable for me, with or without the extra pad. Disclaimer: I had a C5-6 cervical fusion several years ago and have had a horrible time finding a comfortable pillow. My husband LOVES the Sleep and Glow, though.
Elta MD UV clear is the only reason I wear sunscreen, cuz up until I found it every other sunscreen irritated my skin. I do layer a light toner, emulsion , serum and cerave lotion underneath.
@Andrea, I recently heard some of the “mature beauty” RUclipsrs I follow admit that they don’t wear sunscreen and that they “don’t believe” that the sun is really so bad and also that they “believe” we need it for vitamin D production. (To my knowledge none of these women are doctors of any kind - the one who I know is a nurse always wears sunscreen). I was really shocked. I actually thanked my mom the other day for forcing me to wear sunscreen as a child and she just complimented me for inheriting her good skin. I’d love to hear you interact with some of these people or “react” to them. Thanks in advance!!
This video came LITERALLY just in time I am in Walgreens looking for a spf moisturizer right now and I was like omg let me see if dr dray has anything to say about this and you did!! Thanks so much! Since I already use cerave moisturizer I’m gonna pick up the cerave spf one hope it doesn’t irritate loll
The EltaMD UV Clear was the first sunscreen that got me to wear sunscreen everyday. Its good! But too expensive for my budget and I found it pilled horribly with reapplication. Black Girl Sunscreen just launched their hybrid sunscreen! I picked it up at my last Target run, was so excited to see it in stock and can't wait to try! It does contain lavender oil so not too thrilled about that but my skin doesn't seem sensitive toward fragrance so I'm willing to give it a go; BGS has always been a win for me! Obsessed with their Kids sunscreen!
I love black girl sunscreen. It feels like a light moisturizer instead of sunscreen. And it never stings my sensitive skin and eyes. It might be my favorite of all.

It is my go to when I'm out and about, but I also use it every day when I go to the office just around my eyes. Great post: Just ordered my first two sunscreens from yesstyle that you have recommended. Wanted to let you know that the Pyunkang Yul Moisture Cream is fabulous on combination skin that is more dry this time of year. I have also tried their Intensive Repair Cream and it’s excellent. I ordered the mini Moisture Serum and I love that, too. At 59yo living in SE Houston my skin is bringing more normal to dry. The I’m from Honey Lip Balm is also a new favorite. These products are great. Love the ease of ordering from yesstyle. Thank 🌷You SO much for your recommendations and the daily posts and shorts. You are a jewel~a gem - what more can I say…
You made me try Drmtlg and I love it. Their tinted sunscreen is to yellow on me but the regular one is perfect (little cast that doesn't bother me). Also, based on your recommendation I tried skin aqua...it's fantastic.
I agree on the brand DRMTGLY, I've purchased their night moisturizer & vitamin c serum, & I love them both. I'm surprised the brand is not more popular.
I just started using Kanebo Allie and I have found my perfect sunscreen! I look forward to wearing it because it's so nice on the skin and works perfect as a primer if I want to wear makeup. It does have a slight white cast but it disappears on my skin after it sets. It leaves no stain on clothing and doesn't sting my eye! Doesn't cause any break out and I find it is moisturising as well.
It’s so crazy to me that you describe the Elta MD Clear S being good for oily skin as opposed to dry skin. I have extremely dry skin and have a hard time finding a sunscreen that doesn’t make my skin feel and dry and tight. The Elta MD clear leaves me this perfect dewy GLOW and doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry at all. I find this and colorscience look the same on my skin and leave me very comfortable and wanting to wear it everyday!
Hi Andrea, I just want to thank you for all you are doing for us. I am learning so much from your channel and this helped me starting to take care of my long time neglected skin. I love the Olay one! I had no idea it's actually good from the doctor's standpoint. Thank you! I have been thinking about getting the eucerin as well but the reviews made me change my mind, but now I will.
I love both Allie and Skin Aqua! But if I have to choose one I’d choose the Allie. It doesn’t have a somewhat shiny finish which I kinda like. But if you don’t like the shine you can apply some powder on top and you’d have the perfect dewy look!
I fell in love with the walgreens sensitive skin spf 50 (dr. Dray recommendation) and its only 3 bucks!!! But of course, i find something i love and voila its hard to find or not selling it no more; this is the case with walgreens, all of a sudden, cant get it. Went to ulta and got the jack black, first time trying it. I like the lotion like consistency, applied lovely and i like the glow it gives me. Doesnt feel greasy, the feel on skin its great, not heavy (i have dry mature skin) light/medium tone. I think i found my replacement😊 thank you Dr. Dray💗💗💗
Thanks for this video! I've been a fan of the hybrid sunscreens for the last 40 years (Olay, FTW)! I use them as a morning moisturizer and then layer other sunscreens (especially tinted mineral ones) over them. And now, during the pandemic when I rarely leave the house, they've been my everyday sunscreens. So, I'm always looking for new ones. I've used the Cerave AM one and it did NOT work for me--stinging plus major pilling. Instead, I prefer the Cetaphil Daily Oil-Free Moisturizer (SPF 35) which is similar (even the bottles are the same shape), but with no stinging or pilling. Have you done a video on hybrid moisturizers for the body? I wear SPF on my body every day, even in winter when I'm covered in heavy layers. But it seems like it's getting harder and harder to find body lotions that have SPF in them. And the regular sunscreen lotions are too thick and sticky and leave a cast.
I had been using the Olay sunscreen moisturizer. I have oily skin and it really works well for me. I purchased a more expensive one with iron oxides after I heard that you needed it. I think I will use my olay when I stay inside and keep the tinted one for when I am outside more.
I’m a railroader who works outside at least 12 hours a day. I do generally use Asian sunscreens on my body, because they take less rubbing in when I reapply. However, when I run out or my package is delayed, I ALWAYS get the Jack Black sunscreen. It’s the best water resistant American sunscreen I’ve found. 9.5/10.
Dr. Dray, I suffer from excessive face sweating and worry about my sunscreen melting off. What should I look for in a sunscreen, is sunscreen being water proof enough?
Awesome! Thanks! These videos are so great in maybe trying a new sunscreen. I am still in love with the anthelios 100 SPF you mentioned a while ago. I appreciate the info and research
Dr Dray - thanks for a great video! Since these sunscreens contain chemical and mineral Filters, can I layer purely mineral sunscreens with them? thank you!
Enjoyed this. I've used the Jack Black and Cerave ones mentioned and I like both. Thanks for the list!! Happy Friday, Dr Dray! I hope you, your sweet momma and little Tybee have a lovely weekend. 💕
Love your videos Thank you for sharing so much important information------just realized I am iron deficient ---OMG so happy I watched your video-----Question for you what daily sunscreen do you recommend for the neck ?
I’ve come to really love Elta MD UV Shield. UV Clear doesn’t play well with my other skincare, but UV Shield works well and isn’t as shiny/greasy as UV Daily. I just wish it was water resistant ☹️ But UV Pure is an all-mineral, water resistant one that works great for me when I’m outdoors a lot. I do love my Elta MD sunscreens!
Thanks for the video Dr. Dray! Quick question, I get what you say about Olay but have you reviewed their new-ish mineral face sunscreen? Did I miss your review? 🤔
I like Blue Lizard Mineral Based Face SPF 30 which is a hybrid. It is fragrance free and has hyaluronic acid. It uses Zinc and octinoxate. It is a little bit drying to me because I have super dry skin, but I just put some moisturizer on first. It has not bothered my eyes. It's very light weight. I just had a nightmare with the Avene Solaire UV Mineral Multi Defense. It burned my eyes so bad. I tried it a second day thinking it was a fluke, but no. Super burning and red eye after I accidentally got a little bit in there. Not sure what it was since it was mineral.
I am still searching for a sunscreen that I can tolerate on my eyelids, so I will give these a try. Do you have an opinion on whether sunscreens should be applied under a primer or on top of a primer? I also use an eyelid primer because my skin is super oily.
When should I use the hybrid sunscreen? Before or after moisturizer? My moisturizer is really hydrating is the Estee lauder anti oxidant 24h moisture spf15, so idk if the hybrid sunscreen above that will work for 100%. My hybrid sunscreen is the: canmake mermaid gel PA++++ 50
I just discovered Allie and just really love the fomulation. Exploring their range now but such a happy discovery for me. It's definately the sunscreen I want to put on everyday- which is the goal with sunscreen, right?
I learned about the Olay sunscreen from your video, tried and its now my # 1 sunscreen! Its very moisturizing but not greasy, easy application, and I look forward to use it everyday! I used 1 layer of mineral sunscreen in the morning, and use the Olay to reapply (mineral sunscreen is just too hard for reapplication....), works like a charm!
Drmtlgy is my #1 sunscreen for my face. Being fair skinned I don't mind all mineral sunscreens on my body. I wear sun protective clothing and always wear a hat when spending time outdoors.
As someone with hyperhidrosis I’d love to see your take on best sunscreens that are warmer resistant. I really been liking the La Roche-Posay spf 100. Thanks for always sharing your knowledge and opinion. Love you so much Dr Dray!!!!
Your videos are so informative - thank you, Dr. Dray! I always find them to be so useful - and your product reviews are super helpful too. My dermatologist has recommended TIZO but I haven’t seen you review it - have you tried it? Thx!
I have used Olay Complete SPF 30 for years and years. Cheap and easy to find. In both chemical and zinc oxide. Wish they make it with a tint, then I won't even need makeup.
I love skin aqua uv milk!! Super cosmetic elegant and doesn’t sting my eyes which is a huge plus. I only used it on my face or if I’m being stingy, I only used it on my forehead and around my eyes and use my other chemical sunscreen for rest of my face and body
What are your thoughts on Elta MD moisturizing facial sunscreen? It’s broad sprectrum and SPF 30. I find I really like this and it skips a step in my am skincare. I have never heard it reviewed and so it makes me wonder. Thank you for all of the help you have been to my skin care!!♥️. From Denver, where I know you spent some time with your sturdiest. So very dry conditions here!!!
Hybrid sunscreens are my go to sunscreens! I have an olive skin tone. Slightly tan naturally. Skin is acne prone. So I find the hybrids are perfect for me. I don’t get a white cast cause my skin isn’t too dark and it doesn’t aggravate my open acne wounds when I have them
Can you do your top 10 faves of Asian sunscreens from yessstyle ? Or do you have a video already made? I just looked through your playlists and I don’t see a play list for sunscreens. I’m really enjoying my skin Aqua one but always open to trying more
I have gotten so many bottles of sunscreens this year because you recommended it. I gave one that was tinted away to a coworker who is deeper skinned than I am. I love the Japanese sunscreens and I love love the DRmtlgy one too

You look so pretty! That color suits you very well!🥰😍
Hi Dr. Dray! Have you done a video on your top body sunscreens that are waterproof? I'd love good recommendations for swimming!
She did a swimming video about a year ago. I'd also try a search like, dr dray water resistant sunscreen or dr dray body sunscreen.
@@db-gb5xi Thanks as always for your help, d b! I’ll have to look at that one again💚. Happy Friday and have an awesome weekend👍🏼☕️😀☀️
@@vetsai8199 Hi VE Tsai. I hope you are doing well today.
I highly recommend trying the 9wishes sunscreen. It's a hybrid with no white cast, absorbs quickly and is affordable and available on iherb.
Happy Friday, Dr. Dray 😊🤍🎀🌸
Greetings Maricel Gundayao hope u r well n Happy Friday😀👍💜….
Happy Friday
Awesome! Thanks! These videos are so great in maybe trying a new sunscreen. I am still in love with the anthelios 100 SPF you mentioned a while ago. I appreciate the info and research
thanks for watching
Dr Dray - thanks for a great video! Since these sunscreens contain chemical and mineral
Filters, can I layer purely mineral sunscreens with them? thank you!
I use skin aqua as my sunscreen for god knows how long. It is the best sunscreen i've tried so far
Love combination sunscreens. DRMTGY and EltaMD are both great ones. Also like CANMAKE Japanese one.
Dr dray you look gorgeous!!! 💗 really glowing!! 🥰🥰
Thanks for the video Dr. Dray! Quick question, I get what you say about Olay but have you reviewed their new-ish mineral face sunscreen? Did I miss your review? 🤔
I tried Drmtlgy on your reco a year ago and now use the tinted on my face and un tinted on my neck every day. Thank You!!
That Olay sunscreen has been my favorite for over a decade!
it is so good
Canmake mermaid skin uv gel is my favorite!!
Dr.Dray my favourite girl ! ❤️ PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE recommend the best SCALP DETOX products ! Love uuuu
Are any of these safe? Chemical wise. Not looking to cause cancer while trying to prevent it.
This video was my reminder to reapply my sunscreen 🥰☀️
heey Dr Dray, thank for the review!
Thanks for watching
As someone with hyperhidrosis I’d love to see your take on best sunscreens that are warmer resistant. I really been liking the La Roche-Posay spf 100.
Thanks for always sharing your knowledge and opinion.
Love you so much Dr Dray!!!!
Your videos are so informative - thank you, Dr. Dray! I always find them to be so useful - and your product reviews are super helpful too. My dermatologist has recommended TIZO but I haven’t seen you review it - have you tried it? Thx!
I’ve just discovered Neova tinted hybrid sunscreen, it’s great! Nice tint, blends well, no white cast
Looking healthy and beautiful in blue and skin glowing and love the lip color on you 💄🤩
I have been away for a while. You look different. Have you had work done or are you using different facial products?
I love your new look.
Happy Friday! I'm actually loving eltaMD UV Retore tinted at the moment. My dry skin is loving it :)
Happy Friday! Olay complete spf 30 is my best for many years with Garnier Ombrelle mineral tinted lotion spf 60!
Hybrid sunscreens are my go to sunscreens! I have an olive skin tone. Slightly tan naturally. Skin is acne prone. So I find the hybrids are perfect for me. I don’t get a white cast cause my skin isn’t too dark and it doesn’t aggravate my open acne wounds when I have them
Happy weekend Dr Dray....see you tomorrow x💙🤩
Can you do your top 10 faves of Asian sunscreens from yessstyle ? Or do you have a video already made? I just looked through your playlists and I don’t see a play list for sunscreens. I’m really enjoying my skin Aqua one but always open to trying more
I have gotten so many bottles of sunscreens this year because you recommended it. I gave one that was tinted away to a coworker who is deeper skinned than I am. I love the Japanese sunscreens and I love love the DRmtlgy one too
I have the Epionce Ultra Sheild upon your recommendation and it is my Holy Grail❣️❣️❣️Not greasy looking❣️moisturizing ❣️great under any makeup or powder❣️I use it around my eyes when using any other tinted SPF that will goop up around my eyes, or when I use a sunless tanner…thanks so much for this one❣️❤️❤️❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
What sunscreens do ya'll use with Retin A sensitivity ? Something moisturizing to combat dryness/sensitivities?
