Harry, Awesome job on getting this VCORE line update out to the Tennis Nation so quickly. The first public presentation in North America AFAIK. Only disappointment is that if the specs are “unchanged” on the 95, you’ll find the RA still at a lowly 62. Was hoping they would bump that up to 64 and fuse the new advances with the modern solidness of the original SV95. Looking forward to the comprehensive road test.
Not surprised that Yonex is sneaking its way up. Quality control, superior craftmanship, made in japan all mean something. They also have the star power in noami osaka and shapovalov. For those that want no-nonsense racquet that’s going to be reliable and perform well, yonex has a lot to offer.
Have a chance to hit with the previous generation red Vcore 100 (300g and strung w RPM Blast) last month, yes this is a spin machine. At that time, I knew nothing about this series. So I went and did some research and released that this is a spin and speed type of racquet; and also there will be a new release in January. So Vcore line is speed & spin, and Ezone line is more in power. I am looking forward to have a chance to play-test the 98 and the 100 version once it is available.
from my experience, and because i fell lot of times in the trap of the ''UPDATED VERSION LINE'' , i don't believe in the marketing trends (since we all know that pros play with way much older versions of the rackets they currently endorsing). However, because i wanted to demo a YONEX racket and specifically the VCore 98 because i think it was best suited for my game, and eventually I LOVED IT, i have ordered the last generation in the Galaxy Black edition. Also, the red and blue colour scheme is not nice at all IMO.

The new one seems to feel a tiny bit stiffer due to the new beam design. RA rating of the new version will be 64 according to TWE, while the current one is 62. Also a little more stable in stock form.

Hello. I live in Europe in Romania and i am looking for grommets for 2021 Yonex Vcore Game. I can not find in Europe! Do you have? What is the price and shipping?
@Tennis Spin I'd be interested if you could also compare the new 95 to the last VC95 and the older SV95! Because the SV95 was stiffer and had more pop than the 2018 model
It's astonishing how Yonex always misses a mark for me to switch to it after 30+ years of playing with Babolat. Every time, I demo Yonex, I get that great feeling initially, that's it, I'm switching this year, only to find something wrong with their rackets to suit my game... Ordered and Waiting to demo the new VCORE's 95 and 98, but after so many disappointments, I don't hold my breath...
I played last generation of vcore95, unstable, you have to put weight up. I customized them to 320grams 31cm unstrung, was OK. Problem solved. But still, usual racket not special. But i love yonex QC! Its the best one. But i dont like VDM technology, i tried it on ezone, its too muted. Plus their stiffnes rating increase +2 to all vcores, problably because VDM.
Ben Lin My buddy and sometime doubles partner loved his RD7. He moved to a RD Impact Speed 98 sq inch years ago and loved it. Now, he moved to the VCORE 98 and loves it. The VCORE 98 is lighter in static weight and slightly more head light than the RD7. So, the swing wt and plow through is a less. But, it punches the ball well and swings great. I had fun using the 98 VCORE owned by a couple of tennis friends. But, I still like my RF 97 compared to the VCORE.
Bite is the grab that the string cuts into the ball with. Some strings are smooth and without shape or texture and therefore not recognized as spin string. A players stick is typically heavier 11 ounces or more. It has also has thinner beam to achieve more flex and control. The head size will also be smaller somewhere between a 95 & 97 sq in. This kind of racquet assumes the player has all the power he/she needs and looking for control in a frame.
NAMD was already in the current line and I believe the previous lines as well. That isn't new tech as Bynum states. The head is getting rounder which is interesting considering how the brand prides itself with the isometric shape.
It’s supposedly a new version of namd. “2 G NAMD” which I think means second generation. Big difference, I expect, is the VDM in the handle. I play with the current VCore 98 and the feel can be a little harsh at times. Some vibration dampening tech would be a very welcome enhancement IMO.

Ha, I have the RF97 and it plays nice. It has the swing ability for serving, groundies and vollies. And, if you want to add more weight, it can easily be arranged.

Only the 100 plus comes in the thinner beam which is a longer racquet. I think the reviews should be more specific. I think Harry's mind was more on the 95 for himself not to bother to review all as per the specs of each one. And still no response to why they don't make the 4 5/8. I remember in one of Harry's reviews where he mentioned taking of 3 over grips of someones racquet. Could it be because he could not find a big size grip.
Yonex tolerance is top notch. My two Vcore 95's are only 1 gram apart and exact same balance. I just bought a Blade V7 18x20 and it came in 2 grams over spec and 4 points off on balance (3 pts HL vs 7 advertised). Wilson told me that's within their spec and told me to just add weight to the grip to get to their advertised balance spec. Problem is, that would make my racquet 11 grams over spec. Garbage....

They had flexible grommets in the Ai98. Shit is bogus. Muted racquets suck, none of the Yonex I tried this year feel connected to the ball, hopefully they fix that for 2021. The Ezone Tour would be awesome if it wasn’t so muted.
did you play the Vcore Pro HD? That racket is sweet! It is buttery smooth and has tons of feel and plow through.
@@MMm-kp7lk I only tried the Vcore Pro 98 330. It was just OK, it didn’t feel any more connected than my Gravity Pro which is a seriously sweet stick.
@@2ndAveScents try the HD it is a serious players racket. If you take big swings at the ball and put a premium on feel and control it is one of the best. The flex is 59 which is really low. Talk about some serious plow through. The VDM mesh makes a big difference too. Almost zero vibrations.
@@MMm-kp7lk man I hate muted racquets, I’ve never had a problem with vibrations in any racquet, as long as you hit clean and it has good weight it shouldn’t be a problem. I’ll try it out though
🦠😷🤷🏾♂️
Paint job kind of whack tbh
that’s why the old one is better
I will wait another 5 years to get glossy racquet. And yes, glossy is faster through air, so all this speed bullshit with matted racquets make me laugh
Короче ни о чем, как обычно..🙄
What is the science behind isometric heads ? Seems like a load of hogwash, if you ask me.
i want this racquet. but its so ugly... and i know they will release better/diff paintjobs later on -_-
Switching to made in Japan Yonnex. No more made in China inferior quality
Yonex vcore 100 is very very very BAD
That racket is insanely ugly whoever designed the cosmetic should be fired. I could’ve come up with that trash
But harsh
