    Cons - $$$ expensive strings, machines, etc.

      I’d like to know on a per unit basis what the pro shop makes on equipment i.e. how much margin does a typical pro shop make on rackets and equipment. I’d also like to hear how much better the quality control on Yonex is vs. Wilson or Head. These are just opinions, data would be much more useful. For example take 5 WIlson rackets and weigh them and do the same for Yonex and see what the difference is. Yonex doesn’t get enough credit for the quality control and Wilson gets away with all sorts of bad inconsistencies because of their marketing

      Yonex prices are actually on par with Wilson, Head and Babolat sticks up here in Canada🇨🇦. Babolat charges you even more to get your rackets evenly matched🤦🏻‍♂️, weight wise (i.e. Pure Aero VS with their 1-2gram difference) for $300 a stick 😬

      Really though their string isn't all that much more expensive than the competition, considering it retains its tension longer thanks them pre-stretching it over a flame. Solinco Hyper G for example is about $12. Yonex Polytour Pro is $16. Not a big deal.

      Nadal uses a soft drive, right? But it's much heavier now and not on retail.

      Even his shoes are not retail. Look closely it's completely unlike his endorsement

    • @jeremykrugher
      @jeremykrugher 3 года назад

      @@jaysean9589 As I said Nadal uses Aero ProDrive from 2004 or 2005 i don't remember exactly. And yes it was a retail racquet once. No you can't buy it now because it was on the shelves 15 years ago. It had painted cortex on it once because that aeropro drive original was painted to look like a model from 2013 to show that Nadal was endorsing the one from 2013 but in reality he was still playing with the Original as he is today. Yes it is much heavier because he customises it with lead tape to reach 368 swingweight (retail without lead tape has around 320). TENNISSPIN has upload a video where he goes through Babolat racquets from that family (was AeroPro Drive before, now is called Pure Aero) and in that video he shows the Original from all those years ago that Rafa actually is using. My point was to make a video where he can customise it to simulate Rafa's specs.

    Problem with tennis rackets is when he places the racket next to him, some of these rackets look nearly half the size of his body. This is hurting tennis, so many uncoordinated people are using these easy to hit rackets that allow them to hit the ball, it's the easiest thing to do is hit a rubber ball over a net, no need for all these rackets. I suppose it allows more people to play but they are not really playing tennis, it's more the racket is helping them all the way, so they don't really know how to play a traditional game of tennis.

    wait what? the yellow poly tour pro and the blue poly tour pro are the same string but just in different color. you must have known this... cmon.
    Plus, yes, poly tour pro gives you a plastic like feel at contact, but the actual data shows that it is the softest of the yonex poly string line ups. Did you test the strings side by side with same tension and racquet?

    Mr Tennis Spin. Buying an Ezone for my 14 year old daughter who started playing a few months ago and really likes it. Down to the 100L or the 105. Which would you recommend more for my kid?

      @@michaelchang4738 If she's just playing for fun, then I'll say the 105. Easier to hit with. If she is considering playing long term and improving her game, then I'd go with the 100L, and it'll be an smaller transition to her next racket. You probably can't go wrong with either!

      Oh yeah. Definitely still are #1 in badminton. Victor and Li-Ning are the closest competitors. A lot of people don't know this, but the grips, bags, and essentially the clothing are dual use for badminton or tennis. They also do golf, and in their Tokyo showroom you'll even find snowboards and a road bike (bicycle).

    I always called them Yonex (yo like yo homie) and then I got a job in the industry and all my colleagues pronounce it like Yahnex. So I doubted myself. Then I saw TW's Yonex Brandography video and Yonex themselves pronounce it like me. So turns out I was right and most other people are wrong.

    Hi one question here. For strings, what’s the difference between yellow and blue poly tour pro

    • @AKBadminton
      @AKBadminton 3 года назад

      Besides the color, there's technically no difference. He made a mistake on the video. It's just different packaging. He did call the yellow one "firmer" and the blue one a "more comfortable" string though 🤔. Also, Tour Super 850 is a multi, not a synthetic.

    • @msalvs
      @msalvs 3 года назад

      The difference is the colour, this spin guy is pretty clueless (PS- he’s an idiot and talks way too slow for people not to get bored and go into the comment section to troll&hate)
