I think Julie Pierce has a better chance of showing up in this movie than in Cobra Kai. The KKL movie seems to be solely focusing on Miyagi's legacy and the different familial connections. Or she could show up in both😃

Some sites mentioned that while it takes place after Cobra Kai. The series is it's own thing and doesn't appear in the movie. Which is why it looks like that. (Cobra Kai at this point is more like a "What If")

But then again, when interviewers from sites and other shows asked about Jackie Chan's "Karate Kid" and whether it would appear in Cobra Kai or if it was also part of the "Miyagi-verse," they would say, "No. It's its own thing" as well. And now, this new movie seems to contradict that. So, who knows what's canon in this franchise?
@@Dremag_Gaming Well it's a missed opportunity. I like Chan but never saw his 'Karate kid' b/c of the obvious nepotism involved and wasn't Kung-Fu, not Karate? If the producers aren't smart enough to pivot off of the goodwill and continuity of Cobra Kai ( NOT a perfect show, btw) then it will fail. I feel bad for Macchio but it seems like he's just doing it for a check so I'm sure he's good :)
