Repairing Floyd Rose bridge post holes (part 1)

  • In this video series, I repair a problem I found with my Dean ML where the bridge posts for the Floyd Rose bridge were leaning forwards. I split the video into three parts as it got a little long. Follow on to see what I did and how I fixed the problem.

    Ah now I know why the bushings on my strat copy kept coming out when using the bar, the holes were drilled to wide ! So the flutes would not grip in the wood. Man that took me some time to figure out😂

    Should make it 11mm and use the Gotoh locking studs. They very hard, I have installed them in 89 on a strat with the edge trem and I've never had to mess with them in 35 years.
    Something to think about.??

      +1 for the Gotoh. The GE1996T rules with those 11.3mm studs along with some shortened string lock screws.
