  • In this video, we take a look at how to paint one of the OG Space Marine Chapters of Warhammer 40k, the Crimson Fists! AS with all our Army Painting vides we try to achieve a scheme that is relatively quick to complete but will give you a really fantastic looking army, both on the table and on the shelf. This is how we approach army painting.

I started crimson fists last year so I really enjoyed your take on this scheme. The artwork inspiration was very interesting, mine definitely turned out more 'modern 40k' due to being loosely based on the recent WD tutorials. I'm checking out your patreon tomorrow for those army + videos as well 👌

Lovely take, I adore desaturated schemes. Would love to see how you'd tackle a CSM scheme for army painting (e.g. 40k Emperor's Children with their tricky pink + black) - similar to your DG video, they're such busy (but awesome) models.

Striking Scorpion can you tone down that almost neon green paint scheme?

  • @NeoNaiche

I think the eyes should have been done in a more “Rogue Trader” Yellow/Amber, as it provides a pop of warmth, and attention to the face. The Turquoise seems to blend into the blues too much for my taste.
Fantastic tutorial, though! Great techniques, and a lot of talent. Thankee for sharing!

As always, a great video and a beautifully painted model. My only criticism is that fist isn't really crimson - I think it should have been brighter, to pop out. That muted mauve colour kinda gets lost against the rest of the model for me.
