Thanks, awesomesus. I know that RUclips recommends longer videos (at least 10 minutes) but I would rather get to the meat of the matter when it suits it than drag it out with unnecessary information just for the sake of length. Thank you for acknowledging that.
I was searching about halftones and your channel appeared and want to thank you for this tutorial!!! Im a newby on procreate and your tips and how you use the app help and will help me a lot!!! Thank you so much 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
I love your channel and everything you so kindly share as well as teach. I Can see you’re an artist. It would be wonderful to watch a art tutorial by you.
@@MakeThisBrush I think your an artist and definitely a genius. Thank you for the wonderful tools for art that you so kindly share with your time and mind. You’re so appreciated.
Would it be possible to achieve this same effect but with the halftone dots on a fixed grid? So that the halftones don't overlap from multiple strokes. Thanks for the guide by the way. I spent hours looking for brushes and none of them did the job as well as this one.
No, it's built-in. At least it should be. In SHAPE, there should be an EDIT button beside SHAPE SOURCE that when you tap on goes to SHAPE EDITOR. Tap in IMPORT where you'll get the IMAGE SOURCE OPTIONS drop down menu. The third option would be SOURCE LIBRARY.
I’ve created my brush using a Gaussian Blur that matches the appearance you had, but for me that was 11% instead of 50. Any ideas why? Other procreate tutorials have had similar issues where my Gaussian blur acted very differently. When I took it to 50% I couldn’t see the circle at all with only a single layer
Hi Eli. Maybe it has something to do with your canvas size? I use a 3,000x3,000 canvas for my brush template so if you're using a smaller canvas, your shape would be smaller and would require less blur value. Maybe, I'm not really sure. :D
This tutorial is great!! Just one question, is it possible to make this brush, but without the pattern rotating when rotating the canvas? I hope I’m making sense.
The pen that I use for drawing doesn't come with pressure sensitivity. Is there any way I can get the dots to be smaller or larger without needing pressure sensitivity?
I don't believe so. If you are using an older iPad some of the brush or grain shapes and textures might not be available. If you're using a more current one, it should be in the SOURCE LIBRARY when you tap EDIT, IMPORT then SOURCE LIBRARY. Hope you find it!
@@MakeThisBrush Thanks but i did find it. After tapping shape, i also have to tap Shape source on the right side. There's no Edit on mine. But under shape source there's Shape Editor then import, then source Library. Thanks for answering!
This channel is so underrated it is criminal! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!!❤❤
The extra tips on how to correct misbehaving brushes is so useful. Thank you.
You're welcome! I do my best...
I really like how you get straight into the point and how you give extra tips also!

under “grain” you can turn off Offset Jitter so it doesn’t overlap
@@snakeoil2155 Thank you so much! This is exactly the effect I've been trying to achieve.

I've been wanting to use a halftone brush for awhile, but the ones online are too expensive. Thanks!

Thanks, smmis. Try turning off ORIENT TO SCREEN in the PROPERTIES panel in the brush settings, maybe that'll work. :)

Hi, sorry. Unfortunately you do need pressure sensitivity to achieve the effect.
Why don't i have that library when i click import? is this something i have to buy?

@@thetonys I see. Glad to hear it!
I have to wait for the apple pencil to make this, since i have a stylus.
Hope you do. It's a great (tho admittedly, rather expensive) tool. But worth it IMO.
@@MakeThisBrush yeahhh m trying to save up for it 😁 n btw thanks for such quick responses ❤️
i love you ❤
Aww... 😊😊😊🥰🥰🥰
Is it possible to do this in photoshop?
Hmmm... I'm not sure. Going from Procreate to Photoshop is a lot more complicated.
I love you
Ditto. :)
