    Great to see you back Ross, was going to chime in but you nailed it there in last minute exactly how I see things. Outsiders might think you wasted your time, that you failed as you didn't win gold, make the grade, make the team or whatever... but none of what they think matters, if you followed your heart and did the best that your ability would allow, you a winner in your own mind. None of their exterior yardsticks matter.
    The only regret would be looking back thinking that you wasted your fleeting time on this planet and didn't push yourself to see how far you could go or how great you could have been.

      Rick B maybe not a winner, but a better man. Built some character, grew confidence where doubt once was, improved and progressed on his own scale. A happier man.

    Great video Ross. I came across your videos about 10 years ago as an amateur boxer making just 12 grand a year in my day job. I wanted to do some extra strength and conditioning work but couldn’t afford to throw money at a commercial gym (or particularly enjoy training in them anyway). I googled ‘home gym’ and your content was easily the best of what I found and I’ve followed your site, channel and suggestions ever since. I started with a pull-up bar, a homemade dipping station made of recycled wood and a weighted vest (backpack full of magazines) and I still use them all today. As a boxing fan from the UK it was a great surprise to see you appear in Katie Taylor’s corner and I immediately recognised your intensity and focus in her work. Basically I’m trying to say thanks for the ideas and inspiration over the years and keep up the good work!! (ps. if you're ever in the North of England with time to spare you'd be a very welcome guest at our boxing club)

    Great advice! Also I think the ability to give your best is versatile. If you can excel at one thing than you can become good at what-ever-you-choose. Having that said, if the time comes and you decide not to train but to do something else with your life - the attitude, work ethic, ability to push yourself help a top in whatever you decide to do. Hard work is never lost time.

    Ross I lift Monday's Wednesday's Friday after ward I like doing a 15 minute high intensity cardio I was doing sprints 3 times a week but I wanted variation..now I sprint Monday ..plyometric circuit Wednesday and heavy bag Friday..however I've really adapted to the sprints and plyo and they seem easier...I need to be winded to be satisfied..I wanna get in kickass shape and other forms of cardio you recommend or how to make these forms harder? Thanks

      @RossEnamait1977  8 лет назад +2

      It all depends on what you are training for, but I'm a big fan of hill work (sprints and longer mountain runs). Rapidly swinging a sledgehammer is also a great conditioner.

      I've been posting shorter videos to Instagram, but am hoping to get back to posting somewhat regularly here. I've just been so busy offline in the gym that I haven't had much time for RUclips videos.
