This Fish Saved my Day!

- Very hard day fishing in Lake Macquarie but was saved by a cracking fish!. I tested out the OSP Bent Minnow and caught my first surface fish for the season.. Afterwards the day become very slow, , had to change up my lures and go back to basics, and that move quickly paid off.

Good to see a slow day turns into a great day. Too many bad days at the moment with all the restrictions can't wait to get back down the Valley not much happening up inThe Upper Hunter at the moment.
My mood completely changed when I caught that fish. Was 4 hours of nothing.

Congratulations on your topwater catch & the Flathead. No Lake Macquarie Kayak anglers are presently recording quantity & quality fish catches. I will try again tomorrow in Cockle Creek (wind may still be an issue & I prefer not to be out on the Lake if windy & gusty). I do not expect to catch any fish but it will be good to be out on the water again & enjoying the environment. 15 - 20 kmh Northerly swinging to NE 15- 25 kmh around the middle of the day. Low tide (estimate) between 10.00am & noon so I plan on fishing the last of the runout & an hour or so of the run-in. Sunny with cloud 24 degrees. Should be reasonably pleasant. Thanks for sharing.

I miss Wangi a lot! was my stomping ground for the last 37 years. Even lost me V in the toilet near the southern Wangi boat ramp hahahaha No longer have a house there :( Thanks for the vid.

Loved the action and the breathtaking shots, really good video too watch! I’ve recently purchased a kayak and formerly I was mainly using bait to fish but since I have the kayak now I’m trying to get better with the lures but I’m having quite a hard time. I was wondering if u had any tips?
