Learning Russian using Stranger Things only

This week I spent some time learning Russian, the language of Russia and the former Soviet Union. However, I didn't try and learn it the conventional way; I decided to try and learn it using nothing but Netflix's Stranger Things season three. I deciphered all the Russian dialogue from the show and had help from my friend Ana to come up with the translations and pronunciations. In the end I wasn't fully able to have a full conversation in Russian but at least I learned a bit and gained a new liking in a new language!

The funny thing is that I am Russian and do not understand the words that Americans speak Russian language. In Russian you need to clearly pronounce every sound. You're an exception, I understand what you're saying.

Not really there are hubdredss of proples in federation and moscow is made of emigrants you can barely find a single russian there. You don't need to pronounce perfectly you just need to at least make an attempt and spend 2 hours once learning the alphabet. instead of ignoring half of the letters making up sounds on the fly and outright not caring
Now you just have to learn spanish with dora

@@CyrionWillems I am from Russia, and sometimes it was challenging even for me, because part of the actors speak Russian here with an accent.

I'm really interested in languages, and I thought that this would be entertaining. Also, your video of you trying street photography of strangers is very cool! I really want to try it myself

Cyrion Willems yeah, some of the scenes has subtitles and some didn’t I’m not sure there could maybe, maybe not be clues to season 4, that is how it was in season 1 when El spied on the Russian it gave a hint to season 3

Considering that half of the cast barely even pronounce things...
Though one of them is a singer composer he is a real russian.
Your Russian accent is pretty good. But you do have some mistakes in the words. Like using certain words that don't fit in the sentence. But other than that, It's pretty good.
