Russian is my third language, I've been learning tha language for about 4 years now, though i barely know anything in russian so it's time to learn the language on my own since school hasn't taught me anything. 🤓 Gonna start with better than us thank u ❤️
@@Ignes88 yes, definitely! I mean, I can understand 4 languages that I've never learned, therefore it's kinda sad that I still cannot understand russian 😐
@Tom scat I've passed all my exams with A+, got all the points... etc. though, I don't really think I improved 🤭😃 now that I have holidays I'm taking break from school and learning. Also I gotta be honest with you, there's zero motivation in me to learn at the moment 🙈 thanks for asking tho 😸
Great tips! Now we are looking forward to a video of yours in Russian! I have been studying it for 3 years and my level is roughly B1, although it worsened over the year for not practicing it. By they way, it would be a nice topic explaining why you are part Russian and part American (obvioulsy if you feel to).
Thanks :) I'm currently self teaching myself Russian and it's so much more difficult than other languages I have learnt. My dad is American and my mum is Russian and they both moved to the UK before I was born
I'm Croatian so learning russian is a bit easier for me but this will help a lot since I haven't been learning for very long and I'm also looking for new shows to binge so two birds with one stone i guess.
I can really recommend a show called Dyatlov Pass (Перевал Дятлова) - a 2020 show based on real events that took place in 1959 when a group of students mysteriously died during a ski trek in the Ural mountains. I think everyone in Russia heard about this incident. I'm usually quite sceptical about Russian TV shows but this one is really well made.
The Optimists is pretty good so far. I think it's only 1 season and I'm halfway through it but it's basically a cold war Era show with Mad Men vibes. The production value is really good and the did a great job with scenery, outfits, attitudes, etc.
On netflix you should try "Deeper!" it's a comedy. Or classic russian movies like "Brother"/"Brother 2". Or "Cargo 200" - with this be careful, it's hard movie. "The method" also not bad, it's a detective series. And, ofcorse "hardcore henry" 🙂
I tried watching To The Lake but personally didn’t really enjoy it so didn’t add it to the list. Could you share the link to the movie you watched on RUclips?
Hi Kat, thanks for this video. I recently relocated from London to Bishkek. Central Asia. Only 2 languages are spoken here. Kyrgyz and Russian. I am learning Russian fast as I have no means of communicating with the locals. I attend Uni to learn, I also have a private tutor. Watching Russian shows will definitely help me along.
Наверное трудно следить за сюжетом и эмоциями в фильме, когда нужно читать перевод к сериалу внизу в субтитрах? Лучше бы был перевод даже одним голосом на Netflix.
