The car in the video is actually the 1996 Championship winning quattro version. The yellow banner which read "Audi quattro" across the windshield is a dead giveaway as the 1997 car sported a red/gray banner which read "Phillips Car Systems" on the BTCC A4 and "Audi A4" on the 1997 WTCC A4.
You are incorrect. The Audi was running the quattro system in 1996 when it won the BTCC championship. It was in 1997 that the FIA imposed the rule which did not allow all wheel drive to be used in the BTCC!

The low noise level is because even race cars have to run under db limits. Example at the 24h at the Ring the maximum noise allowed is 98db..and they controll it at three placed hrough the whole race.

The BTCC A4 quattro is gorgeous...infact the B5 body still looks great beside newer cars aswell!

My old man has a Audi A4 1.8 liter turbo car. Let me tell you, its a blast to drive. Its almost as much fun as driving my turbo DSM... almost. ;-)

V8 Flachschieber so solls sein das ist ein Sound. Und der 2L 16V macht auch ordentlich Sound.

@Greenwood4365 Audi already had quattro just before the 80's.So its very real,that the 96' car was quattro.
