Can this lens deform faces on ASP-C? I'm really interested in purchasing it, but my friend suggested buying a 24-70 lens instead, claiming that this particular lens distorts faces due to its wide-angle nature.

Yes, unfortunately it only works on crop sensor cameras. For full frame they made the Sigma 24-35mm F2.0 DG HSM
