  • In this video I pretty much just rant about my frustrations with an ignition tech department, and what I had to go through. Maybe some of the information in this video inadvertently helps someone out there.

    Again I feel your pain …… MSD really need to pull up there socks ! Maybe contact ICE IGNITION Australia they may help with your issues or UP GRADE to ICE 😂 Aussie Camaro owner !

      Lol. Yeah I don't think they are going to anytime soon. I'm just happy it's fixed... I've never heard of ICE IGNITION. I will definitely be looking into them. Thanks for the tip

    after buying 2 boxes i changed to a gm module 40 bucks,and it runs better than ever

    Dang, you couldn’t even do the best of 2 out of 3 tech tip as all 3 gave different answers. May needed to call to get the best out of 5 or 7 😆

      Hell, maybe I should do that Lol. Keep calling and see how many different answers I get. In the end I should have just went with my gut... I'm still hesitant to send the old one in for repair.

    How do you have a bad anything when it started and ran with the blaster2 i don’t care if it’s not the right coil,speaking of all the stuff they said was bad? I will say I bought a new coil and assumed my problem was fixed but it was crap and I took it out of the package so I know it can get frustrating

      I know right! it was so frustrating, and confusing. It went against everything I thought I knew. It ran with 2 different blaster coils, and wouldn't run with 3 different HVC2 coils. And in the end they didn't have a clue.

    MSD is not as good as it used to be, just like everything else. I have seen lots of people complaining about MSD. Time to find another brand!

    Been hearing alot of negative stuff on MSD lately, I'm all MSD ignition also
    Such a shame to see a good company start apparently goin down hill
    Guess if anything ever goes wrong with mine ,I guess I'll be looking at other companies had good luck with Mallory in the past

      Yeah, it sucks. I hope they can turn it around... The problem is Holley owns MSD and Mallory. I heard they aren't going to make any more Mallory parts. Once they sell out of stock that's it. I had a Mallory distributor in my car and needed a rotor. I had to get it from Moroso, because they stopped making it.

    MSD techs probably are not real MSD techs like before they sold out to Holley. Years ago when my 6AL did the same I called MSD they pinpointed over the phone it was 1 of 3 things that went wrong with the box and they already had 3 prices for each fix. Sent it to El Paso and had it back in 1 week and only cost me $25. Been in my car over 10 years now.
    Brother, its all the same when calling Holley for other manufactures. When I called them to ask questions about the Weiand oil pan I just bought - they had minimal info on it. Im like WTF.

      I'm sure they use to be better before. Honestly this is the first time I ever had to call for something. I've never had a problem with any of their products before. I really felt like I knew more than they did.
      My plan is to send the box in for repairs. Hopefully they can fix it. That way I can at least have a spare in the trailer. With any luck that goes smoother.

      @@jimkiernan2855 Well from what you have said then yes they were better. I really can not stand how Mr. Gasket and Holley own so many companies that use to be better before they bought them.
      Always good to have a back up - sucks you had to waist all your money on stuff you didn't need to get. Im guessing you cant send all that stuff back 👎

    ever since holley bought msd it's been going down hill. The engineers are not much better. The whole holley carb team know nothing about carburetors, just look at the emulsion packages there using now.
