Goodbye LEICA Q2 - 2024 Why I sold it…
This was one of my grail cameras. It was a joy to use and I still have a special place for it in my heart, but there were some things I couldn’t overlook and have been resolved by using different tools. Maybe it was GAS and just having so many options now that didn’t make me feel like I needed to stick to it. One thing I’ll tell you, as much reputation as the name has that was never the reason I got the camera so it was definitely not a justification to keep it. We are all on different photo and video journeys finding what is the best tool for ourselves.
Nonetheless, I can proudly say I used it for over a year and got it out as much as I could. I’ll be making another video talking about what I’ve replaced it with and if it fills the role. Let me know your thoughts on the camera!

Can’t go wrong with A7C series, their cameras have everything you need to do anything. I have the A7CII and love being able to swap to video and use LUTS in camera.

How do u get a better image by overexposing a digital camera??

Thanks for watching! It varies by camera due to the sensor as well as the metering setting. With this one I noticed that in many scenarios the camera meter would indicate balanced exposure but it would be darker than expected. This was more so the case when I chose to shoot black and white, in color it was a mix. Leica cameras like this one are known for saving highlights being a bit of a learning curve.
