The question of doping is not in context. What’s makes her great is her running technic well ahead of her time (even now). 30 years gone and all other questionably doped records are broken but hers still stand. That is the what greatness means.
I'm watching her right now on the 80s sitcom '227', had to look her up. Sad she passed so young, a short decade later after setting records that STILL hasn't been broken over 30 years later!
Absolute legend with pure confidence. She was smiling halfway down the track. She knew she would win. She had already won mentally and physically before the race.
Thank you!!, finally someone that knows the obvious. Yeah she ruined track because no one can beat her records. They said she was on a high levels of steroids that's what killed her.
Definitely was. There is no question. Evelyn could beat the drugged athletes of those days. And did in this race except for one. Not even a drugged Marion Jones could come near this.
Florence before 1987 says she was on drugs in 1988. One magical year is the only reason people know her. And the only reason they don’t know Evelyn Ashford. One unexplainable year if steroids are not considered.
@@Cloudhopper4 So? How many East German athletes were caught? Marita Koch or Jarmila Kratochvilova were never caught, but do you think their PBs are legit? The tests were not realiable back then, they just detected what the athletes had taken within the last two weeks or so. You can't improve your 100 and 200 m times by more than half a second within a few months at the age of 29 and thrash the previous world records at will (!) on several occasions. Anyone who buys this BS might as well be believing in fairy tales.
It's been 5 decades, and no woman has beat her.
I miss her! She was so beautiful too.💓🌹😘

She is the greatest doper of all time
What made her great was doing. Stop being naive.
Women’s 400m dope record still stands along with others
Stunning🥇🥇

florence griffith joyner gave track & field life. I still remember her long hair flowing n the wind as she ran. The day she died was a sad day indeed.
Unforgettable. A true legend.
Flo Jo simply the best, R.I.P. Queen 👸
Frequency and relaxation
She was stunning even with Less. Too bad she passed away so soon. RIP.

How many sprinters do you see smiling and running so effortless, because most be making crazy looking faces and or strenuous facial expressions.
This amazing runner 🏃🏻♀️ also had epilepsy and still managed to do all this❤️😭🙈💜💛wow !!
Si, y tambien tuvo problemas de dopaje, una de tantas deportistas estadounidenses que sin drogas no son nada...
She had no history of epilepsy until after 89.
@@didacvzHow does it feel to be wrong?
Her legs are not moves so fast but she moving forward fast because she was floating while she run.. almost like doing triple jump but she is not
Like she knows how to wake up and SO CAL JAM AS NEEDED ❤ Flo-Jo BRUIN GOLD 😊
Never forget the Queen of the track.
Flojo looked like she was floating
Lol she looks so relaxed, a true athlete. She unfortunately was taken too soon. No other woman has broken her world record.
BLACK GIRL MAGIC !
🐐
Wow! Magical. She was flawless. I envy those who grew up seeing her compete. Been a Shelly-Ann fan but FloJo, well damn. Greatest ever.
Flo Jo the most celebrated dope athlete in history 🙏🏽
Evelyn has a terrible start, but still managed to run the Soviet and German down.
Evelyn was the greatest. Even against drugged athletes. Except for this one during this year.
30 years later that can’t figure out what she was actually doing while running. Very gifted
My legend forever🙏 U will never be missed sprint queen
What happened in lane 4?
Torn hamstring. Anelia Nuneva, a very promising Bulgarian runner.
*drug worn out*
Slayed.
I was a kid when I saw this epic scene on TV. My childhood crush Flo Jo. RIP
out on her own-will she ever be surpassed?
She was on steroids!
she wasn’t u dumbass
@@teevee7678 Everyone in these levels is on steroids.

You already know who it is... Flojo Flojo
😍😍😍
POWERFUL AND NICE GAME.........
MAXIMUM PLAYERS IS STAMINA FULL STRONG FULL, TECHNICAL FULL, AND POWERFUL.......
BUT WINER IS WONDERFUL .....
She could have created the new world record if she didn't raise her arms.
200% 약물입니다....
그리고 그 결과는 죽음 이었다......
Is there steroids in that Hershey's Gold?
GONE TOO SOON!!!!!!!
#FloJo 💨
You think with all the advances in sports science and strength & conditioning her records would have been surpassed by now... It's kind of odd.
Doping will do that
She used performance enhancing drugs, that’s why
I bet them Jamaicans study FloJo’s running technique every day. 😅
Nah, they rather sit bacc to whine and moan about "steroids" because their fav slow runner got beaten by an American.
I wish they stored samples from her time... we need the truth
Quand la tricherie prend l'ascenseur,la vérité prend l'escalier mais finit par arriver
Nobody is close to her records. She was on the juice most probably. She certainly have the looks of a "juicer".
No you fucking idiot, stop trying to spread lies.

Anybody see the girl beside her cramping 😅
Torn hamstring.
I don't think it's fair to laugh at that.
(Yet I kind of laughed at your post, so uh...)

Correct. Doping is associated to these levels. I see lotta uninformed guys here.
